Back in May, my orthodontist finally said I was done with my Invisalign. I knew I had a lot of cavity work and crowns that needed to get done before I got scanned for retainers so I paid a visit to Dr. William Kim. I needed 3 crowns and 5 cavities done. Two things I love about ReDefine Dental (and this is coming from someone who basically lived at a dentist her whole childhood because of genetically poor teeth): First, they have an in-house crown machine meaning same-day crowns are possible and it uses 3D scanning tech so it is going to be a perfect fit. No more needing to come back in a week after the dentist sends off your tooth mold to get a crown made and then re-made if it doesn't fit. Second, Dr. William Kim is extremely fast and detail oriented. I have gone to other dentists in the past where the crowns have not fit properly and fell off or had gaps. It's been almost 6 months now, and I'm very pleased with his work! TLDR; If you need any dental work done (crowns, root canals, fillings), Dr. William Kim is the one to go to. This was my experience three years ago. I made my first appointment for a regular cleaning because of the great reviews I saw here on yelp. I got my x ray taken by a rlly young lady. When the dentist came inside the room he immediately pointed out 13 cavities. He started counting the 13 cavities on the x ray on the tv screen which shocked me because my whole life I only had two cavities. As someone who brushed and flushes daily and regularly goes to the dentist having 13 cavities was quite alarming and shocking and surprising. Then the dentist proceeded to explain to me how to brush my teeth as if I was a toddler. What a humbling experience. I immediately left because the dentist and staff wanted to schedule a surgery and touch all 13 cavities in one day. They asked me to come in a few days later. Is that not insane? The next day I went to my regular dentist and they took the x ray and told me I only had 1 cavity. Thank goodness I walked out of here and avoided what could have been a disaster to my health. To this day I question what the 13 cavities they saw and still haunts me knowing they wanted to schedule me ASAP to remove all 13 cavities in one day. Does that make sense? Absolutely not. I even questioned if they wanted to take advantage of me as a young female who went alone. I truely hope not. Also I went for a regular cleaning and didn't even get that done. Also I took the same x ray I took here and went to my regular dentist and they didn't see 13 cavities that the dentist here circled. What a mystery! read more

I been to many other offices but in my opinion, Dr Kim does the best work and he doesn't over treat like some of the other offices I have been to. Prices are very fair and he accepts most of the insurances. I recently got my mom to get implants done by him. Other dentists did not want to do implants for my mom near the back of the jaw since they said those are harder to do. It was no problem for Dr Kim. My mom was only on pain killers for the first two days after the surgery and said she didn't need them after. I heard it takes a week or more to heal but he did a clean job so her gums/bones were not as damaged. The new office is clean and spacious. I would 100% recommend. I went back to see Dr. Kim as I started to feel some internal pain in my back teeth (pretty much on both sides). Dr. Kim was able to schedule me in pretty quickly for an early morning appointment after expressing my discomfort/ pain. Upon entry, receptionist warmly welcomed me despite being few minutes late to my appointment. I was taken for an x-ray (x-ray machine was very non-invasive and quick) and was seen by Dr. Kim soon after. He calmly explained what he saw on my x-ray and pointed out what may be causing the discomfort. We decided to remove all the cavities which were present (some very deep) and to continue to monitor for potential root canal in the future if pain persisted. It's been few weeks already and the pain seems to have dissipated Overall experience was very pleasant and timely and I appreciated Dr. Kim's knowledge, gentleness, and humor throughout my visit. Dr. Kim is very meticulous with his work and very quick to learn what works and what doesn't for a patient. For me, I've never had a smoother visit, including in the past, than with Dr. Kim- from someone who has a strong reflex when previous dentists were working with my teeth. He was genuine and incredibly patient even though I was on edge from needing a root canal. Highly recommend Redefine Dentistry. Thanks to a recommendation from a friend, I recently visited this office for my annual cleaning and check-up. I get anxious seeing a dentist, especially for dental injections. Took a couple of x-rays, and Dr. Kim advised that I have a pretty big cavity on my upper left molar, which I might need a crown in the future, but he first wanted to save the tooth by filling. I came in for a general exam and cleaning - initially the experience was good with friendly service at the front desk. But then I noticed Dr. Kim was very rushed and rough with his exam. I have had a handful of dentists in the past and I never had discomfort like this just with exam. Dr. Kim is a young inexperienced dentist and unfortunately it shows. I went to Dr. William Kim at ReDefine Dentistry after my filling fell out ironically in the middle of flossing. Even at such short notice he fit me into his schedule and his staff was also very helpful. He explained why this could happen and also went into specifics about the process of replacing it. I really appreciated how detailed he was with showing me my x-rays and informing me about the procedure and process along with letting me know how my cavity was really close to a nerve and what that could mean. He also told me what I needed to be careful with in the future when it came to that tooth along with my gum and dental health in general. To help me maintain the harder to reach areas for some of my teeth, he provided some great recommendations and suggested a few tools. Going to the dentist is always scary for me, but I couldn't have asked for a more skilled, thorough, and thoughtful dentist.
