MANALAPAN: a beautiful farm located on bucolic Route 33, Red Wagon Farm Market allows well-behaved and leashed dogs in their pumpkin patch! Brie had fun sniffing around the for the perfect pumpkin and we came home with some hefty white and orange pumpkins, gourds, and a hay bale to display it all on! There is also a fresh produce market, corn maze, hay ride, pony rides, and petting zoo. Dogs are only permitted in the pumpkin patch. No reservations needed, no admission fee, and cash only. Open daily through the end of October, check their social media for the latest schedule and updates! Have some dog friendly fun this fall!

what an outstanding pumpkin patch! they had prepicked perfect pumpkins as well as pumpkins still on the vine. It was so nice. the best part is it's dog friendly!!! we brought our rescue dog there and he had a great time! the workers were all so friendly and accommodating! We couldn't recommend this farm enough and we will for sure be back next year!!!

Very cool place. No pressure to buy anything. You can just go there and take pictures with pumpkins and fields. There are hayrides, pony rides and corn maze for a fee. Pumpkins are at good prices, too. All sizes and all varieties. It was really nice to visit there. This was the first time I saw Pumpkins in field still attached to vines. I recommend.

Some of the pumpkins from their patch.

Red Wagon Farm is the perfect place to pick pumpkins. They have a great variety of colors and sizes. There is also an adorable petting zoo and corn maze. The staff is friendly and my kids really enjoyed the day at the Red Wagon.

    Field of (rotting) pumpkins.

We came on a Monday afternoon on the third week of October. The website says they have pumpkin picking from September 11-October 31. However, there are absolutely no pumpkins to pick. It is a complete pumpkin graveyard. All the pumpkins are rotting, already decomposed, or split open. They have a few already picked pumpkins are at least in one piece towards the front near the stands. Ended up leaving with no pumpkins and driving a few minutes to a neighboring farm. I would recommend some type of disclosure on the website indicating either best time to come or disclosure that there are in fact no pumpkins to be picked.

Great fruit and veggie stand. When in season it's great on the weekends for hay rides and pumpkins.

I also grabbed a few strawberry treats as well while I was there. All year round, Battleview has different picking seasons, so check their website for more info to see what's running. They consistently have amazingly fresh produce and if you love corn, you can't beat it. Also for sale in the country store are plenty of other fresh fruits and veggies, sauces and dressings, dips, and lots of candy too! Apple picking time is also very popular! Their pricing is also very fair for what you're getting. It's always nice to support local farms. They had a tough year already with the devastating crop damage from the freeze this past April.

It was $4.49 per pound. $5 entry fee that is applied towards whatever you pick. The staff are really friendly and laughed as I tried to guess everyone's weight for the berries they picked. I'm going to make it an annual tradition. There are ample parking spots for Friday around 11AM. The little store up the road was also filled so many jams, spreads, and strawberry treats.

We went on a Tuesday morning, and from the moment we pulled in, it was a great experience. When you arrive, they ask how many bags you want, give you big plastic bags, and then you're off to pick your own produce. We decided to pick collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, sweet potatoes, and a few peppers. Some items were out of season, so we bought those inside the market instead. Inside, we grabbed garlic, tomatoes, scallions, apples, onions, and a bottle of peach cider which I highly recommend! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The workers were all friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can drive around the farm, park your car to the side, and pick whatever you need. When you're done, you stop at the booth, unload your items to be weighed, and pay there. They accept both cash and all major credit cards. A few tips: wear old clothes and shoes, and definitely don't get your car washed before going because everything gets dusty! I also saw a few people using scissors or knives to cut their vegetables, which is a smart idea, though we picked ours by hand. After getting home, cleaning everything, and cooking up the greens for dinner, I have to say they were the best greens I've ever had in my life. Farm-to-table food truly hits different. The prices were very fair and much cheaper than the supermarket & the quality was unbeatable. I highly recommend visiting this farm for some fresh, nutritious produce to feed your family.

That also included a donut and apple cider after the maze. It was very well organized and they had people directing traffic to park. They had a trailer to buy tickets or present your Groupon, 2 separate lines so it went very quickly. We were given bracelets and were directed to the maze. Before going I read it normally takes about an hour and a half to complete the maze. It was a cool night and many people were arriving to enjoy the maze. We walked around and around for quite a while which is the whole idea. There were some muddy patches since it rained a little in the morning so after I slid in the mud one time I was more careful about where I was stepping. I felt like we were walking in circles and there are no clues or hints to direct you and unfortunately some people pulled down the tapes that mark off the paths so that made it more confusing. After about an hour and a half I was ready to get out of there. Unfortunately we never found the exit but instead made our way back to the entrance. We collected our donuts and cider and called it a night... Not a bad evening and a nice change from the dinner and a movie routine. I just think I'm better suited for the day time maze next time. Staff was very nice and friendly definitely recommend.

However, once we parked and got our tickets, things started moving better. There was more breathing room. This is not a traditional farm where you can pick your own berries. They may have that option, but we went for the activity section that they created. There were corn mazes for all sizes, games, and activities for all ages. There was a fenced kids section for smaller kids that was nice. Food was disappointing. Lines were extremely long and prices high. I would recommend eating before going. While my initial impression of this farm Was stress inducing, I was able to relax once we got into the games and activities it offered. Overall, not what I expected, but a nice experience that I would recommend to others.

This place is a REAL farm, operating since 1860, and is simply magical. You will find only the most wonderfully friendly staff, the most sincere pumpkin patch that Linus would be proud of, and a memorable day outside in the beauty of nature and what makes farm life, farm life. For $5 per person, you are covered for a hay ride to and from the pumpkin patch. A REAL pumpkin patch; not just pumpkin purchased and thrown in a field with straw. Like, maybe bring a small knife to cut these babies free to take home with you! The ride around was super cute with how they decorated the property (I won't completely spoil it for you!) and allowed you to take in the little changes in fall foliage peeking out. For $8 per person, you get access to pick your own flowers for $1 per sunflower and $0.50 per other flower variations, as well as a corn pit, tractor tire tower, obstacle course, basketball hoops, slides, and more. Our 4 year old absolutely had a BALL in the corn kernel pit and the slides really tested his bravery. You could tell the vibe was less about posing for the most perfect photo and more about just being together with family and friends. The two food trucks on location had responsibly prices pork rolls, hot dogs, apple cider donuts and drinks, whereas if you wanted to splurge and be a foodie, they had a BBQ food truck as well. Again, wonderfully friendly staff and the hot dogs have been approved by my toddler. Cash is much appreciated here, even though they do accept credit cards.
