I paid for my items with cash as I have done before. I stood a little longer as she was fiddling with her keys like she was going to put in drawer. I did not use my card . She charged me to the room . If you pay cash from the little food store make sure you get a receipt. The people in the South are much more courteous and I've never had to ask for a receipt. This will happen again to another customer. Please make sure you are not overpaying for anything. I sincerely hope that the people above watch videos to make sure employees are not scamming anyone. I will not book again with place because of this. I just want make the public aware.

The hotel is always decorated beautifully for the holidays. I make it a yearly tradition to come and stay there around the Christmas holiday season.

We also briefly visited Antioch college, Alma mater of Rod Serling. This idyllic town and hotel remind me of the perfect start to an episode of the Twilight Zone. (I truly mean that in the best way possible- quaint, unassuming, darling Ohio towns are typically one of the main ingredients of the recipe for many episodes.)

They had little coffee cups --- that hold maybe 6 oz. There were no sleeves for the coffee cups so prepare to awkwardly hold a napkin around the cup. They only had English breakfast tea. Their breakfast offerings were so minimal I Dont think it would break the budget to have maybe 3 types of tea. The junk food sold at the front desk are all off brands. All in all, a dismal experience

Design aesthetic & condition wasn't so great: paint & maintenance work was shoddy, lighting was imbalanced & meager, & window glass was dirty (Windows aren't functional btw). BED An amazing mattress ... with an unfortunate pillow situation (another hotel cutting corners with the undersized sets+weak poly fill ). I loved everything else about the setup: soft polyester sheets -- perfect for winter--, supportive Serta perfect sleeper mattress, & a relaxing, airy, plush topper BATH A Bathtub big enough for a pool party! Housebrand Toiletries were provided & we really enjoyed them in the spa tub w/jets. The rest of the bathroom features were incredibly underwhelming. Dirty grout lines, slow to heat water, patchy paint, & a single hook for all the towels (???). The toilet flush is also very weak. I highly recommended a few courtesy flushes anytime you use it! TV & ENTERTAINMENT 40" HD LG This was painful due to the poor interoperability of their universal remote cover; i it's slow as molasses to register inputs & you're better off walking to the TV & manually changing channels... Luckily there are a ton in premium channels & an indoor Pool for reprieve. WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION Frequent disconnects from wifi which was unencrypted & not travel router friendly. Thankfully we got great signal (Verizon) w/5G speeds. --Performance-- Video streaming - average Online gaming - average Video chatting - average --Nerd Stats-- 49-55 Mbps download 18-37 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 23 ms latency 2 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK DoorDash friendly. Front staff and housekeeping are very polite and easy to interact with. The daily morning breakfast items were much more than expected. There were daily scrambled eggs and some type of sausage patties/breakfast meat, English muffins, bagels. A couple of mornings, biscuits and gravy were available. Daily offerings included cereal and yogurts, along with oatmeal and almost a dozen toppings. There was also fruit, juice, several coffees, and teas. Less that 100 yards away are several places for lunch/dinner. From approximately 5 to 10 PM there was a full bar (wine too) with many drink specials, and happy hour was 5-7PM. And the bartender, Melanie, was glad to make a recommendation or a favorite libation too.

We stayed here from Saturday- Tuesday July 5-9, on the 5th floor, the only day we received adequate housekeeping service was on Sunday, all the other days we came back to the hotel room, after 5pm, either the room was not cleaned OR the floor was not vacuumed , beds were covered up without underneath sheets were straighten or clean at all. See pictures, that's the bed after it was supposed to be made. I believe the hotel management do have all the necessary information to figure out who needs to be retrained on their job duties. Room: spacious, but...the air conditioning was super loud, even after we lowered it to the lowest level, it is still loud. Had to turn it off at times to get some rest . Body wash run out after 1 day staying, and I guess the hotel probably run out of the wall mount bottles so they gave us 2 small travel size bottles . No body lotion, had to ask for it. Amenities: there is a gym and pool on the first floor, small but good enough Location: convenient, next to shopping centers, restaurants and movie theater. Parking was easy. Next time when I am in the area, not sure if I will stay here, to risk for another unpleasant stay. Do recommend management emphasize on housekeeping qualities, since it is a crucial element when running a hotel.

There's also an adorable breakfast nook under a window looking out over the trees. Yellow Springs, Ohio is certainly my kind of quirky and lived up to expectations. From Jailhouse, it's a short walk, say five minutes, down to the heart of the town, and the famed Little Miami trail. This is a perfect location for those hoping to enjoy what the town has to offer. THE PERFECT PILLOW!! I've hardly ever found one with a pillow to my liking. Plenty of outlets for electronics, nice mini fridge, didn't have a freezer for my ice packs, but that's the only minus at all. Easy accessible parking, friendly staff. Well laid out and nicely stocked breakfast for in the morning before my drive back home. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it highly to anyone traveling through or staying in Dayton.

There's nobody on site to help with anything. Check in was confusing, as we didn't receive an email with our code. We arrived at 5 pm, but still had trouble getting somebody on the phone to assist us. There are no amenities, including ice. They point out the dumpster on property, so I guess there's that. For the price, this should be a nicer motel. I'll stay elsewhere in the future.

Yellow Springs is a get little town, just don't stay here to explore it.
