Sicilian pizza is so good . Garlic knots , good flavor but always come swimming in oil or butter .

This place is good if you order pizza and the garlic knots but anything else is a toss up. I got a grilled chicken Caesar salad and the chicken was hammered down and way over grilled. It looked like doggy chew strips and didn't even taste like chicken. It was disgusting and by far the worst chicken salad I have ever had. Delivery order for a calzone around lunch. It took an hour to arrive and without what it said on the menu. Called and was told someone would deliver the correction to me, which never happened. The calzone was apparently veggie aka "The Good Stuff" but was basically just dough and cheese. This place has some amazing pizza for sure! There are many other items on their menu that are phenomenal and may not be as well known. They have delicious salads (particularly love the Southwest chicken salad and Thai chicken salads) and their garlic knots are irresistible! They also do catering. We have used them multiple times and they always deliver quality food. They have a great variety and are accommodating when requesting small modifications to certain dishes. I have driven past The Red Tomato and always thought "we need to try that". Tonight we did and I was really impressed with the menu options, so many unique pizzas to try! We ate in, but as previous reviews say, its only got 4 tables and is extremely casual. The food we ordered was excellent, some of the best garlic knots I've had (and I know my knots) and I got a small Chipotle Chicken Pizza, very flavorful, it had corn and black beans on it, delicious. The Red Tomato is very close to where I work, so I've eaten here several times for lunch. I've always been happy with what I've ordered (Chopped Salad, various paninis, chicken sandwiches and pizza by the slice). Friendly service when I've gone to the restaurant and quick delivery when I needed it. You can eat at the restaurant, but there are only about 3-5 tables and it's VERY casual. It's actually in the same building as a Dunkin' Donuts, so prepare for a variety of delicious aromas when you walk in! read more

I've been going to this fucking hole in the wall pizza shop for years before school not cause the pizza is good but more or less because it was convenient. They usually have a lunch special that they will serve throughout the day, two slices with a fountain drink For 5 bucks. so today I ordered two slices that had toppings because they were completely out of plain pizza mind you he didn't tell me he was going to charge me for the toppings cause that what the last guy did but when he told me it was more than five I called him out and said NO! I usually get that for five bucks he quickly caught an attitude with me and threw my change at me and said don't worry I'll give it to you anyway which I replied you know what forget about it and give me my money back when he did he threw the rest of my money at me and muttered something at me which I replied go fuck yourself in Spanish. Second time just as great! We were craving Red Tomato but we're too lazy to drive the 15 min. They generously agreed to deliver to us in Walnutport. Salads HUGE and delicious and shrimp vitale app was to die for. Pizzas were great as usual. Would love to see a shrimp scampi pizza on the menu ;). Or shrimp vitale on pizza would be awesome!!! This really is just another pizza joint, nothing here you have to come back for,I really only go there because it's near me and there's not much else around here, many times I have called and asked for a menu item and they say they don't have any I think they were just to lazy to make it. First off, what you can take from my review is that this pizza shop will not rectify their mistakes. I ordered two pizzas. One pepperoni with jalapeño on half, and a chicken bacon pizza. Also ordered garlic knots. My delivery guy called about 50 minutes after my order was placed. He told me that he had 3 other orders in my area and that they had forgotten the pepperoni pizza. He would drop this one off and go back for the other one. He told me that I would get a fresh pie made and he would deliver it. I waited almost another hour for my pepperoni with jalapeño on half. That tells me that they had our driver deliver more pizzas on his way back to us. When the pizza arrived it was extremely cold and missing the jalapeño. Being that it was so cold tells me that they didn't even make us a fresh pie. They brought me a cold 2 hour old pie. I called and told them that I wanted the pizza that I ordered. Their response was that we didn't pay for the jalapeño because they forgot to charge us for it. So there was nothing they could do. He knew we ordered jalapeño and despite our pizza being delivered 2 hours late he took it upon himself to decide that we would be content with a cold pizza missing the toppings we ordered. He said that he tried to call and ask if we were okay paying for the jalapeño but we never received a call. I can't believe that over a few jalapeños they were so willing to give up a customer. I buy jalapeños for 89 cents per pound. I think he could have realized his mistake (not charging us for the jalapeño we ordered) he should have just put jalapeño on the damn pizza and called it a day. He may have Been out 13 cents. I'm blown away. I have known other shops bring a free soda or something when they are late. This place never even got me what I ordered. SCUM BAG BUSINESS! YOU GUYS SUCK! OVER A FEW JALAPEÑOS. I was between giving them 3 or 4 stars, but I had to give them a 3 based on my last visit there. Their pizzas are good and they have a good variety. Last time though, we ordered a margarita pizza to go, and the person on the phone told me it would be about 5 minutes. I wondered how they could make a fresh pizza in that amount of time, until I received the pizza and noticed that they threw fresh mozzarella on an already cooked pizza and just warmed it back up. I did not taste good at all, and we have eaten pizza there many times and enjoyed it. Shame on a place for not making a fresh pizza for a customer! We ordered way before they closed too...btw. THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPIERIENCED IN MY LIFE! Rude and careless! Ordered 2 large pizzas 1 hour before my guests were arriving and based on previous experiences fully expected to wait the full hour even though i was told 45 mins over the phone. "Should be safe" i thought...haha! (Pretty sad when i am no more than 6 mins from them.) 2.5 hours later and 2 more phone calls later im still waiting!!! No apology, no offer to give a discount. In fact i was treated rudely and unprofessional each time i tried to find out where my order was. I was lied to and brushed off. They had already charged me and didnt care if i was unhappy. I will never order from here again and ill make sure my neighbors, friends, and all locals i meet know to stay away too! Fyi....this is not my only bad experience with this place. I had my order changed for me one time since they were out of chicken. They took it upon themselves to substitute what i ordered for another item without even asking me! If you are looking for a quick lunch, a family meal, or a catered event, this is the place. They have all of your traditional Italian fare, but all of their recipes are unique. Even simple things like wraps and sandwiches have a unique touch. The bread they have here is some of the best you will find. I love their pizza. I ordered 2 large pies for delivery on a Wednesday at 10:41AM. By 12:52, after 2 calls to see where they were, I canceled my order. They hung up on me! We seem to get takeout from this teeny eatery about once a month...mainly because there are very few places that deliver to the middle of east bumblefreak---where I just happen to reside. Anyway, I am pretty much "hooked" on the Rocco Red Pannini--a delicious grilled chicken breast, covered in melted provolone/mozarella cheeses, sandwiched with roasted red peppers and leafy greens, all on a grilled seasoned pannini. It arrives in a plastic case and in between the sandwich they fill the space with leafy greens and they douse it all in balsamic vinegar (which you can ask them to hold, if you're not into the pungent taste of vinegar). My only complaint about this sandwich, is that through the last couple of years the price has increased, while the size of the sandwich seems to have decreased...But of course, they wouldn't want to mess with a beautiful thing like inflation? Nooooooo!! We also LOVE the calamari with marinara--but again, the price vs the quantity is not exactly reasonable....Decent Food, but you're gonna' pay thru the nose!! THIS PIZZERIA IS A JOKE! I usually call ahead to place my order and the owner is very rude, he rushes me off the phone when i am not even done ordering. Forget delivery because it is usually over an hour wait. First and foremost, i am never greeted nicely when i walk in to order and feel like i am a burden to eat there. Then, i saw the owner sneeze onto his hands and then continued making a pizza WITHOUT washing his hands. GROSS!! Needless to say, i walked right out of the restaurant.
