My husband didn't put the turkey wings in the oven when he was supposed to so we had no dinner. I told him to put on something pretty because I was taking him out instead. I gave him 2 choices we both opted for the cheddar biscuits. Parked right up front and was seated immediately. I was used to there always being a wait no matter which day of the week you went. Our waitress was nice. She was efficient and because the place was empty we felt a little rushed. She kept offering refills of my drink and it wasn't yet at the half way mark. We came for the biscuits and they came out at almost room temperature. I really wanted a hot biscuit. However, I felt with the efficiency of our waitress, if there were hot biscuits we would have had them. They don't offer a salad with your meal anymore. I didn't know. We haven't been in a while. I went to the restroom. It was clean but gave me a chance to walk through the restaurant. I have never seen it so empty. Our entrees were arriving when I got back. My husband enjoyed his shrimp. I tried to call in an order, and had a question for the manager. I have had to make my third call after talk to a person who transferred the call. Whoever the manager is or whoever is at the front of the house has not answered in three calls which is deplorable work ethic. On my third call so far I have been in the que for 10 minutes, 32 Seconds and still holding. All I needed was a question answered about Walt's Shrimp, and so far this has cost me more than 20 minute in three calls with the end result being no one answering the phone. As this relates to service you guys get a ZERO. It should be this much trouble to get someone on the phone to answer a question about your Menu and Shrimp. We waited for 40 and they said they tried to call us ok so maybe something happened but they had my correct phone number. Sit down and waited 20 minutes to have anyone come to our table. When they did acknowledge me, they said it would be 15-20 minute wait. There were literally only 10 tables seated. 90% of the restaurant was empty! I recently met friends for lunch at the Red Lobster and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. When I walked in, there was no one at the front to greet me. I ended up walking around the restaurant trying to find my friends, passing several employees along the way, and not one person stopped to ask if I needed help. That set the tone right away. When I finally found my table, my friends told me they had already ordered drinks (iced tea and water), but the waitress had disappeared. We then looked outside and saw her on her phone. When she came back in, she checked on another table and mentioned something about being short-staffed, saying one person was handling both bread and dishes. After waiting several more minutes, she finally brought bread but still no drinks that had been ordered before I even arrived. When asked about them, she admitted she hadn't made them yet. We eventually ordered food, and I asked if I could get a single salmon fillet for my 6-year-old daughter. The waitress said that would be fine, but I was surprised later to see it was $16.99 for just one piece of salmon not even a full meal. On top of the poor service, the restaurant itself was not clean. Many tables were left dirty and uncleared, even though the restaurant was not busy. The bathroom was also in poor condition and clearly had not been checked or maintained, which is concerning. Throughout the visit, our waters were never refilled, and overall service felt inattentive and disorganized. Red Lobster used to be a place you could go to celebrate special occasions. Hubby ordered the Maine lobster tail and Coconut shrimp with a baked potato. I had the crab legs, which due to all the mess and wrestling with them legs, I won't order again. The Walt's Fried shrimp was fried to perfection. Hubby's lobster tail was moist and sweet!! The coconut shrimp was very tasty per hubby. Biscuits were dry and falling apart. You pick two styles of shrimp to start your meal off with one side and warm cheddar bay biscuits. You have about five or six choices of the type of shrimp you want, from shrimp, scampi, coconut, shrimp, fire, grilled shrimp, waltz favorite (batter fried shrimp), And even ashrimp fettuccine. Our food came out, hot and fresh, and more importantly, on time. The waitress was quick to check back in on us for drinks, and to see if we wanted a refill on two more shrimp skewers, which, of course we did. Don't forget that they're baked potato (which is a side option) has sea salt encrusted on the skin... Yum! This restaurant has been here for quite a while, and while it's not really been all that updated, it is nautical, so I'm not sure what else you could do. I like the atmosphere in there. I understand that rule on a busier night but not on a less crowded night. And to edit we have 75% of our party there waiting. The second thing the food was not that good. Especially for what we paid for. The menu is limited now and didn't have the a wide variety of options like they used to. Like piece your type of shrimp platter. The taste of the food was just blah or not great at all. I can't believe that you had to pay for a salad as side these days. This was my favorite place to eat lobster. This is now changed. My husband and I went in for an early dinner, around 4:15pm 2 days ago. With only maybe 8-10 tables seated, we were told that there was a 45-60 minute wait to be seated. We took over half of our meal home, just to throw away the next day. Within 2 hours of getting home, I was violently ill. I had diarrhea and was vomiting until around 5am the next day. First it was Strawberry lemonade, then Popcorn Shrimp, Also Chicken Tenders and the last thing was Romain lettuce. We went to Red Lobster over the weekend to enjoy their endless shrimp special. We got there around 4:30 p.m., and there was no wait. When we left an hour later, the place was packed, and many people were waiting to be seated. So, get there early unless you don't mind waiting. Also, they have a call-ahead seating option, which could cut down on the wait time. We were greeted by a very nice waiter named Nate. He was prompt throughout the whole dinner by refilling our drinks and bringing us more servings of endless shrimp. Our salads were served quickly, cold and crisp. Our entrees were also served quickly and hot. We ordered iced tea with lots of ice and lemons. The iced tea there is also very good. I can't have the cheddar bay biscuits because I am gluten intolerant. However, they looked and smelled divine. I would love to see Red Lobster offer a gluten-free version. Everything was delicious. The husband got cheesecake for dessert and said it was delicious (the cheesecake was a free reward on my Red Lobster phone app!). I usually tip 20%, but Nate was spectacular and earned a well-deserved 30% tip. I was so impressed by Nate that I sought out the manager to inform him of our superb service. The manager was very nice and appreciative of my doing this. My only complaint is that the women's restroom could have used some attention. Nothing horrible, it just didn't look like anyone had been in there to clean recently. All in all, it was a great experience, and I look forward to returning soon. Los Angeles visitor here. Mind blown that Red Lobster can be this good. Usually the biscuits are greasy and salty. The seafood is also salty and meh. Finally ate at a Red Lobster outside of LA and realized why this place is popular and still around. Everything was cooked correct, salt level was sensible, and it was delicious. Can't believe all chains don't taste as good as this one. It's disappointing that I will have to return to LA and probably not have red lobster for decades again. Late March: Excellent food and excellent service. What happened next was not excellent. I left my wallet behind at the table. Within 30 minutes, I realized it and called. The staff clearing the table had taken it back to the office. I came back to get it within an hour of when I originally left. I sent my son in to get from the hostess stand. He had to wait between 10 and 15 minutes for them to bring it out front. In this amount of time, someone- who was likely one of the employees-removed 5 banking cards from my wallet. This person also attempted to transfer funds from my Discover card to a Cash app account. When I spoke to Discover they gave me the times of the attempted transactions and seems like it was probably while my I was waiting to pick up my wallet! I called and spoke to the manager the next day. They didn't seem to be interested. I was told they would ask the staff who was working the previous night about it and let the general manager know. In terms of COVID precautions: masks required upon entering, blocked off tables for social distancing, staff wearing masks, hand sanitizer available. The service was quick and we got our food quickly. The food itself was good. My 3 and 5 yo loved their shrimp, and my 5 yo wanted our food too (snow crab, lobster, salmon).
