She did a few extractions, a mask, let me know she'd be leaving me for 5 minutes and I think she stepped out for less than 5. No phone calls made while she was outside. It is just sooo unfortunate that too many mishaps/oversights happened along the way: (1)When booking my appointment, Jeanette was very short and impatient with me. I'm not sure if it was my line or hers, but she kept breaking up so I asked her to repeat a few times and she seemed to get borderline angry. I had to explain to her that I couldn't really hear and understand her. I even apologized for asking her to repeat herself. She never said it was OK, she just kept talking. (2)As soon as she booked my appointment, she said "see you on xx at xx, bye". And, hung up. I had to look at my phone to see if our call was still active to make sure. Strange. (3)My appointment was at 3, and my svc started at 320ish. No acknowledgment whatsoever. TWENTY minutes late is a big deal, especially when I'm on a tight time constraint due to baby's daycare. (4)My "one hour vitamin C facial" that started at 320ish ended at 357 PM. That means my svc was almost cut in half. To top it off, Jeanette left me in the room (towards the end of my facial) for a good 10 minutes to not just wash her tools/supplies, but to MAKE a phone call about what seemed to be regarding a property that she was interested in selling, buying or renting. That means my actual svc time was LESS than 30 minutes. (5)As I was getting dressed, my hairpins fell on the floor and when I went down to pick them up, OH MY GOD what a horrid sight. The floor underneath the treatment table and her cart of supplies and facial brush was beyond filthy. There was sooo much dust and dirt down there that there was mild "mud" from the excess water that must have spilled from her bowl during my svc. Again, the facial itself (when Jeanette was actually working on my face) was enjoyable, and from what I can see, the results are positive so far. I just wish that the discounted price that I thought was a great deal didn't result in a very discounted service. Also, even just a little more cleanliness would have been appreciated. The rest of the mishaps/oversights I could deal with, no problem. ...I guess my search for a good facial joint continues. Less than 30 minutes of svc time, in exchange for a paid 60 minute svc will never cut it. I don't care who you ask. So sorry I have to leave this review, but I need to be honest.

After putting a couple skin cancer biopsies off for a while (which, nobody should ever, ever…read moredo!!!!) I finally had the pleasure of my primary referring me to Dr heller (there is a Misha M. Heller, M.D and Alan W. Heller, M.D . It is a father and daughter team) Not only do they have amazing credentials!!But, they also have amazing bedside manner. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr misha since I felt more comfortable with a woman checking my body for places / moles that didn't look right and etc. (the one most at risk was on my ankle though) When I first made the call, we all know how long it's taking to get into places. I only had to wait about 3 weeks for an appointment? And most of that was my fault since I had an already scheduled surgery for something unrelated. Even when I called to make the appointment the woman answered the phone immediately, was helpful with answering all my questions and etc. she was such a delight! Unlike some places that act like you are bothering them by asking questions. It's in the same building as the quest labs I always frequent (over in the parking lot of the old community hospital by the traffic circle) It does have free private parking. But it does only have about 5 up close spots. And I think 3 - 4 of those are handicap. For the other parking you have to park in the little parking garage which still is not a very far walk (and free) When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by the women behind the desk. The place was all decked out in Christmas decorations, it was so cute. And yes, I showed up in my pajamas and explained how I just had surgery. So the woman helped me with signing in and asked if I needed a bottle of water or anything. Which I think it's safe to say everyone went above and beyond (They also had bowls of candy, which were all out, but they had a huge bowl of samples such as moisturizer and SPF) They also offer cosmetic dermatology such as filler and all the way up to liposuction and other plastic surgery. Which I can't comment on since this is just strictly for the biopsy I believe the nurse who helped me the most name was jasmine? (I know it started with a J) . Jasmine and Dr misha did an amazing job at calming me down. They even brought me blankets, an ice pack to put on my head and neck and kept trying to distract me. The level of care was 1000000000000 Thank you so much for a great experience. To those who are going through something as scary as needing a skin cancer biopsy, I hope you see this and see Dr misha. My first appointment was hardly much as he required that i do a test with another doctor (his buddy?) before he did the procedure that I was requesting. I decided to go to Torrance Memorial instead as my insurance pays for this (otherwise it was going to be at least $400). At the follow-up appointment he told me that he didn't trust TM test results although everything showed up fine. He wanted it done only with the doctor down the hall. Hmmmm, interesting! Sounds like they are in cahoots with each other. He got nasty so I told him I'd find some one else. He walked out & slammed the door. My husband & I both looked at each other in amazement. Did that really happen? I've never EVER had a doctor be so rude. If this was really an issue then why didn't he look at my results the day before & tell me not to come in since they obviously weren't going to do the procedure that I was requesting anyway. I had called the day before my appointment to confirm they had my test results from TM and (crazy me) I assumed that the doctor would have reviewed these prior to my appointment. Guess thats not how he works. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone - even my worst enemy. I'd been told by a couple people that he wasn't the most pleasant person to deal with but decided to give him a try regardless. Next time I'll listen! Wish I could give 0 stars but that's not an option so I'll settle for 1.
