I placed an order online, never received order confirmation. 3 days later I called and she assured me it would ship 1st thing in the morning. 3 more days pass, still no tracking or order confirmation. I called and requested tracking. She said as a small business, the post office does not provide them with tracking, which is a lie. The truth was, it had not even shipped and the following day I was finally emailed tracking numbers. She also was very unfriendly, and plain rude aside of her lies, she hung up on me! I will not be a return customer and I hope you consider this before becoming a customer too. You'd think they would care about their customers and actually WANT them to return. Laurel Redmon is one of the most gifted acupuncturists EVER! Seriously, she's intuitive and magical and lovely and empathetic and thorough, and clearly I can't say enough good things about her. She takes a full history so as to not miss anything - even the little things are important and she always validates whatever it is that you might be going through. Laurel also does cupping and shorter ear point treatments if you can't afford/don't have time for a full session. My quality of life increased significantly after working with her. First, I wish to state that I actually do not believe in acupuncture! I truly believe that whatever benefits are derived from acupuncture are the results of placebo effect. That said, here's all I can tell you about my first visit to Red Sage Health. I suffer from benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and have done as much as I can with physical therapy and medication. I had been feeling dizzy for the last three months. Finally, I went into Red Sage. I simply wanted to be pampered. They offer a wonderful walk-in service which is auricular only (ear acupuncture) and is a fraction of the cost of a full body appointment. (It's best to call ahead to make sure an acupuncturist is available.) I found Red Sage to be very clean, bright, welcoming, professional and relaxing. They only use one-time sterile disposable needles. The waiting room smells lovely because of calming herbal products, and the chairs and couches are comfortable. My acupuncturist was one of the owners, Laurel, and she emanated skill and compassion. I'm so pleased she worked on me. She asked a couple questions to get started, then placed the needles around my ear and a couple in the back of my neck and head. It didn't hurt at all, but it was stimulating and very calming. I was then allowed to sit for about 30 minutes and relax. I used the time to practice mindfulness and meditation (those things I *do* believe in). Laurel was very good to check in on me a couple times to make sure I was okay, and then she removed the needles. And I hadn't felt that good in over three months. I left with no dizziness, no pain, and completely de-stressed. That was a week ago, and I am still totally stable. I had thought it might take a few visits to see any improvement, but that first treatment held its own. I absolutely will return to Red Sage for acupuncture if I ever need it again. I highly recommend this place, especially for skeptics like myself. Everyone there is really down to earth and there was no high pressure selling up of products or services. Just a very effective session of stimulus through deftly placed needles and compassionate treatment. read more

Red Sage turned this non-believer into an awestruck worshiper-- acupuncture and shiatsu both work miracles! A friend had recommended this place when I had dry sockets (a strangely agonizing condition when gums don't heal back over pulled tooth sockets, leaving the bone exposed. I was popping codeine like it was candy, to no effect. I went in to Red Sage, having taken three codeine pills much earlier in the day, to virtually no avail-- the pain from dry sockets really is that bad. I admitted I didn't believe in acupuncture at all. Laurel smiled patiently and said she understood, sat me down in the exam room, put in four tiny pins-- one in each earlobe, one in my left hand, and the final one, in my right hand, and the pain VANISHED! I later went to Red Sage a few months after I tore both rotator cuffs in my shoulders, falling through a roof. Laurel said rather than acupuncture I should have John give me Shiatsu. Similar story-- wasn't sure I believed in it, nothing else had worked. John sunk his thumbs DEEP into the top of my shoulders, massaged a few other points, and my shoulders healed up within days. I've since been back for a slipped (herniated) disc in my lower back-- cupping plus acupuncture worked like a charm-- even a bad flu. The treatments here really stop pain and/or speed recovery times tremendously, and the staff couldn't be more accommodating, professional and courteous. I'd say it's like magic, but I guess the Asians have been perfecting this stuff for two or three thousand years, so I shouldn't be so surprised. Thank you Red Sage! read more

I have just started going to Red Sage based on a referral from my acupuncturist for cupping. They are open seven days a week, which is extremely convenient. I've had some appointments cancelled before, but they are good about rescheduling ahead of time. The staff has been great so far, and their friendly attitude provides for a very calming environment from the moment you walk in. I've seen two different acupuncturists there for cupping, and I've enjoyed my treatments so far. Each therapist has their own methods. But, that has helped me figure out my preferences. I bought some tea there. When I opened it at home there were live bugs crawling out of packet. I'm not squeamish, just annoyed that I would have to schlep all the way back to the store to exchange it. I phoned to let them know and asked if they could prepare a bug free packet of the "Nervine" tea so I could pick it up (they were still open for one hour). Unfortunately they were closing early that day. Not their fault at all but when I explained to them that because of their hours I would have to put off exchanging for another week he did not offer me anything for my inconvenience. Not happy with the bugs or their customer service. If I have a better interaction when I exchange the product then I will revise my review. read more
