They as well offer high speed WiFi, free drinks & snacks at the welcome center along with free printer service. Oh and did I mention the free bike wash area, a garden you can pick fresh items from and a nice dog park! The only thing I would truly add would be a wash house to do laundry. I think that would make them even more appealing. But, if not this place is still a great spot to park for a day or a week like us. Highly recommended.

Initially, we were trying to get into Davidson River campground, but of course the reservations were all booked and we couldn't find a spot. Instead, we looked in the area online and found this place, and I'm glad we did. The location is convenient to all of Brevard and the Pisgah forest, a quick 5 minute drive from anywhere in town. We stayed on site 6, which was in the far corner and it was awesome. There was a grassy area right behind which the kids played on and enjoyed, and there were really thoughtful amenities throughout the campground including a bike maintenance station, a welcome center with complimentary goodies, a nice dog park and community firepit and garden. I think all the sites are full hookup, which was a nice convenience compared to the other option. We also had super strong WiFi in the camper. I was able to work and have video calls with not a single issue. It was the best Wifi we have ever had at a campground. When we arrived, the site host stopped by to say hi and introduce herself. We also had some small maintenance to do on our camper, which she made sure she gave us all the information for service centers in the area, and offered to see if they had any tools we may be missing. This is certainly a super thoughtful and amazing place, surely worth a stop next time you're wanting to visit Brevard!

I was up at Pinnacle this past weekend for their annual Open House and Grand Revealing of their new Dining Hall. It was so breath taking to see all the great new improvements. I arrived and the staff welcomed me and provided some nice refreshments after driving. I was then able to walk the property again (had been around 7 years since I was last there) and was just amazed. The camp has a long great history and several famous historical people are on their alumni roster including the late General William Westmoreland. Consider checking out camp for your kids. It's a life changing event where they make real friends for life and not on a computer screen. The camp is an "unplugged" camp for the campers, so kids, leave your electronics at home and time to learn real friendships. I know I did and I was so thrilled to see a childhood friend this past weekend that I hadn't seen in 30+ years.

There are many opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, backpacking, water sports, as well as traditional camp activities. Lots of time for creativity, singing, campfires, and good old-fashioned FUN! The food has been consistently another thing our boys rave about - good variety, healthy options, ample portions, and always fresh - served with a smile by Richard and his crew. No electronics; and no one minds, at all! We have seen such growth and confidence and increased love of the outdoors in both our sons as a result of their wonderful experiences at both Camp Pinnacle and their adventure / outdoor experience travel camp, Adventure Treks. The sense of community, shared responsibilities, and camaraderie... We've never had a moment's worry or lost a night of sleep while our kids have been at either Camp Pinnacle or backcountry with Adventure Treks.
