    Lemon rice soup
    Rachel D.

I meet my family at this centralized location for lunch on Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy when we arrived about 1 pm, but we didn't have to wait long. We sat at a table in the center - it was a crowded area and it was loud due to the amount of people surrounding us. I ordered a hot turkey sandwich meal with lemon rice soup, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the veggie of the day. I did not like the lemon rice soup at all. It was really thick and didn't have much flavor. My sandwich was just alright also. It was a few pieces of thinly cut turkey on one piece of bread. Kinda odd that it wasn't an actual sandwich. The gravy had a unique but funny taste to me - I didn't care for it. The veggie of the day was corn and it definitely wasn't worth eating. You could say I wasn't happy with my meal. Three of my family members ordered the fish and chips and they seemed very pleased. One of the woman in my group used the women's restroom and the paper towel holder was empty. She told one of the waitresses who responded that someone would fill it asap. At least 30 minutes later, when another family member used the restroom it was still empty. That was poor service. Overall, this was just an average place. I probably will never go back there again since we don't live in the area.

Always good quality of fresh food from a really broad menu which features Mediterranean cuisine as well as American stand bud.

Yum! I love the Chicken Shawarma. The Egg Lemon Rice Soup was creamy, tart and the perfect temperature. The Saganaki is great too. Our service was friendly and fast. We'll be back.

    A nail!

Same family, new location in Clarkston!…read more We were long time customers of Beirut Palace in Royal Oak, and when they closed we were lost without their fantastic food. For the past 10 years or so we have tried all of the others in Rochester, Royal Oak and Troy and while they have things to like, none compared to Beirut Palace. My daughter happened to see their listing in Clarkston and called to ask if there was a connection. Yes - this is run by the kids of the original Royal Oak family, and some of the same people who worked there. The son and chef remembered us, and we remembered them. On to the food. They promised "Dad's recipes" and they were not lying. The Ghallaba, Arayes, green beans, fattoush, garlic sauce and hummus were just as we remembered. My wife has become a vegan, and had the "Super Falafel" sandwich which was gigantic, and she pronounced the best she had ever had. We were all overjoyed to discover this favorite place again. My daughter is 26, she was probably 3 or 4 the first time we had this food. It's the flavors of her childhood. Service was amazing and we enjoyed everything about it. It's a bit of a drive from us, but completely worth it. 10 stars!
