The swim/soak for 40 minutes in the natural crater is a 5/5 experience! The cost is $30 per person…read more(a little pricey), and the water temperature is usually high 90s Fahrenheit (cooler than a typical hot tub). Lockers and changing rooms (but not showers or bathrooms) are available for your items after you enter the crater. The online purchase to reserve your spot was easy. You should bring your own towel and lock for a locker. The Homestead facility is currently undergoing construction, so I realize the check in experience may improve later. The signs for parking and check in locations were confusing and/or incorrect, and multiple employees with an H polo didn't help us with finding the lot when we were clearly looping around among construction unsure where to go. I'd recommend to Homestead to remove/cover the arrow sign to the crater on Bluff Rd until that construction is complete. Additionally, I recommend better check-in signage on the beige activities building since this busy country club has many "activities" from tennis to golf that aren't necessarily linked to the crater. Temporary A-frame signs would be sufficient. I felt safe in the crater with the required life vest, and we signed waivers before entering. The view from the top of the crater is lovely if you're willing to climb a few dozen steps.

This is a very unique experience that I won't soon forget. Pricey so may be a one time experience,…read morebut if you are reconsidering it... I say do it once! They say that over 10,000 years ago the Homestead Crater was formed when melting snow along the Wasatch Mountains mixed with heated geothermal hot springs 2 miles below the earths surface started spewing out water and picking up minerals such as limestone which were then deposited above the earths surface forming a volcano or "beehive" like formation. A Swiss settler discovered it in the late 1800's and named it a hot pot. Originally visitors had to be lowered into it via cable. As of the mid 1990's there is now access via a tunnel. We of course had to check it out and I'm so glad we got to experience it and learn about the history. It wasn't as hot as I had expected it to be, and while I initially thought 50 min was not enough of an experience, it most certainly was.

The river behind it was beautiful and flowing; there is a beautifully carved bench to sit on by the river (the wood carving around the property is out of this world amazing!). The laundry room and rec room facilities were incredible: so clean. Our kids loved having a pool table to play. TV with a couch. Fishing pond within walking distance... couldn't ask for more! Great stop with full hookups in Utah. Super dog friendly. One note: we always try to leave camping sites cleaner than we got them, and each kid picks up ten pieces of trash. Most sites we stay at we don't need to pick up trash. Our RV site had pop can tabs, cigarette butts, and tiny pieces of trash. We picked them all up, despite not having made the trash, but just hope that people that stay in the future are cognizant of their own trash removal.

The restrooms and laundry areas are clean and easy to access, and the grounds are beautiful year-round, with scenic walking trails even in the winter. The wildlife is amazing--bald eagles, hawks, cranes, and beaver ponds make this place feel really special. One thing that meant a lot to me was the kindness of the staff--they even helped shovel my vehicle out when I was injured. The park is quiet and peaceful at the end of the road, with gorgeous views, river walks, and a renowned fishing area right across the street. It's been a joy taking my dogs on hikes along the river every day. With affordable cabins as well, it's a wonderful spot for families, friends, and anyone wanting a peaceful getaway in the Park City / Heber area. Highly recommend.

My coworker said his friend had used this company to rent from before, so he called them up to work out a deal to rent a Polaris Rzr for a half day. We ended up paying $220. We pulled up to the side of the road and the dude had his truck with the Polaris waiting for us. We signed the rental agreement and he gave us the rundown on operating the vehicle and showed us the map and what trails to away from. He said just to text him when we were 20 minutes out and he'd drive back and wait for us. I forget his name, but he was very nice and knowledgeable. The whole experience was amazing and it was such a rush to be offroading in that beast of an ATV! All four of us had plenty of time behind the wheel and the scenery up in the mountains was breathtaking. We drove through deep water, mud, did donuts..this thing was unstoppable! The rain came and kind of put damper in things...Rain hitting you in the face at 40mph stings a bit and the girls were cold, but we toughed it out for a few hours and still had a blast! Definitely call up New Heights Rentals if you're in the Salt Lake City area and want to do some off roading. It's one hell of a good time!
