Awesome friendly service with a great view. We ate delicious hamburgers and fries on the patio as we watched the boaters on a lazy Sunday afternoon!

So the whole idea was to spend some time in Lake Medina. Turns out it's the most private lake ever. Correct me if I'm wrong, there is no public access to the lake other than through the Bandera State Park. So we went to the park (got there around 2 PM on Labor Day Weekend) only to find it at maximal occupancy already. We finally found this tiny restaurant that's directly facing the lake. Tried their grilled cheese and fries. Really bad, especially the fries. So go here for the view if you don't get park entry!

We've come to Medina Lake many times and never really knew this place was here. We docked our boat right outside their place and walked right up. They have a very nice patio and open, roomy area inside where you order. We got a cheeseburger with homemade fries to share and a soda and beer. Total came out to $15 (including Tip), we were not over charged-as another review states. Burger was good and fries were very good and everyone that work there are great! We would suggest putting a fan or 3 out on the patio as the breeze doesn't pass through that side of the building and perhaps a new sign facing the lake for passerbyers to see. We will be back! Note: They are closed from October to April

Highly recommend the burgers and fries! Tastes even better after a long day at the lake.

A few friends and I were looking for a nearby lake where we could fish, take our pets and do a cookout. After some research and reading a lot of reviews on Yelp and other websites, we decided to visit Medina Lake. I noticed a few people mentioned it was "closed", but I believe that is why because they were trying to enter the lake through the south entrance of the lake which is managed by homeowners. Here are my recommendations for everyone visiting the lake: - This lake is first come first serve. I highly recommend getting early so you can grab a nice spot near the water. - There is NO shade whatsoever, so I highly recommend everyone to bring a tent (or two) so you can comfortably enjoying your time there. - The water was super clear and shallow, so it's perfect for children and pets. Make sure to bring your swimsuit and cool off at the lake. - There are a few grills near the bathroom area, but if you have a portable grill just bring it. - Fishing was not the best at this lake. I think Lake Medina is more of a chill and enjoy the water kinda lake. One of my friends was really looking forward doing some fishing, but he was kinda disappointed. Overall I think this lake is a nice (and affordable) option to do something out of the city.

Tour guide was informative and funny. I grabbed a slice of pizza thinking I had plenty time they had boarded already and waited on me. Thanks so much!! I'm talking grown adults acting like unsupervised 8-year-olds. Drinks flying, people ducking, one girl fighting for her dignity like her top came off ... and I'm pretty sure we came within inches of flipping that boat into the San Antonio River Walk. Meanwhile, the captain's just cruising along like, "This is fine. This is my Tuesday." Daytime? Beautiful, classy, postcard stuff. Nighttime? Turns into a floating bar fight with better lighting and a tour guide doing stand-up. End result: I came for a relaxing boat ride... Left feeling like I survived a low-speed aquatic bar brawl in one of the best spots in Texas.
