    Thai chicken salad
    Kathy G.

The first thing you will notice about this place is the smell of barbecue smoke, it wafts through the parking lot and it smells amazing. The ambiance is simple and casual. There are a few outdoor tables, a full bar and plenty of seating in the dining area. It is easily accessible for the disabled, with 2 marked parking spots and an accessible bathroom. The menu has something for almost everyone. Lots of carnivore choices and plenty of vegetarian ones, too. They have a great selection of unique healthy sides as well. This is a scratch kitchen. They offer daily specials. Today, it was trout and some type of pork. They also have soup of the day. The service was outstanding by the female bartender! She offered suggestions and my food was prepared quickly and my order was accurate. I ordered a side of roasted beets with feta. There were four large slices of beets with feta served warm. I would give it a 8/10. I ordered the Thai chicken salad. It was a bed of chopped, fresh Romaine lettuce with cubed, grilled chicken and crispy wonton strips. It is served with a Thai peanut dressing a mustard-ish dressing as well. I preferred the peanut dressing and it was really quite good. My suggestion to elevate this salad would be to add finely sliced red bell pepper strips, chopped green onion and coarsely chopped peanuts. Maybe even a slice of lime. I'm looking forward to returning here on my next visit to Belleville.

This was a sleeper hit for sure. We were looking for a quick bite and a beer after a nearby hike, and Fletcher's wasn't too far away. The Yelp reviews were pretty good, and they were open New Years Day so we popped in! We were definitely glad we did! $2.50 Stag on tap, lots of scratch made menu items, and very friendly servers. We were so hungry I forgot to snap photos of our garlic cheese bread and salsa and chips. Both were excellent, served very fresh, and the homemade salsa was delicious! We had a combo of the burger, chicken salad, and chicken fingers. All were excellent! The house-made BBQ sauce, ranch, and mustard put it over the top. We'll definitely be back. The prices are great, and we always appreciate friendly service!

I love Fletchers! It's a cozy atmosphere. The staff is always kind. A few of my favorite dishes: Ed Harley's Pasta, Feta Shrimp Salad, and the Bourbon glazed salmon. Today I tried the fresh fried pork rinds as an appetizer and they were so good! They came with two dipping sauces. My boyfriend loves the Reuben and the Thai Chicken Salad. Fletchers is always a popular choice for us when we are in Belleville.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday shortly after noon, hoping there wouldn't be a wait to get in. We were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. Our server promptly greeted us and took our drink orders. For my entrée I ordered their 16oz aged Kansas City Strip steak (medium) and for sides I chose grilled mushrooms and their broccoli. I also ordered a house salad. My steak was cooked perfectly, the mushrooms were a perfect compliment, and everything was delicious. Our server was professional, courteous, and efficient. She came by several times checking on us and refilling our drinks. I liked the layout - it was a combination of tables and booths with a rectangular bar off to the side. It was a comfortable feeling. I look forward to coming back sometime and trying one of their burgers, as they have been recognized by St Louis Magazine as one of the "Best Unsung Burger Joints". Also, you know you're in "St Louis Country" when the drink menu offers "Stag" beer on draft, ha. If you're in the area be sure to check them out!

Food was good. The buffalo fries had quite the kick to them. The vegetable pizza was very vegetably, but the crust helped in flavor change. Their alcoholic beverages were very strong and their unsweet tea was strong too, but the tea still tasted good in my eyes. The restaurant was pretty dark and the parking lot dangerously small, but other than that, no complaints here! A nice local restaurant with good service.

There are 2 Fletchers on either side of town, I love both. I call the one on the west end my winter Fletchers, because of the heated patio and the one on the east end my summer Fletchers because of the outdoor patio and walking trail. Both have the same menus and daily specials. The service is great at both, I can be a little difficult with my order sometimes and they always get it right. The wrap i had today, is not on the menu because its actually a sandwich. The salmon club on rye, I took the bacon off, added cheese and put it in a wrap instead of bread !!!! ALWAYS PERFECT!!! They also have a blackened cod option instead of the fried cod, !!!! Let me tell you, It is AWESOME!!! This restaurant is a belleville must try no matter which end you're on

The burger was very dry and the barbecue sauce was terrible. I found spit in my drink.

Husband, myself, and one of the kids joined me for dinner here. I was excited to try this place out…read moresince it reopened. ( I never had the chance to try when it was originally open) They were busy! Which I did expect as downtown belleville had a few things going on. They were so busy that sadly they were out of meatloaf and limited on some hoagie type Sandwich. I ordered the pub burger with the garlic mashed potatoes. The burger itself wasn't bad a little too salty than I'm use to. I swore I asked the waitress for the garnishes to be put on the side but they had it all on the burger. ( no big deal) the garlic mashed potatoes was a staple according to a guest that was talking to us as they left. They were good. Mine came out a little on the almost past the Luke warm stage ( I was a little bummed on that). Our oldest ordered the bone in wings buffalo flavor as a meal ( it's an appetizer) she said those were good. We also shared their French onion dip with chips. Husband had the same pub burger but he got his with steak fries. He wast thrilled that he couldn't order the burger in rare form. He too thought the burger itself was a little on the saltier aside. The prices seemed a little steep on some of the menu. ( expected on steaks and fish) I had to give them a bit of grace with all the chaos going on. Our server was kind and attentive. They didn't have much options for the festive drinks. I ordered their thin mint martini. I'd love to give them another shot in the future when it's less chaotic and they have food we want available. I will say th bar itself is cute. Reminds me of cheers. They had their front area setup with fire pits/heat lamps and tables to enjoy some hot chocolate that was only $3 for reg but if you wanted to "boozie" it up it would depend on the alcohol. They had cookies out from The cookie stroll that they offered for free. Then had a nice set up for those interested in making s'mores! Charlie's is located within historic downtown Belleville on the corner of Abend. There is only street side parking available. Keep in mind they do have breakfast or brunch too on weekends.

Parking was difficult - if…read morenot in the small lot behind the building, only a couple of on street spots, otherwise limited parking across the street in the grass. Service was not bad. Food was mid - maybe 5/10 but we were hungry. Check your food - as there was hair on our bun. Sandwich was replaced but then new bun was burnt. We did not complain because pick your battles. Due to us having a party of 11, split by 3 families, they charged us 18% gratuity, which is fine, but buyer beware - they charge 3% for using a card, which was not listed on the ticket or told to us prior to giving our server the card with ticket. Didn't find out until they ran our card and gave it back for us to sign. Otherwise we would have used cash. Overall, would likely not eat here again.
