The main building was empty except for a couple of employees selling tickets. I thought it could definitely use a refresh but we were not there for the lodge. We rode up 2 lifts to reach the top of Whitefish Mountain. There are two peaks you can take lifts up and we went to the higher peak for one if the longer hikes. Both lifts were easy to get on, getting off was a little sketchy as we had to quickly jump off and move several steps forward to avoid being hit by the lift. Thank goodness for the lift operator assisting people off the lift! I'm sure it's much easier to exit when skiing. The ride up was great. Such beautiful views! There is a small bar/restaurant at the top with amazing patio views and a restroom. We hiked down the Danny On Trail From the top. There are plenty of trail Markers so you cannot get lost. We did see a sign warning us of bear activity while hiking but we never actually saw any animal activity, not even a deer. A majority of the trail had beautiful views of Whitefish Lake. The lower part of the hiking trail was covered with dozens of people picking huckleberries so you just had to navigate around those groups. The hike took approximately 3 hours to reach the Alpine Slide area. You could ride the slide down or jump on the ski lift to go down. Whichever you purchased tickets to do. There are is also a separate trail for mountain bikers but we didn't cross those trails until closer to the Alpine slide area. We purchased tickets for the Alpine Slide so we jumped in line which went quickly. There are two slides to choose from. One slide is "fast" and the other is slower and more scenic. We chose the scenic as it was our first time on the slide. You can also choose the speed as you navigate down the slide. The slide drops you right off at the bottom of the resort so you can walk directly to the parking lot. I would definitely recommend the hiking and Alpine slide. It was very scenic and a wonderful experience.

The only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because they have absolutely NO SECURITY CAMERAS at the ski racks. I went inside to buy some pictures that this ski resort took of my wife and I and 10min later I came outside and my skis were stolen! Be careful! The ski resort said they could pull the security footage and after they made me wait 40min they said they actually didn't have cameras pointing to the ski racks so there was nothing they could do! Ridiculous. My rental skis were stolen and they did nothing to try and find who did it. They should 100% have security cameras pointing to the ski racks!

I had read some less than enthusiastic reviews about not being able to hear the captain over the microphone. Which if you DO NOT sit over the engine, you hear just fine if you want. It was a lovely excursion with the right amount of trivia sprinkled in on occasion. The staff was pleasant. The views and the 'big sky' from the water were OUTSTANDING. The price was more than reasonable for an almost two hour tour. It really was a highlight of my stay in Lakeside. Thank you!!!

I started getting wind burn on my face and he took off his buff and let me borrow it for the entire 3 hours. He took the time to take pictures of us, talk to us about food/bars, was seriously accommodating to us and let us have a lot of fun. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time and we had 0 hiccups or accidents while out there. My toes were super cold by the 2nd hour and when we were done I went and sat in the car to warm them up. He took the time to come and ask my husband if I was okay and if I needed emergency warmers for my feet Even on the trails we passed the slower people and the tour guide didn't mind taking a joy ride. Not only are the people amazing, but the views are to die for! I so recommend this company, also amazing service by the lovely ladies in the office too, and the super cute pups We're here on our honeymoon and they really made us feel welcomed and not like tourists. The snowmobiles were all in great shape and our tour guides Brett and Kelsey were so patient and kind! They really made this trip memorable for all of us, including our kids. The contents were thick, gummed up, extremely difficult to squeeze out, and the epoxy never cured, making it completely unusable. When I brought it back, I was told they couldn't accept a return because the package had been opened. That's exactly the problem--there was no way to know the product was defective without opening it and attempting to use it. A defective product can't be identified while it's still sealed. What was most disappointing wasn't just the defective epoxy, but the response. No refund was offered, no exchange was offered, and there was no attempt to stand behind the product they sold. I understand stores need return policies, but those policies shouldn't be used to avoid responsibility for selling defective merchandise. I expected much better customer service from a local marine supplier. I always try to buy Local when I can and this Customer Service sent me to the Internet.

The man parks boats smoother than I park a shopping cart. Honestly, if my life ever depends on precision, I'm calling Jesse before I call 911. The boats? Gorgeous. Like, "don't take me home, I live here now" gorgeous. The lake? Basically a giant mood booster served cold with a side of sunshine. And the views? Unreal. If your jaw doesn't drop, you should probably check your pulse. Navigation and info are laid out so clearly, even I couldn't screw it up, and trust me, if there's a wrong turn to make, I'll make it. Not here though. Here, it's smooth sailing (literally). I'll absolutely be back. Probably too often. Probably with way too much sunscreen. Ski lessons for the kids have been easy and convenient and they learn a lot. On one particularly cold day, they took a break at 1 hour in to buy the kids hot chocolate. Very cool. They're people who clearly love working with kids. In the lodge-There's also plenty of room for a non-skier to hang out and read by the fire, too. The drive up here is gorgeous too.
