Always great sushi! The best in the area. We mostly order takeout although there is a small dining area.

I was so surprised by Sushi Q. I've passed it many a time, never been that impressed since its street parking and next to a garage (the other side a small brook). But then I went in for dinner, and it's really pretty. They have a bar complete with waving cat and tasteful decor. They even have a second room (I thought that would be too small from the outside) with tables, booths, and art on the walls. The hostess was very nice and let me sit where I wanted, gave her opinion on the menu when I clearly needed guidance, and balanced the steady flow of people for pick up. The food was very good and VERY filling. The shrimp tempura appetizer also came with assorted vegetables - as a society, we don't fry broccoli enough. That was the unexpected star! read more

Only have done takeout from here. The teriyaki beef was very good, as was the beef negimaki. The sushi is decent, nothing special. Just your typical Sushi rolls. The service is always fast and friendly enough. The parking is annoying depending on the time of day. read more

12.25.21 This isn't one of my better sushi runs and it doesn't end up near the top of my list either. It was just ok. They're adhering to the covid protocols well by being all buttoned up with plastic. I felt like the person in the plastic bubble when I went in the first time. They were all sealed off from the guests with only a small opening in the plastic to receive your food and payment. There isn't any inside dining when I was there. It was all pick up to go only. They were very nice and kind. The place looked clean. The parking isn't that great either. It's right there in front of the restaurant right along the main road which is a tight squeeze along the shoulder. For a filler it might do the trick once in a blue moon but not for a regular stopping spot. I can't recommended it for a regular go to spot. read more

I haven't been here since before COVID but I am really glad that I rediscovered this place. After a few bad Sushi experiences at other places, I was not sure if I wanted to go for sushi again but my family wanted it and I was ok with it. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The staff was really friendly and attentive. We decided to get the Maki B platter which consisted of 8 regular rolls and 2 special rolls. We chose the following rolls with our platter; Healthy Roll, Crazy spider roll, Philly Roll, Sweet potato roll, Boston roll, Eel avocado roll, Futo Maki, Shrimp avocado, Crab meat cream cheese & White fish tempura. There were plenty of other rolls on their menu to choose from if these don't appeal to you. All of the ingredients were really fresh and the flavor of all the rolls were excellent! So I'm just a weekend visitor to Plymouth every now and again and coming from Long Island where there is sushi on every corner I was skeptical especially seeing how vanilla the town is LOL. Their menu was pretty extensive and they do the typical sushi lunch special. We got dumplings and sushi and we were both really happy with it. The sushi was for sure very fresh and also presented really nice. One odd thing about this spot is that it's BYOB. They don't serve saki or any type of booze so your on your own for that one. The star I docked was a few cumulative things. The first thing we had a hard time figuring out was the parking. There is no lot it seems like. Just street parking. The restaurant itself is really bland and there was no music or anything playing so the atmosphere is just like......bland. The fact that they have no liquor license is kind of annoying too. The food was 10/10 though and I will for sure come back here! read more

I was glad to see sushi in Thomaston. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review is the parking situation. Maybe it is because they are so new, but it took 15 minutes to find a parking spot. The Sushi was quite good. We got a 3 roll combo and a Specialty Roll, the TNT. All four were very tasty and came with salads and the combo came with a soup. More than enough food for a couple. The salad dressing was your usual fruited ginger, but a little thicker than I usually see, which is good in my book. I will be back to fight the crowds again soon. read more

I eat lunch here almost every other day I keep it simple with a 2 roll combo and I always get the salad. I've tried almost every roll minus salmon just not a fan! Sushi Q is a perfect spot for all the local office workers. They have online ordering and the lunch combos are affordable for anyone. While the pricing is low they do not skimp on quality , I would compare their sushi to some more expensive rolls I've had in the area, in some ways a lot better. Had the teriyaki grilled salmon...What a disappointment...It was so dry it actually looked as if it had a skin on top...To make matters worse it was topped with a teriyaki glaze with a maple syrup consistency...would have been great on pancakes... Been here before food was good but this last time the vegetables tasted like they were going bad. The servers stared at us the entire meal and was very uncomfortable. I think if we give it another chance it will be takeout and not an uncomfortable dining in stare down. read more
