Delicious food with reasonable prices. The ambience and food presentation is amazing and very picturesque. Biggest downside is that service is slow. I would recommend ordering everything you want the first time they come around. The restaurant is not very large and I have waited 10-15 minutes for some extra sauce when they aren't busy. There have always been time where they forget to bring things that I have asked for. Do not get me wrong though the wait staff is extremely friendly and I love coming here all the time.

We've had lunch ordered for the whole office a few times now, and I have to say, the food has always been delicious! My coworkers usually stick with their hibachi plates, while I love to mix things up. I've enjoyed trying their lunch roll specials and different appetizers. I can't wait to experience dining in soon!

This is my 10 year olds go to spot when he's in the mood for sushi. His favorite roll is the foxy lady. This trip we came with my 20 year old daughter as well. We all enjoyed our meals. My daughter finally ordered mango rice which none of us have had before. It had a beautiful presentation. She also ordered various single pieces of sushi and sashimi. Her critique was the tuna sashimi was cut too thick which took away from its appeal. I tried her scallop sushi which was so sweet and delicate- I loved the flavor and texture. My son had the foxy lady which was superb as always. I ordered Tomyum soup with chicken. This is the first time I didn't enjoy this soup. The asparagus was perfectly cooked but the broth was a bit off today. It didn't have the aromatic sweet and sour taste that I typically enjoy. They were kind and removed it from my check. I also had the coconut shrimp tempura roll and summer roll. The coconut shrimp tempura is very good but I prefer the crunch of plain shrimp tempura. Just a personal preference- they did nothing wrong. The summer roll was amazing as usual. All in all this was a great experience. The waiter was kind and quick. The food was great. I'm hoping the Tom yum was just a one off- as this is something I've been ordering for years and throughly enjoyed in the past.

Pretty good sushi spot! The fish was so fresh I half expected it to introduce itself, and the chefs surprised me with an off-menu appetizer--felt like I unlocked a hidden sushi level. Cozy vibes, great service, and solid sushi. Definitely coming back for more!

The service is excellent and they have a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. From appetizers to desserts, you won't be disappointed. My personal favorites are the Spicy Kani Salad, the Volcano Roll, and the Chicken and Broccoli. My boyfriend's personal favorites are the Honey Sesame Chicken, Scallion Pancakes, and the Basil Chili Chicken.

Consistently delicious! Fresh veggies, I'll love that it's never greasy and fresh variety of vegetables. Takeout staff/hostess are always on point, super easy ordering and pick up. Ginger salad dressing is amazing- I buy it by the pint!

12.27.21 I recently found another one of my new go to spots for sushi when I'm in this Waterbury area. I try to have at least one spot in each town for when I have the sushi craving which is often. I started going here a short while ago and I've been back many times since my first time. I was pleasantly surprised that this town has, in my opinion, a go to sushi spot that is worth stopping at and continuing to stop at. The service has been very good with both dining in and to go/take out options. They're very pleasant and hospitable here. The restaurant is clean every time I've been here. It's a cool looking place inside with vibrant colored lights and a nice vibe. The sushi is always fresh with no complaints at all. There's an average sized parking lot with ease of access into it from the main road and easy access back out onto the main road. You'll be happy you ended up stopping by and trying them out as I have.

La BoriChina - Waterbury, Connecticut…read more I saw someone mention La BoriChina and knew I had to check it out. Located at 105 Meriden Rd in Waterbury, Connecticut, this place serves Puerto Rican-Chinese fusion--a combination I've only ever had back on the island. I got up, dressed quickly, grabbed a coffee, and headed out, hoping for some fried chicken and Puerto Rican pork fried rice. The first thing that caught my eye was the drive-through. Around here, drive-throughs are usually just for fast food, so seeing one at a Puerto Rican-Chinese spot felt unexpected in the best way--like watching our food and culture evolve and progress. The building sits on a small incline, so watch your step when getting out of the car--the sidewalk has yellow-marked elevated sections. Outside, everything was spotless: no moss, no winter mess, and the parking lot was free of garbage. Walking in, the cleanliness continues: the front counter is large and brightly lit, bathrooms are to the left, and tables line both sides. It's mostly takeout-focused, but plenty of seating is available if you want to stay. Salsa music played, giving the space a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. I even checked the restroom before ordering, and I was impressed--not just recently cleaned, but clearly maintained consistently. Ordering was easy. The employee was friendly, professional, repeated our order back, and handed over a buzzer. From our seats, I could see customers being helped quickly. The only wait was for the food itself--about 23 minutes. What we ordered (with prices): * Pork fried rice with pepper steak - $14.99 * Pork fried rice with pork chops - $14.99 * Garlic fried plantains - $5.95 * Three pieces of fried chicken with fries - $9.99 * Large passionfruit drink - $10.00 * Small piña colada with cherry - $8.00 * Coca-Cola - $2.79 * G100 to-go fee - $1.00 Desserts (ordered before leaving): * Coconut flan - $3.25 * Tres leches - $3.25 Subtotal: $6.50 Food impressions: * Pork fried rice with pepper steak: Rice was grainy (just how I like it) and pepper steak was soft and well-seasoned, though a couple pieces had cartilage. Fries came with it, but sweet plantains would've been a better fit. Rice needed a touch more salt, and fries were soft rather than crispy, though they tasted fine. * Pork fried rice with pork chops: Pork was soft, juicy, and pleasantly large. Well-cooked overall, though a little adobo, salt, or pepper would've elevated it. * Garlic tostones: Slightly soft but flavorful. * Fried chicken: Crispy without being overdone--the crunch was perfect, though could've used a pinch of salt. Portion sizes are generous. Two people could easily share one pork fried rice with pork chops. Drinks: The specialty drinks came from fountain dispensers, like a classic cuchifrito spot, and were cold and flavorful. I was especially pleased to see a fountain Acerola drink--a rare find I haven't even seen at the Cuchifrito back home. Prices were a bit high ($8 small, $10 large), but I'd still get them again, especially the passionfruit. I LOVE PARCHA! Service was consistently friendly. The employee who took my dessert order even complimented my handbag, and everyone behind the counter was sweet--eye contact always met with an immediate smile. Everything looked well organized and well-stocked, and all employees were well-groomed and clean. When we walked out, by the time we got to our car right in front, we could see them already cleaning the tables--talk about staying on top of things! And let me be clear--when I say clean, I mean abuela-and-all-the-Titi's-scrubbing-with-the-hose clean. The kind of clean we do back home. Would I go back? Definitely! The pepper steak was flavorful, and I'd love more. Next time, I want to try the Mongolian beef and grab another round of fried chicken. Maybe not too often--the drive is an hour and 15 minutes--but it's absolutely worth it for a taste of authentic Puerto Rican-Chinese flavors.

The place looked clean upon arrival. There was plenty of parking, but the entrance was a bit…read moreconfusing as it seemed like there were many people at the counter, but in reality there was only one person taking orders. The food was good, though the meat was on the saltier side and the egg rolls were too greasy. I asked for no garlic in the mofongo and requested it on the side instead, but I received mofongo with garlic and even more garlic on the side. On top of that, I was charged $1.00 for the garlic that should have originally been in the mofongo Although the portions are large and can be shared, I found it to be pricey, but I guess that's Connecticut for you. One combo was $15, and the total for the meal came to $55. Egg rolls were almost $5 each, and it was $1 extra for mayo ketchup. Because of the distance, I wouldn't go again unless I'm already in the area, but I would still recommend giving it a try.

I was excited that they had fried tofu to pick from I got a bunch of veggies and they had sauces that were labeled vegan or vegetarian. My husband was able to get a bunch of seafood that he loves.. You can request white rice to go with it, but there's also noodles in things that you could add. It came with dessert as well. The buffet was pretty big. The cook was wonderful and helpful. When I asked if he was able to separate my food from other people's food cooking, he had clean spatulas and put these dividers so they didn't mix. There are several different proteins, carbs, veggies, as well as a variety of sauces to choose from. I personally only went up two because the food was extremely filling but definitely worth the $20. Once you grab all your food you head to the circle grill and stand in front of a number and wait and watch for your food to be done. The seating area is nice and very similar to most Chinese buffets in the area so there isn't much to expect from there. Overall a great experience!
