Ok, I'm a fan. I SLOWLY got to like this place. The first time I stopped I wasn't all that impressed. It's really hard to get in and out of the parking lot as it's on a busy street and it sits at a weird little angle in the road. I think the building might have been a bank in former days--just a guess. But it's on my way home from work and I stop there more and more often. Service has been great. Food is fresh (I especially like the veggie wrap) and the iced tea is to die for! And I consider myself an iced tea conessieur. Ok so I decided to give it another chance.. Went back for the Carolina Pork BBQ again and asked if they could put some extra Carolina BBQ sauce on it and was told "there is no sauce for this sandwich, the meat is marinated in the sauce" What! read more

For starters: this a FAST FOOD joint, FYI. You can sit down, they bring out your order, but for all intents & purposes it's a fast food joint. It has a drive through. The food is just ok but it feels like a McDonald's. The picture on the menu and what you get is very different and you get waffle fries instead of regular fries. The employees are nice but they don't listen to requests: I wanted hot sauce on the side which they forgot and I wanted a milkshake with no whipped cream but they put it on anyways. read more

The meats are well prepared - we tried the pit beef, pit pork carolina style, and pulled pit beef with BBQ sauce. The waffle fries and sweet potato fries were also delicious. Consistently good food , clean , very good service for So Central Pa. Good menu selections and hours of operation again a surprise for this area. They even have a speedy drive thru or outdoor eating areas if you can't stand the country music they play. read more

Great place in waynesboro. Always takes a min to convince a friend to try it. Once they do they're hooked. Personally the bullhog burger is the only way to go here. They never skimp on the ham for it. Love the BBQ sauce. I love the fact that at the tables they have a bottle of ketchup and their BBQ sauce. I end up drowning my burger with it. Waffle fries are really good. The staff had always been really nice and will always come by to get me a refill or grab me one on my way out. Just came in last night for the first time! Heard from a friend the ribs were fantastic so I decided I had to try them for myself. I have to say they didn't disappoint! The restaurant was clean and the employees were helpful. One young lady with blond hair was smiley and made myself and the customers behind me feel welcomed. This is one of our faves in Waynesboro. Living down south its hard to match their BBQ anything, but Red Run has matched it! The drive through service is by far one of the best I have ever used. This is the type of place that remembers you as a name and your order. We eat there at least once a week! I did suggest sweet potato pie similar to the apple pie that McDonald's sells. Bojangles in the south sells them and they're yummy and this keeps with the southern flair. Fingers crossed! read more

Great place with good food a solid 4 star on quality and selection the menu is extensive. The food is only the beginning the fast friendly service puts them over top. I Had to give them five stars for that. They have great sweet tea and seriously the best waffle fries ever. Here's a tip order them with cheese! I have to say that I have made better BBQ but that's not point mcd's isnt the best burger in the world but its always packed . This is my new favorite place. All the pictures inside of the food is actually what the food looks like. Place was very clean and people were amaxingly nice and helpful. Went there with my boyfriend.for dinner and got the grilled chicken sandwhich and sweet tea both were amazing. The sweet tea.is the best ive ever had and they will sell it by the gallon if u take an empty jug in. The g grilled chicken was so juicy and flavorful. Love Red Run Grill. We started going there when we were building our home here. We lived in NC for 20 years before that. You couldn't find a good good glass of sweetened tea or a pork barbeque sandwhich anywhere. I guess it's a southern thing. When we went to Red Run Grill we ordered tea and pork barbeque. OMG!!!! Passing through town saw a "best pulled pork" sign and figured we would give it a try. Not impressed, the pulled pork was good but not even in the top 20 I have had traveling around the US. Disappointed. Just went in there today because my boyfriend wanted some crab dip. It tastes like it's 90% sour cream. Nothing was included for dipping-- was just a little plastic container with dip, so we had to use our own crackers. I had a turkey sandwich, which was good. No one offered any sauce to go with. I also got an order of fries which were underseasoned. I doubt we'll be going back. read more

My son-in-law and I were on the way back from a late golf outing and drove through to get our late supper. I ordered the Pit Beef sandwich with waffle fries. I was immediately impressed by how sweet and friendly the staff was as they filled our order. A couple of days later, my wife and I were in the area shopping for antiques, and stopped by for lunch. She got the turkey and ham on a pretzel bun, and I got the Pittsburgh BBQ. The guy taking our order was attentive and friendly (even though my wife always has to ask 400 questions before ordering anything), and all the food was top-drawer. It was so good that we stopped again 2 days later and had lunch again. The Pit Beef is excellent because it has just the perfect amount of sauce, and the meat is tender and juicy, never dried out. The PittBBQ is the typical northern style, with thick hickory BBQ sauce that was quite tasty. I didn't add extra sauce to either of them. (Rick H. should have known better than to ask for more Carolina sauce, because most places just don't do it that way. I ate some Carolina BBQ at another restaurant during the week, and they didn't have any extra sauce either.) My wife loved her sandwich enough to eat it twice. The waffle fries are literally the very best I've eaten anywhere. I'm not sure how they do it, but there is a light crunchy crust outside the tender potato, and they are downright addictive. The cole slaw was the best I've had in a small-scale restaurant - crunchy, good mixture, tangy sauce. I do wish they had Coke products instead of Pepsi, but they have the widest variety possible of different selections. Add to all this that every person on the staff is pleasant, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and you can guarantee that we will be back on our next trip to the area. read more
