However, this was the closest location for LL Bean so I gave it a shot. This store is much larger than I expected, but the staff were very kind and helpful. I had never been to an LL Bean before so it was a tad overwhelming trying to find the exact pants I was searching for on my own. I was thankful for the help, and also for not judging me based on my size. As a bigger gal, these kind of outfitters are not always friendly to the plus sized crowd. However, the gentleman assured me that whatever wasn't available in my size or color preference in store could be ordered as long as it's in stock. The clothes are a little pricier than what I'm used to. I rarely buy clothes, but when I do it's on sale at a big box store so I know I'm not always getting quality stuff. I will say that everything I tried on actually fit well so shopping here wasn't the usual painful experience for me. I found the pants I was looking for, tried on a variety of others just to make sure I liked the ones I wanted, and was happy with my decision and overall experience. Honestly, I might go back to get a sweater that I fell in love with but don't really need. But it was sooooo soft and comfortable. I'm not what I would consider the typical customer for LL Bean, but I'm no longer counting it out as a place to find the right sporty gear that I know won't be available to me at REI and other outfitters.

I'd be nice if management considered what works best for their staff since it's a really simple item to put on the counter. This is an older lady that could have personal health concerns. Customers don't really mind about this protective measures, but it makes a difference to the workers. Something that simple would help staff stay happy and most likely healthy, as well.

Less than an hour in hourly parking is free at the airport and then you're a short walk to Royal Shine II. (I'm just now finding out Royal Shine I is in Mayfair Mall, so I guess there's one more shoe shine option). Grab a coffee en route at Collectivo. 8 bucks for the shine makes it 10 even with tip, it's an old fashioned good deal too.

Measured, put on a treadmill to see my steps and then recommended a larger size than I had ever bought. He told me I needed to accommodate the larger of my two feet more than my sizing had in the past. He brought out about 4 different pairs/brands and I tested them all out on the indoor track. Eventually we settled on a pair of Saucony. This was a brand I had never bought before and so I was hesitant. But I'm now a month into running with them and they're easily the best running shoes I've ever owned. Price was pretty standard at 150 or so but they're totally worth it. Will be back when visiting my family in Milwaukee. That's how much I loved the store.

They keep track of a whole range of uniform regulations from regional departments and that's really helpful when I come in confused because I wasn't paying close attention to instructions from above. They have the usual prices but are good about billing departments when arrangements have been made. Service always takes the promised amount of time and has always been done correctly. Clearance prices can be very good but you have to have the time to look for the right size. Odd hidden location that is actually pretty convenient once you know where it is. Adequate parking lot except when some large fire department vehicle decides to park running in the drive way. Jeez buddy, "where's the fire?"
