My experience with Red Pine Adventures Snowmobile Tours was extraordinary and an some of the most fun I have ever had. Three of us signed up for the tour and had Jim and Chat from as our guide. Jim and Chad were both excellent and made sure our trip was both safe and exciting. We started the two hour tour started by getting dialed with our own gear (helmets, boots, pants, etc) and getting familiar with the machines which consisted of riding up a long trail through a private property with in The Canoyons resort. Once we got used to the feel of the throttle and learned how to turn effectively we were off and went blasting through the fresh powder making fresh tracks of our own. We rode through went up and down the hills, through the meadow and the trees until we reached the top of the peak. Unfortunately the snow was coming down pretty good so we weren't able to catch the view, but it was pretty cool to ride while the snow was coming down. I am definitely making a point to take a snow mobile trip again when I go back to Park City, hopefully sooner than later. read more

These dudes are awesome! We went snow-mobiling with them while on a corporate retreat. So it was 10 dudes... and were all adrenalin junkies. We were worried they may not let us really unleash the beast, but we were wrong... The guides had no problem letting us get our fix. They even took us up a peak that, according to the guide, was normally off limits. For good reason, since only two of us made it to the top! Of course I WAS one of those two. One of the snowmobiles even got damaged a bit but they still were all cool as cucumbers. I feel like the guides may have got in a bit of trouble because of our group, but they got a hefty tip, and we left with our expectations surpassed. If you want a break from the slopes, then I would absolutely recommend these guys and their wicked snowmobile excursion. :) read more

The best time to go is during your break from snowboarding. It was even more perfect since we were dumped with fresh powdery snow during the week. We got to test out the untouched fields of powder. Something about driving through fluffy, white, beautiful snow makes me smile alot. Our guides were great. During the drive he would point out certain estates and explain the history of the business. They just believe in having fun and hoping everyone has a good time. We did have a few slow riders, but once we get out into the open field, we were allowed to ride anywhere within site. I even flipped my snowmobile on the side while turning in powder and one of the guides came up soon to help me get back on and right my snowmobile. They make a pit stop and you get a breathtaking view of the village and canyon. The guides were enthusiastic to take your pictures, then continue along a scenic route weaving among trees. It was just a blast for a last minute plan and if you pay cash it's only $125/rider. The snowmobile was comfortable and very well taken care of. Be sure to wear your skiing/snowboarding gear including helmet and goggles!! They provide footwear, so just wear your socks! You get to go up to 50mph. read more

You have to go here. I love snowmobiling but have gotten a little disillusioned with my past rides in other ski areas. This one was my favorite by far. The guy (David?) was super cool and didn't coddle us. He didn't micromanage us which I appreciated. While we went on some mountain trails to get to where we are going, most of the time we were let loose to explore a few regions and go as fast as we wanted. He showed us the critter footsteps and told us all about them. It was a beautiful spot on the inside of the mountain and we got to see heliskiing in action. I felt free. read more

Snow snowmobiling with Red Pine Adventures is an absolute must while you're in Park City! We went two days after Christmas for the 3 p.m. ride. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel! The entire staff was extremely friendly and informative. The 2 hour snowmobiling experience was awesome! They took time to show everyone how to use the snowmobiles. Then they gave the group 30 minutes of free time to ride and get used to riding. If anyone had any trouble at all, the staff was there to help immediately and they were extremely patient and kind when helping someone that was struggling. After your free time, you ride up the mountain to about 10,000 feet through narrow trails through the forest. At the top of the mountain, they give you another 30-45 minutes of free time to ride. It was our favorite memory of our Park City Christmas vacation. This experience is beyond worth the money. You won't regret it! read more

Awesomely fun!!!!!! Red Pine Adventures felt strangely isolated for being located right off 224 and near the Canyons ski resort. Walking distance from the bustle of parking lot of happy skiers and snowboarders yet has the quiet stillness of a Jack London winter nature scene. The whole snowmobiling tundra area was similarly an edenic snow smothered sanctuary-- it nourished my soul with that one-with-nature feeling that took me to my special place. Unsure where to turn while driving up White Pine Canyon road until I saw the disney-magic-esque Red Pine Adventures signage and gate. Parked next a snow drift and walked into the lodge cabin. The original silver miners that settled Park City would have felt right at home in this lodge cabin with its wood burning stove and wooden front porch. So much wood and heat formed an enticing aroma-- like an old-school swedish sauna but without the steam-- that was wonderfully charming and inviting. Plenty of relaxed seating and congenial camaraderie inside. This made it even more difficult when it came time to step outside into the icy razor blades of the howling winter winds. The super-friendly, expert staff wasted no time in getting everyone checked in and suited up with ginormous protective boots that NASA should consider when it finally decides to start that Mars colony. Paperwork on a clipboard from a doctor's office waiting room was a piece of cake. Soon thereafter we drove out to the snowmobiles and we were on our way. No choice in vehicle type-- they all looked the same. Think G.I.Joe's polar battle bears minus the twin laser blasters and sled missiles. These were powerful machines. Riding the snowmobile was a unique experience. Felt totally off balance at first but got the hang of it after about fifteen minutes. After the steep snowy learning curve, the rest of the adventure was like when Cooper had to go inside the black hole. Breathtaking! So much crazy good times cruising around in circles and popping off small jumps-- caught myself humming the Adventure Time theme song which felt weirdly appropriate: "Adventure time! Come on grab your friends, we'll go to a very distant land. With Jake the dog and Finn the human, the fun will never end. It's adventure time!" Random pearls: (1) Face mask is absolutely essential. Unless you intend to end up looking like you work as a supplier at the "Last Chance" gas station, your beautiful visage requires a face-mask. No ifs, ands, or buts. Same goes for helmet, googles, boots. It is not called frost nibble for a reason. Indeed, the G.I.Joe Arctic Blast driver does not wear a face mask. His name is Windchill. 'nuff said. (2) Put on an at least an additional clothing layer beyond what you normally wear skiing/snowboarding since snowmobiling lacks exercise induced thermogenesis. This will avoid getting yourself mentally stuck in the first few minutes of the very first episode of Game of Thrones. (3) Turn on the heated handles right away otherwise your fingers will be bone-chillingly cold in minutes. (4) No need to waste precious snowmobiling temporal gold snapchatting photos until your guide takes you to the top of the mountain scenic spot. It is the proverbially kodak moment. Panoramic and inspiring. On one hand going so late in the day meant Vanilla Sky color palette of pastel hues as the sun slowly began to set. Astonishing! (5) On the other hand going so late in the day meant the temperature kept dropping by the minute. "But sir, the Hoth system is supposed to be devoid of human forms." (6) do not use the brakes at all when going off the cliff of the mountain scenic spot. Kodak courage it for the 'gram! (7) Keep a vigilant eye on the effervescent tour guides for hand signals since they always know the master plan to keep everyone on schedule. It must be like herding cats but the guides do an incredible job of pacing the adventure and babysitting when need be. (8) Consider powdering your nose before your hit the trails since you will not want to stop during the tour because it so much fun. (9) consider bringing your shoes with you to the snowmobile area-- since that is where they collect their boots. (10) It is a lot more fun with only one person per snowmobile. It is not like tandem bicycle romance. Also, two people sharing a snowmobile seems to present a higher risk of tipping over or getting stuck. (11) Stay sober and totally focused on what is ahead-- the trail can change in a deceptively fast second. Just remember Matt Groening's sage wisdom: "Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come." We had a wonderful time snowmobiling with Red Pine Adventures in Park City. We scheduled ourselves for the late afternoon tour (3:00pm), and it ended up being just my wife & I with the guide. This was absolutely wonderful as we had all the time in the world to explore & play. The absolutely BEST feature of Red Pine: it is 6 minutes from downtown Park City. If you book with ANY of the other companies, you are facing a 45 minute drive out into the middle of nothing. Not being from the area, and not being a snow driver, we hated driving out to the other company we tried. There was no cell signal that far out, and therefore our GPS wasn't working. My favorite part of the trip: Red Pine does the "scary" driving for you. Instead of asking you to drive your car up a winding mountain with no signs, they handle all of the driving for you using a shuttle. They were also extremely helpful in terms of helping you get your gear situated, making sure you had the right helmet, and taking time to answer questions. They have a beautiful building that you meet at, with everything setup just right. Book your snow mobile experience with Red Pine -- you'll have a great time! Solid snowmobile experience! Group was a little large to let loose and have some fun. They didn't ask the experience level of the group so we had fresh beginners with us which really slowed us down but it was still a very cool experience. Little pricey for what you get, but worth it in the end. Only one level of sleds too the 550cc. I would have paid more for a bigger sled and less people to adventure more and run them a little faster. read more

We went with our 3 kids - 11 and 13 - and had a great time. The machines were very well taken care of and worked flawlessly. If you are concerned about safety and kids going - don't be - the trails were fun, but gentle, and lots of other people had much younger kids. Kids can't drive if they are under 16, but the machines were very comfortable for 2 - I was with my 6-foot-tall son and we were very comfortable. read more

Would actually give 4.5 stars. You only go as fast or aggressive as the group you are in. Had frustrating moments behind slow riders and I even had my 5 year old daughter on my lap while riding my sled. I think my grandma would have been faster then some of the other riders. Guides were very helpful and friendly, but should have given the option of separating the riders based upon ability. I had so much fun, that we went back a day later for more adventures! read more
