I came here to get my nails done. The place was filled with people and I asked nicely if they can please do them for me. They turned me away in disgust that they wouldn't help me! I get back in my car and I see another lady come in and they helped her! And geared her to sit on a chair and I seen them picking out what nail polish to use! I was utterly disgusted! Went in for a color change. SImple,fast and cheap....NOPE It took them 1 hour for a change and tey were NOT that busy...girls were in the corner on their phones!!! They seem like they don't even want to be there, no smiles, no chat nothing...crickets...but they were talking amongst themselevs. Then it cost me $20 for red color on my nails and French on my toes. I had been going to this place for awhile. The last time I was there I found out they were charging me $ 2.00 more because I was only getting regular manicure and pedicure. How did I found out? Regular manicure and pedicure is $ 30.00 and the last time I was there the lady who was doing my nails told me that they were charging $1.50 to pay with credit card and that was the first day that they were charging. I told that they are going to lose my business and she talked to someone and said next time bring cash. The price she charged me $ 30.00. But then I realized they were charging me $ 32.00 the last few times I was there. They never told me before about the $ 2.00 charge for the credit card. There is no sign..nothing saying they are charging a fee to pay with credit card. Never going back there. read more

$50 down the drain. Definitely not a place I would recommend. I was on vacation, and my aunt decided to treat me to a mani and pedi. The front of their door states they open at 9:30, they didn't open until 9:50. STRIKE ONE. STRIKE TWO. The lady who did my pedi was talking up/offering extra services, I did not want, even after telling her no thank you several times. My "massage" was basically her putting lotion on my legs. I also got a gel manicure, which only lasted 3 days before they started chipping away! And worse of all, I'm not sure if they were even dry because later they stained black from my hoodie! I even tried to wipe it off with alcohol but it didn't work. My usual gel manicure usually lasts about 2 weeks I was very unhappy with the service. And if we didn't end up leaving that day, I would've went back. read more

I'll accept the 1 star for the simple Fact that it looked like it would have been a nice nail salon.. Unfortunately I will never know. I called at 4pm to make an appt for 5:30. When I walked in at 5:25pm not one person acknowledged I was there.. Fine I know the routine and so I picked out my polish and sat down to wait. I get that things happen and sometimes you run late so after 10min I went on my phone and continued to wait. 30min later I had still not been acknowledged and I could see by the sea scrubs ect that they were still far from being able to take me. So I got up and returned the polish to the wall and started to leave. Only then did someone say they could put me in a chair. I declined. I know that game.. Sit in the water for the next 20min and wait. No thanks. I simple hi and explaining what was going on with time would have saved me 40min of waiting.. Or when I called, told me you were too busy! That's ok! What's not ok is wasting 40min of my time while I sat in silence wondering what was going on. read more

So I'm from out of town. I stayed at the hotel across the street from this salon. I yelped to see which salons in the area had the best reviews and this one came up kinda short. But then I saw a sign on the place saying "under new management." I gave a quick call and learned the manicures were $12 - like all the other places in the area. So since all the "best" places only had one or two reviews, I opted to give them a try. (To be fair, when I sat down, the nail tech did show me a sheet with three (3) different prices for manicures, beginning with $20. Once I told her that I called and was told $12, there was no further discussion.) I was serviced the moment I walked in the door. The place is very large and immaculately clean. Twenty (20) pedicure chairs line the walls and the manicures are done up front. I explained to the two women what I wanted and got exactly that. The young lady took her time doing my nails and was extremely meticulous. She also was very good about explaining everything if I had a question. While she worked magic on my hands, the manager explained the benefits of their new gel nail polish that lasts for at least two weeks and seems worth the $30 price tag (includes their uber deluxe manicure). When she was close to finishing, she brought out a large, hot towel to clean my fingers. (Hot towels can feel so good. I almost didn't let her take it away!) Anyway, my experience at Persimmon's was very good. The price was right, there was no wait and the service was personal and friendly. Definitely worth a shot.. And one note on pedicures - I saw one lady getting one and they did not fill the bowl until she sat down. So you do not have to worry about 'recycled' water. read more
