Price was a very reasonable $20, or $10 for persons with a NPS Senior Pass. Check-in was easy. (5/5). We arrived after-hours, and were able to find our site easily. The site itself (4/5) was very good. We particularly liked that the site was enclosed by rhododendron bushes; it must be incredible when the flowers are blooming. There was ample room for our Honda Pilot, a picnic table, fire ring, and the pad for our tent. While close to the road, you can't see the tent site from the road. The site is an easy walk to the restroom along the road (NOT an uneven path). Not a 5-star site for a few small reasons. The loop with RVs was behind us, and an RV there was running its generator, seemingly for all allowed hours. Also, previous occupants had cut a path to the adjoining site, which led to our neighbor's picnic table. As a result, there was a lack of privacy. Location of the Mount Pisgah Campground. (5/5). It's very close to a lot of interesting sites on and off the Parkway. We particularly enjoyed the drive towards to Brevard with multiple easy-access waterfalls. It's also very close to the Mt. Pisgah Inn, which has a restaurant, shop, and amazing deck with views of the mountains. Finally, this campground has hot showers! As we were driving the full Parkway, and tent camping along the way, hot showers were much appreciated! The restrooms were clean. (5/5) The campground felt safe. (5/5).

A woman in a white Toyota 4Runner followed my daughter extremely closely until my daughter pulled over and let her pass. Hours later, the same woman pulled up beside my daughter at our campsite and approached her with a very rude attitude. When my daughter recognized her as the woman who had been following her earlier, she said she was "just checking the place" because she was the owner's daughter. That may be true, but it certainly doesn't excuse the way she treated a paying guest. There are ways to check on your property without making guests feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Being the owner's daughter is not a free pass to be disrespectful!!! GREAT JOB BEAR CREEK !!

We met the new owner and she's planning to change the name and aesthetic back to a more appropriate local appalachian theme and replace all the ACs. The driveway is steep and for a second it looks like you are on a private driveway to ha home but it's fine. Nearby Saluda has an excellent bakery/ coffee place called Wakey Monkey. There is a zip line outfit next door.

The purpose of this detailed review is to prevent other guests from making a reservation on a Yonder listing based on the description only to find that the description is not accurate. The listing is described as follows: "Peaceful and tucked in the woods-yet minutes to I-40 for easy day trips" "This home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community" It also states it is a "relaxing setting" The main issue: Even though it takes about 10 minutes to get to the listing from the highway (which involves steep/gravel roads), there is constant, very loud noise from the highway that can be heard on the back porch (which has the view of the mountains), and in the entire residence if the windows are open. This was quite unexpected based on the listing description. After I had completed the booking request, Yonder sent a message to me with driving instructions and suggested printing out the instructions in case GPS failed to work on the way up. The written list of directions that were provided from Yonder made it appear the listing was "tucked into the woods". Yonder has continued to deny my refund request for 6 nights and has stated they will refund me for 2 nights due to them being booked by another guest. Yonder has admitted there is constant highway noise as evidenced by their edited listing description, yet they continue to tell me that their listing was accurately described at the time I booked the listing. I contacted Airbnb to discuss my concerns about the listing and they stated they couldn't do anything because of the house rules: 6. Cancellations/Changes. The cancellation policy listed on Airbnb at the time of booking will apply. Your booking ‒ and this Agreement ‒ pertains solely to this specific Property. If a member of your party has particular needs ‒ such as allergies or a medical condition ‒ for which this Property is ill-suited, Yonder will attempt to answer and address those concerns (preferably ahead of booking the Property), but such particular needs do not serve as a basis to seek a refund in the event you elect to vacate the property. This time our rig was tail light and due to the slight incline of the site made for rain water to flow we had a hard time leveling the front so I went back to the office to request a different site and explained that the reason was our rig and not the site itself to which the owners obliged with a smile, not only that but he offered me his wooden blocks that in the end were the perfect solution. There is an stigma about permanent people but we found that us being friendly, waving and smiling to all they all are friendly and respond well, on the contrary the only indifferent person was a temporary young lady that when greeted twice looked the other way but you can't expect everyone to be in a good mood all the time. Quiet place, close to Forest City where we went to church on Sunday and also very close to Lake Lure to check the touristy attractions that lure ( pun intended ) people in. Don't know about bathhouse because we never use since our rig is self contained Will comeback to vacay and explore the region

We came at the end of July and thought the bugs would be bad being right here on the water, but that was not the case. The accommodations were great. The vibe was retro and family-oriented. Great place to hang your hat and come back to after a day of hiking and sight-seeing. The staff were personable, fun, and extremely helpful with input on what local sights and activities there were nearby. I ended up having a far better time than I would've had camping! Staff is observing COVID precautions while still maintaining a great posture with customers. 10/10 recommend this motel and all the area has to offer, COVID or no COVID.
