A great way to see and learn about the different canyons around Sedona. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and worked hard to ensure we had a good experience. We took the hour tour and saw 7 canyons. It really was a great first day introduction to Sedona and helped us quickly learn about the area. The pilots did an excellent job of showing and explaining the differences and unique aspects of the canyons,and, frankly, it was just a great deal of fun to explore the area in a helicopter. SENSATIONAL! Happily will recommend for folks that move slow/have cane. As long as you can climb into a high/elevated SUV you'll be fine. What a treat! The woman who took care of intake was great. Get weighed (discreetly), watch a safety video and then she'll drive you a couple hundred yards to airstrip and helicopter. Christian, our pilot, was just terrific. Obviously did a great job flying us through the epic red rock but also gave infinite, invaluable information on places to see in Sedona, history, the rock formations, incredible cliff dwellings, off-road/walking trails, etc. He is worth his weight in gold! The ride itself is such a unique, special opportunity and totally worth the expense. Thereafter you're picked up and taken back where you parked. We recently did a Skyline tour via Guidance Air and it was a fun experience. The check-in process was easy, the staff were very friendly and professional. After you watch a brief safety video you'll be taxied over the helicopter, loaded up and head out on your tour. Our pilot was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. While the ride was only about 15 minutes long, it certainly offered a different perspective on many of the popular sites surrounding Sedona that you wouldn't see from the ground. read more

Organized, friendly, and safe. We booked the 25-min dirt devil tour for our daughter's 30th birthday, and all went according to plan! The ride was a little bumpy here and there, so if you get motion sick it would be best to take a Dramamine when you arrive for the pre-flight. We flew through a variety of canyons to the north of Sedona - and the views were amazing. Had a little difficulty with the VOX headsets - and the tour commentary was a little hard to understand at times. Otherwise, highly recommended. read more

My wife and I came out to Sedona to celebrate our anniversary and wanted to get a better look at the beautiful landscape the area has to offer. What better way to do that than by air. We settled on Guidance Air because they are a reputable company with referrals from everyone and everybody we talked to in town. We decided on an 11 am flight doing the cathedral flight plan. We showed up 15 minutes prior as instructed and watched a short safety video and then loaded up into a van and drove to the flight line. Our helicopter was there waiting for us to be loaded up and after escorting us one at a time our pilot gave us a quick brief and we were off. Sedona from the air is a whole experience on its own and thanks to the pilot I have a whole new appreciation for this beautiful place. read more

One of the most incredible experiences of my life. Growing up, I had dreams were I saw myself flying or floating through various landscapes, as many kids do. Well, this is the real thing! The helicopter lifts off so gently, it's weirdly not scary and feels unexpectedly natural. Our pilot, Christian, pointed out all of the major sights in and around Sedona on our 30-minute flight, then took us through canyons and forests for a truly unique view of Sedona's breathtaking ecology that would be impossible to see by foot or car. Not sure how these things typically go, but it was just us two plus the pilot, so felt extra special. Yes, its expensive, but truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you're going to ride a helicopter anywhere, Sedona is the place to do it. The office staff were helpful and offered us drinks pre and post flight. There are very clean bathrooms inside the office and some very cool lounge chairs if you arrive early or are waiting for your ride home. Pro tip: There is a killer overlook onto all of Sedona right by the airport, so bring your camera. read more
