You get behind the scenes tour of where you stop. We went to the new Sun Rift Brewery in Kalispell. Super cool new Brewery with a great atmosphere. Our second stop was Brass Tap. They have over 30 local beers on Tap and the last was Whitefish Handcrafted Spirits. Tom the distiller gave a great tour of the distillery. You get to taste at each stop or a cocktail/beer. The entire trip was about 4.5 hours but we met great people. The owners were super nice people and did a great job. I highly recommend you take a tour.

Had all the equipment we needed to stay warm on a chilly day with scattered showers. Taught us everything we needed to know to navigate the waters safely. Provided some great shopping, dining, and hiking recommendations. And all the tour guides were lowkey comedians who should consider riffing some of their jokes off at a comedy club's open mic night. Ice capped peaks as far as the eye can see, some glaciers, lakes a waterfalls can be viewed. Easily one of the top helicopter rides we've been on. The reservation process is a bit tricky and played by ear. You get an initial confirmation then a second confirmation the night before. We were able to book the day before and they were very accommodating. The weather is highly variable in Glacier Park and understandably they may have to cancel depending on the weather. However it worked out for us.

Our pilot was amazing, knowledgeable, and didn't take risks (which I appreciated!). We did the one hour tour, I think the half hour would be way too short. We were so happy to see the glaciers, waterfalls and other sights you just cannot get to in the park. We had no problems with our reservation, or the directions for getting there. If the weather is bad, they will cancel for safety reasons, so we were blessed with beautiful weather. A must do.

Then it started raining. Then it hailed!!! Karl did say this part of the park is more of a rainforest so that explains why it rained. I wish we'd had done these tours in some of the other parks but now we know for the future. This is a great way to see part of the park without driving or hiking.

I started getting wind burn on my face and he took off his buff and let me borrow it for the entire 3 hours. He took the time to take pictures of us, talk to us about food/bars, was seriously accommodating to us and let us have a lot of fun. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time and we had 0 hiccups or accidents while out there. My toes were super cold by the 2nd hour and when we were done I went and sat in the car to warm them up. He took the time to come and ask my husband if I was okay and if I needed emergency warmers for my feet Even on the trails we passed the slower people and the tour guide didn't mind taking a joy ride. Not only are the people amazing, but the views are to die for!
