Girl at the front desk was as quiet as a mouse, acted like she didn't want to be there and now I know why, and essentially was a mute. I booked a king bed room. Walk into room? And felt like i was inside a cigarette. Smoking room. I DID NOT ORDER THIS!! I DONT SMOKE OR DO I LIKE SMELLING LIKE IT!!!! So I go back downstairs and ask to be moved- they say they only have a two queen bed room. So I tell the manager she's a moron and go back up to my room. Should have walked to the local convenience store and got a carton of Parliaments. The vending machines are empty, the pool is "closed for maintenance," and the whole place is underwhelming. The next morning I waddled down to the lobby for the free breakfast - which looked good. Real scrambled eggs, an option for ones with cheese, brown n' serve sausage links which we grew up on, and home fries. Got a little of each - but the problem??? IT WAS ALL COLD!!!! I made two mini waffles and they were good enough - even though the waffle mix was incorrect. I pride myself on a day after coffee at these places - put in the creamer and Splenda, and then added what looked like a very light roast. IT WAS COLD!!! And the coffee had more water than roast grounds. Man what a joke of a hotel top to bottom.

There is no in room coffee. This has been a thing with IHG and typically I ask when booking. If they don't have in room coffee I'll book elsewhere. I didn't with this one so shame on me. I get up early with my morning coffee and begin working from the hotel room. So today I had to get dressed and go down to the lobby to get coffee bringing it back to my room so I can begin working. Wife had bites on her arms, neck, face by the morning. I had a bad delayed reaction and broke out with bed bug bites on my face, neck, arms, hands, back, legs, and feet. We have plenty of pictures as well. Our child was in a full zip up onesie and was luckily spared, otherwise I would have lost it. Got out of this hotel quickly, as we saw streaks of blood (from the bed bugs) on the sheets after we woke up and checked. Usually the best you're gonna find. Wasn't worth trying to find a bug just to prove a point. No surprise and we don't even care about a refund honestly. It's more important that people know what they're paying for.

I choose this location because it seemed interesting--I had never stayed in a hotel overlooking a baseball field! Even though no games were going on while I was there, it was a nice (and beautiful) change of scenery. When I checked in, I was impressed by the gentleman at the front desk; he was very cheerful and friendly! Without me asking, he stated that he gave me a room with a great view and far from the elevator so I wouldn't hear much foot traffic (always a win!). My room was, clean, comfortable and overlooked Ripken Stadium (I attached a picture of the view from my room). There was a nice indoor pool and even an arcade! Breakfast was great; had the standard bacon/eggs but a few extras like Brie cheese (which I always appreciate!) Overall, I enjoyed my short stay and would definitely come back if in the area--I wouldn't mind getting a room with that same view during a game!

On the weekends, Ron serves a gourmet breakfast to die for, much better than any restaurant in the area or restaurant/hotel in the world. My husband fished every morning and every night right along with the locals at various venues, and Ron knows them all. La Cle D'or is one, two, three blocks walking distance to everything in town. It's a great place for antique shopping, and Ron has some pieces available throughout your room for sale and at extremely reasonable prices. So shopping for the women and fishing for the men. In the evenings, there are a couple of restaurants that feature good food and good live music. This is a wondeful place to get away for a romantic weekend!

Check-in was slightly chaotic, but the crowds were moderate for the beginning of June. School was still in session for most, so it was a good time to come. The staff was fun and had activities that engaged the kids (and parents - hey I'm a big kid!). My oldest daughter won the hula hoop competition, and the prize was free ice cream. Our package included the ropes course, mini golf, bowling, the slides and of course access to the pools. Our room was clean. It featured two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a pull-out couch and a small refrigerator. If your room is away from the elevator, please bring your walking shoes! You will get your steps in! I ordered the pork mac, definitely the best one of the group. The pork was a bit too well done, it was either well done or charred (burnt, crunchy, ashy). The rest of it was kind of good. Each entree was about $20 so definitely overpriced. If food credit was not issued, it would be worth it to drive around for food. The room was fine. The AC in the room with the double beds was much louder the the one in the living room. There were some people that would yell down the hall instead of walking back to their room to talk to their family. The people that worked at the restaurants and cleaned the rooms were pleasant, they didn't have to say anything to us, but they were very polite in my opinion. Overall: the place is way overpriced. there are many other places you can visit for the price. The small town where this is located has a nice vibe, but not a lot of things around.
