You don't do what is asked such as an open house and to boot, your wording on property is less than what is acceptable

I first met Red Hilton from Red Door Real Estate at our First Time Home Buyers class in mid-May of last year. Red was one of the people there to teach the class. Red's knowledge and experience as a Real Estate Broker, as well as her personality and sense of humor, made her stand out to me as one of the best people presenting during our class (along with another presenter, John Allard who was also our mortgage lender). Unfortunately we had already reached out to work with another Real Estate Broker before taking our class. Our original broker was actually a full time lawyer who "provided Real Estate services on the South Shore for his friend"; he had shown us a couple properties and met with us a few times, but we quickly realized that we may not have been getting the full attention that we needed and, or wanted as first time home buyers. We reached out to Red to ask her if she was available to help us with our search and we told her that we were thinking of switching from our original Real Estate agent. Red respond to us almost immediately, letting us know that she would love to work with us. We 'broke up' with our original agent, letting him down easy by telling him that 'it wasn't him, it was us' (it was him!) and emailed Red to let her know that we were ready for a new relationship. Red set up time to come over to our house that week, spending nearly 3 hours on a Friday night finding out what it was that we were looking for and how she could help. The next morning we were set up with MLS listings and we were already requesting showings. Red took us out for nearly 5 hours that Sunday to see houses. She explained what it is that we should be look for in a house (you mean it's more than just granite counter tops and large bedrooms?! Weird) and explained to us things that we should avoid. Red answered each one of our questions, no matter how dumb they sounded. This is where Red excels so much!!! Her knowledge on things is ridiculous; I swear she was an architect, general contractor, home inspector, and interior designer all in one in a past lifetime. After seeing a bunch of homes with Red that weren't for us (and I mean a bunch, 50-75+), we opened up our search a little more and found a great place in a decent neighborhood. After getting almost to the finish line on that home (legit 1 week prior to closing, everything had been done), we ran into a snagfu and the deal was lost forever. Red maintained a positive attitude, letting us know that everything happens for a reason and "our home will come!" (one of the many 'Red-isms' that add to Red's great character). We could have sat in the corner and pouted over not getting that house but instead we hit the streets with Red once again. After a couple more weeks of looking, we found "our home" in a great neighborhood in South Weymouth. After the dealings that we went through with the first house we attempted to buy, Red assured us that we would aggressively proceed with caution when it came to dotting our i's and crossing our t's this time around. Red helped us along every step of the way. She dealt with issues with our loan officer (there were many), the inspection and repairs, as well as dealing with the seller's agent and the crazy sellers themselves. After what seemed like forever and a day (it really wasn't, but anyone who has bought a house knows what I'm talking about), we finally closed on our house. WE WERE FIRST TIME HOME OWNERS!! There aren't enough words to describe how great Red Hilton of Red Door Real Estate is!! She has a great personality, knows her profession in and out, is always available (even at 2am when clearly we both were sitting up, awake and thinking about houses). If you are considering buying a house or just thinking about it, I couldn't recommend Red enough. She will make finding "your home" a fun experience that you will enjoy. Who's fun?! read more

My wife and I just purchased our first condo with the help of Christos from Red Door Real Estate, and we were blown away by his knowledge, flexibility, and helpfulness. It took us a long time to find the right place for us -- six months and many, many condo viewings -- but Christos was incredibly patient with us through the search and offered his own honest reactions to the places we were looking at. He never tried to push us into a place or into making a decision, and he was very forthright when he saw something he didn't like in a place or that worried him. As first time homebuyers, my wife and I needed an agent that could guide us by the hand through every step and was willing to answer all our questions. Through the entire process, Christos was incredibly responsive to any of our questions or needs. He truly went above and beyond to help us; he answered emails and texts from me at all hours, and after we had a difficult time with the mortgage lender recommended by our bank, Christos was able to recommend another lender that was much more responsive and easy for us first-timers to work with. Christos's advice was welcome and useful, and he was always there to help when needed. At the end of the day, we just finished moving into our brand new place, and it's *far* better than anything we had hoped to find within our budget at the beginning of the process. As a first time homebuyer, I had a lot of questions and concerns but she always got back to me promptly, big or small. I can not say enough positive things about Red Hilton of Red Door Real Estate. We found Red through a First Time Home Buyers course we took in Quincy. We had a negative experience with our first realtor and we remembered Red when we started looking elsewhere. When we called Red, she immediately set a time to come see us in our apartment and talk about what we were looking for (she even put up with our dogs). The next day we immediately set out seeing homes. When I tell you she must have taken us to see 50+ homes, I'm not exaggerating. Red never seemed annoyed or like we were wasting her time. She also seems to be available 24 hours a day. I've never seen someone so dedicated to their clients before. When it came time to buying our current home, Red helped us navigate through everything possible. She dealt with issues with our loan officer (he gets 1 star..), inspection, anything you can think of. It meant quite a lot to me since this was my first home purchase and I was quite seriously terrified. She talked me off the ledge a few times. On top of everything, she has a great personality and made the process fun and she really knows her stuff. I don't think i would have lasted through this process with anyone besides her. Knowing nothing about Real Estate we had questions just about every day for her and she always took the time to respond in depth and was careful to make sure we understood fully each step. Sarah was my saving grace. After being to four other realty companies, Red Door Realty was my last option. I walked in hoping to speak to someone about finding an apartment to rent. Sarah was glad to help from the minute I walked in! Which was unlike the experiences I had at with the four other businesses. My husband and I went to an open house to a listing we were interested in and we spoke with Christos Drovatzikas and told him we wanted to put in an offer on the home. From the time we submitted our offer to the time we closed on our home Christos went above and beyond. He always let us know what was going on and any questions we had were always answered. If you are a veteran in buying a house and don't need any support or guidance, where you only need someone to push papers then I would suggest Red Hilton to be your agent. I was a first time buyer and was given Reds name by the bank. When I first met with Red I was impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm for helping me find my first home. I was very open about needing assistance through this process, being a first time buyer, and she seemed to be willing to help me. She quickly got me set up into looking at homes, and needless to say got involved with a short sale. I understood this was a long process, however around 5 months of waiting for the bank (and not getting any answers) I informed Red that I was starting to look at other homes. Red quickly got short with me and made this almost impossible. I was told over and over again that I "don't understand the short sale process" and "should never have gotten involved with a short sale if you're not willing to do the process of a short sale". After many arguments of wanting to see other houses, and being told I'm not legally allowed to see any other houses, I called my attorney where he informed me that my drop date (where I was legally allowed to walk away from this sale) was two months prior to this and I had every right to look at other homes. After this, Red hesitantly opened up to the idea of looking at other homes. While searching other houses, the original sale was accepted and we continued with that sale. We were about a week away from the closing date where I got an email from Red stating that I need to sign this form and send it back. When I asked what it was, she told me it was a modified PNS. I had asked what had changed on the PNS where she explained to me that the 5K concession was removed. She then stated this was changed back when we first started this process (at this point 8 months prior) and we had known this all along. I explained to her that this was never the case and that the 5K concession was always part of the deal. Red began an argument and was very persistent that we knew about this all along. I looked back in all of my emails, conversations and signed documents and the 5K was always listed. Red called me the next morning with a list of excuses as to why this was overseen (she was on vacation and handed the case to my attorney at the time, the other agent had personal issues, there were emails between agents about this but never was settled...and so on). I explained to her that I was upset about all this and that I felt like this was an unfair situation. Red instantly began yelling at me where she again told me how I just don't understand this process and that I was, "playing the victim". I instantly lost all respect for this woman and realized she had her own interest in mind through this entire process. She was never invested in this sale, and seemed uninterested the entire time. I understand sales change with short sales (no matter how many times she used the excuse of me just not knowing the process), it was more frustration that Red didn't know any details of my sale and turned it around on me. She is hot tempered, insulting and completely unprofessional and I will not be using her in the future nor I will be suggesting her to any family or friends...or anyone in that matter. read more

I recently worked with Christos Drovatzikas to find a rental in Quincy. Christos went above and beyond our expectations to find exactly what we were looking for. After having worked with several other agents in the area and dealt with such unprofessionalism from them, we were so excited to find someone as knowledgable, friendly, and polite as Christos.
