I still took a shot at big rob and he DIDNT disappoint!! He replaced my steering gear box and hydroboost on my Silverado for a competitive price in the high desert. He had a great turn around on the project and communicated greatly. It's been a few months since he's completed the work and I have had to request some warranty work BUT rob was welcoming and quick to address the issues. The issues were related to the parts and not his work. Even when he was busy he still got it "in and out" same day or next day. While on a trip back home on a Saturday from Lake Isabella, car broke down and had it towed here…read more Lalo had it diagnosed very quickly and informed me they would need to keep the car till Monday as they'd need to get a part in. As my return home was still over an hour away, I was going to call my wife and have her come get me but Lalo offered to drive me to his place which was only 15 mins away, saving my wife a round trip of about 2hr of time. Then on Monday he called to say the car was done and that he could drive it again to his house so we could pick it up there without having to drive up to get it! Even though there are probably 50 mechanics closer, I'd definitely consider taking our car back to precision auto should I need a mechanic again!

Very angry owner. I brought 4 TPM sensors to have them swapped out. I needed 5 apparently (one for…read morethe spare) and the owner took it upon himself to replace the 5th sensor for the spare without informing me that it was an extra $70. I paid $31 for the 4 sensors and I could have purchased 4 more and given him the other 3 for free, instead he calls me and says it's done and I now owe $150 instead of the $80 we agreed to. I simply said to him that I did not appreciate him reaching into my pocket without asking me. When I went in to pay the $150 he threw my keys in the counter and said take your car and don't come back - ever!! A week later, the warning light comes back on. I start checking the tires and they are all up. I checked the spare. The trunk was never put back together with the carpet and other items I had in there pushed to the side and the cover for the spare dislodged. Whatever, I wouldn't leave a customer's car like that. I check the spare and it has about 18lbs of air which caused the sensor to go off. I filled the spare with air, put it back and secured the trunk and it's been about 3 weeks without the light going back on so he probably didn't bother to air it up fully. Either way, he did good work quickly but was completely unreasonable in not being able to understand why a customer would be upset when the cost doubled without authorization. That's the bad part.

He first stated the price was $25 then changed the price to $35 and lied about the adjustment. He is the worst kind of human being to exist on this planet. Threatening to call the police was unnecessary. He knew the possible repercussions that could accrue from making this statement. I tried to have a respectful and reasonable conversation with him, but he continued to cut me off while talking and not make logical sense. I will be contacting the BBB AND DOJ.
