I was originally quoted for $180 (high enough) but, it ended up being like $220 with fees and prorating.. ridiculous! BEcause, I booked it on Thursday, luckily not Wednesday like initially intended (needed it for Friday) but, they had to start charging from time of booking which doesn't help me any and cost an extra $8/day. In addition, they left the damn lock on the thing so we couldn't access it until Saturday anyway and were there trying to unload on Friday night and couldn't. Had to wait until Saturday when someone was there to get into it....UGH! frustrating!!! OH well! I need it for about 2 weeks or so and I'll be gone. Just so expensive and I would not recommend them.

This is the ONLY move we have had where the movers haven't damaged/scratched something. They sent a 3-person team (Andy, Yeri, and Dan) for $189 per hour. They arrived at 8:45 and left our new place at 1:45 moving 3 bedrooms, study, and basement. They wrapped all of the furniture in pads and plastic wrap before they loaded. At our new place, they placed furniture where we wanted. The new place has hardwood floors and they removed metal feet from our furniture and replaced them with felt pads that I already had. Andy even offered to do a simple repair (they didn't do the damage) on an old piece of furniture. We were amazed that they could carry two things easily and go up and down the stairs without banging into the walls. When their hands were empty they ran up and down the stairs. When they left, my husband and I looked at each other and said, "wow! They were amazing!"

Besides being more competitive with pricing, I immediately recognized the friendly let's do what it takes attitude Mark displayed. I was dealing with a local owner/ operator whom cared. I made several changes to my schedule and each time I was met with extreme flexibility and a can do attitude. I can't speak more highly nor recommend a better organization than Units. You never want to hear the moving crew say "we should have brought a bigger truck." The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.

When the driver backed the truck up to the gate, he smashed a young tree on my property; it was easy to see and easy to avoid, but he was careless. I called the owner, and no sooner had I told him what happened than he started blaming my neighbor for having them go around the back. What, it wasn't his employee driving the truck? All I wanted to do was let him know it happened so he could tell his crew to be more careful, if he'd apologized and offered to replace it I'd have turned him down because it hadn't cost me much and it looked like it would be ok. Instead he acted like a tool... not the behavior of a reputable businessman. Use someone else.

My POD was scheduled to be delivered on a…read morespecific date and time, and after waiting all day, the driver canceled after telling me he was already on the way. This completely disrupted our move. Because of PODS' failure to deliver as promised, I now have to reschedule movers that were already paid for, and family members traveled to help unload everything for nothing. To make matters worse, I am currently sleeping on the floor because all of my belongings are stuck in the POD, and my elderly mother now has to spend extra money on a hotel due to this delay. This situation has caused unnecessary stress, financial loss, and hardship for my family. Communication and reliability were extremely poor, and I expected much better service from a company handling something as important as a move.

Seven people planned for the day to help move my son and daughter- in- law move their belongings into their apartment. As the day wore on, the national contact told us repeatedly what the updated times were according to what the local warehouse was providing on the computer. The warehouse people reassured us it was out for delivery and the last estimate was now 2:30, next delivery. They never came. When the national people tried to call the local office they never answered the phone for them. Obviously, the local warehouse people took the afternoon off and lied all day. They never intended to make the delivery. So seven people wasted their day and now we have been scheduled for Monday when not everyone is available. The 30% discount doesn't seem worth it anymore!
