We started with oysters then ordered option B for the large platter, we ordered a margarita, a pina colada, and a side of fries. Everything was perfect! We had fun eating with gloves and bibs. Our waitress was so sweet and had a wonderful personality. She made the whole experience a memorable one. The only negative is that the restaurant did not have horseradish for the oysters. 11/17/23 yep another great experience here! Genesis was my server, very sweet and attentive! I wish I lived closer to this place I would eat here all the time. I scored big with the Shrimp po boy sandwich. This shrimp tastes like you're at the shore- the shrimp are huge, succulent and savory!! I love the zippy sauce but I requested it on the side this time because the last time it was almost too hot to handle. It was a great place to go after my marathon shopping trip at beautiful Gabes and Ross. Don't pass this place by! I was there earlier today and I ordered 2 pounds of green mussels and fried shirmp. I got it to-go as this is a place I enjoy, but I live 1.5 hours from there. Sinice I was driving by I stopped. I even waited 30 mins from 11:30 to 12 for them to open. I ordered my food, paid and was on my way. Once I got home I realized the server gave me clams instead of what I ordered. So my boyfriend and I went to Red Crab the other night. (We have been there before and it's always been fantastic with the best staff.) We arrived an hour and a half before they closed, which we are usually done within an hour so we didn't think anything of it. We got seated right away and got our drinks. Then our server came to take our order but the entire time she was talking to her coworkers and asked us multiple times to repeat what we wanted. As we were ordering a table was sat next to us. They got their food, ate, and left before we got our food. She then continued to mop with very strong chemicals. Right next to us and everyone else eating. It gave me such a bad headache I was debating on leaving. Not to mention she was touching the end of the mop and I watched her go right into the kitchen to get our food. After a while our food came out and she left it all in the bags and didn't light it on fire. I know it doesn't seem that big of a deal but that is part of the experience. So we had to dump the bags and ended up spilling a lot of the sauce. Also when she dropped our food off she was on her phone instead of putting the plates down! We asked her for refills and I watched her talk to her coworkers and write on a white board instead of bringing back our drinks. We were almost done by the time we got a refill on cokes. Also our food was cold!!!What a joke. We then had to wait an extra 20 minutes for her to check on us for boxes and the check. She sat at the bar talking to all of her coworkers and counting her money instead of caring about her table. Side note all the servers were fighting about who would be taking the tables that came in "late". Very unprofessional and honestly I don't know if I will be back. I am a server and I know we all have bad days and I will always give benefit of the doubt but this was completely unacceptable. We were her only table and to be completely ignored and pushed to the side was extremely rude. I called the manager and he told me I need to go back and they will give me 20% off next time. I appreciate it, but paying $120 I would have liked to have a very welcoming and fun experience. read more

Last evening following an afternoon of shopping, we decided to try Red Crab Juicy Seafood for dinner. When we arrived, the place was packed, and we were told it would be a 30 minuet wait. We decided to wait. Ten minuets later we had a table...That was good! I was skeptical if I was going to enjoy this dining experience after hearing the Rap, Oldskool Party Music and observing the clientele. Our server Wilman was very polite and accommodating knowing that this was our first time at Red Crab Juicy Seafood. After seeing the menu again I was skeptical if I would enjoy the food and experience. After Wilman explained how to order off the menu I understood that each meal was a blend of a Louisiana Po Boy experience. After ordering our meal, which included "you peal" shrimp and green mussels (with Juicy special sauce) and Charlene's meal with "you peal" shrimp and clams (with mild spicy garlic butter sauce) it was presented in a clear plastic bag as it was served. The clear plastic bag was then opened to expose our meal...I have to say it was delicious! Both Charlene and I enjoyed our seafood. The food was good for what it was. I had the lobster bisque which was real good. The disappointment came when I got my catfish platter with onion rings. They gave 4 pieces the size of a quarter and then hid them within the onion rings. The highlight was the chicken wings which is why there getting two stars instead of one. For what I paid it was not worth it. The service was fairly decent it was pretty busy so I won't hold that against them. I liked this seafood restaurant a lot. For the area, it's excellent because a lot of the restaurants in the area lack flavor but this one did not disappoint. Upon entering the restaurant, they were doing temperature check which was a good thing because they don't offer outdoor seating. They tried to do seating 6 feet apart. All staff had on masks. First time eating here and the server promptly explained the menu. I ordered a build your own boil with snow crab, shrimp and sausage in the juicy special sauce which is a mixture of lemon pepper, Garlic butter and cajun sauce . My boyfriend ordered the snow crab boil in cajun sauce. The food came out very quickly after we ordered. They served the seafood in bags so the food could really marinate in the sauce. The food was fabulous and certainly plentiful. We left the restaurant before it started to get really crowded. I recommend getting to the restaurant earlier to avoid the crowds. read more

When we got here, there was a small hang up with who was serving us but (I wish I could remember her nTook care of that and we ended up with Danielle! She is a top-notch server and her recommendations were spot on. We got the calamari and Cajun fries to start. The calamari was very good and the fries were crispy and hot. If I didn't know it I would've thought we were near the coast of something! The store front is clean and inviting and it smells AMAZING !!! Even before you hit the dining room!!! They have cool fishes & nets hanging off the wall & an awesome shark hanging from the ceiling !! The tables are booth style and farm style - laid out with a simple paper tablecloth easy for clean up and soaking up the butter that you will spill everywhere !!! We stopped there for lunch on Thursday, 10/17/19. I asked for mineral water. Not available. Sparkling water? No. Bottled water? No, sorry. They have a variety of soft drinks or Allentown tap water. The restaurant advertises a full bar and has photos of a variety of drinks on the menu but not in house. No wine, no liquor, just beer. The online menu for this location lists oyster Po Boys. Not available. As the manager explained it, the online menu is generic and covers all restaurants within the chain but not all offer the same menu items. We ordered fried oysters and a fried shrimp basket. Service was very slow given the few tables which were occupied. While the seafood smelled fresh the breading was far too heavy and was so strongly flavored that it obscured the taste of the seafood. This place is definitely not ready for the public yet. Mangement was really rude, I asked if my husband's fried oysters could be put on the side instead of on top of the fries because I'm allergic and wanted to share. We ordered a calamari app and 1/2 lb each of blue crabs and black mussels, the former no spice and the latter mild spice. Only problem, and the reason for taking away one star, was we did not get our corn/ potato with our entrees. Everything we were served was delicious and plentiful. Enough for me and my better half.
