Made an appointment for my mom and I the following day for 10am, right when they open. Showed up at 9:55am and no one was there setting up. Waited till 10:05am and no one was there and the lights were still off. I've been coming to this nail salon for a couple of years now and I absolutely love it! Brenda does the best gel manicures and acrylics! She is so friendly and is always staying up with the current nail trends! For pedicures Nancy is amazing! I've never had a more relaxing pedicure. This used to be my favorite go-to salon but in the recent months the quality has dropped tremendously. The last two times I've been there I had to wait over 40 minutes to just get a fill. Last time I went there WITH an appointment and after 30min of waiting I lost my patience and walked out. Simply ridiculous to have to wait that long where most salons the longest I've had to wait is around 10 minutes even while they're busy! read more

Made an appt at 3pm for Chloe 2 days in advance. Showed up at 245, asked Chloe if she was running late, she said a little late, I gave her my number and said I'd be next door waiting. 345 comes around and I have yet to hear from the nail salon, so I call myself and check in. Clearly they forgot about me and didn't know what to say. They told me to come over in 10 min. When I arrived they told me Chloe was tired and that is why she's running so late, so Fawn, another nail tech was going to start on my nails and Chloe would come finish them.... well Chloe was in the chair across from me working on someone else...clearly she's not sick, or tired, she's just busy. The story gets better. They started me an hour after my scheduled appt. 20 min in to my appt Chloe's next appt shows up.. she applied the acrylic as fast as she could and let fawn finish my nails so she could take her next appt. So I scheduled my appt with Chloe, but let's be real, I got fawn for most of it. If I'm going to get a different nail tech than I scheduled with then at least see me at my regularly scheduled visit, don't make me wait an hour. If i wanted to wait an hour for a random nail tech i would just walk in. Don't get my wrong my nails look great and fawn did a great job, but my time is more valuable. read more

i work close by and me and my co worker used to go there after work, the last time i was there, it was our usual pedi and i decided to get some nails on, they over charged me and just say with the heavy accent that gel costs more..well why advertise free gel with a set? so i ended up paying 55$ for gel nails that came out crooked and broke the next day, i did NOT want to go back in there so i ripped them off and i will NEVER go back again.. read more

Reading the reviews, I thought this place would be perfect for nail designs. Once I showed up for my appointment, I had a pedi/ mani. For both I wanted one nail design, with black nails. Both ladies could not do nail designs to save their live. Overall salon was clean, they just need help on learning to do nail designs. read more

My son's girlfriend and i went to had our nail done, I had a manicure & pedicure $35. And Hailey was quotes $16. for a fill... Our bill was $72.00... When i questioned the bill, "Laura" her American name said " the nail polish & design, one heart costed $32.00...Buyer be aware, They are not honest!, This was suppossed to be a relaxing day for me.... I went here to get my fake nails taken off and when I asked for the solution they said they didn't do that (it only takes longer and there was no one else in the salon besides me...) and then they proceded to pry each nail off using another fake nail which completely destroyed my nails more than they would have been. I had asked for a mani to fix the destruction and asked for a strengthening polish under the color polish and they refused and charged extra for the strenghtening polish....I would not go back there, save your money! read more

Have been looking for a really good nail salon in my area for years - my daughter used to live in Temecula and I'd drive up there because she found a good place for our "mom and daughter" pamper-days out! She moved to Oceanside and we have been trying to find a salon locally - there certainly are plenty around! Our criteria is: 1. clean salon and chairs well maintained, (easy to tell they use cleaned instruments each time). 2. appt. met in short amount of time - don't mind a few minutes wait while chairs set up; finish up previous client; etc - we use time to check out the polishes available! 3. Cuticles - 2nd day after the manicure I expect my cuticles to look smooth and well groomed, especially if I asked for an extra treatment to remedy dry ones. Report - on day two and looking great! 4. Nail polish - expect to last at least 5 days - got a gel french tip manicure this time, should last much longer - they are very pretty and not too long! (day two and doing fine!) 5. Feet: same expectation for cuticles and nails. Report - two days of sandals or barefoot - toes look wonderful: cuticles are smooth and no stray dry skin, looking moist, heels looking smooth and moist - nails just the right length and polish done beautifully - no streaking! My daughter agrees and we will be going back to the Red Persimmon! read more

Leslie (owner) very sweet I love her she does the best eyelashes & pricing is great. They upgraded new pedi chairs. Where now it's safer & cleaner. With disposable plastic wrap's=) I am very particular where I go to get my pedicures. So I've switched back here as well as getting my lashes done for 1 year now. Chloe is also great with lashes. I called at 2:30 PM from San Diego to see if they could take me and my daughter at 3:30 PM. They told me to come in, so we did and got there right on time. After waiting 15 minutes and watching others walk in after and they told them to come back in an hour, I asked do we need to come back? Brenda responds - come back in 30 minutes. We went next door to have a bite to eat and came back - still waited another 30 minutes. They finally start our pedicures, and when it is time to get my nails done (after 3 hours), Brenda says "I'm sorry, we do not have time to do your nails - we are busy." Let me say this - I have been going there for well over a year now, and the service started out very good, lately it has been "okay" - very inconsistent quality. I get the same service each time and each time the cost is different and I normally tip them $20 each time I visit. If you are too busy when people call, just say that and schedule them for another day. Brenda asked me to come back tomorrow...absolutely not - I will never be returning to get my nails done at Red Persimmon in Oceanside. Today's experience was a terrible waste of my time to leave work early and to be sent away after sitting there for 3 hours. read more
