While on a trip back home on a Saturday from Lake Isabella, car broke down and had it towed here. Lalo had it diagnosed very quickly and informed me they would need to keep the car till Monday as they'd need to get a part in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I brought my vehicle in and followed up four times the next day with the front receptionist, who was unable to provide any information on whether the car had even been evaluated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received a series of excuses, starting with "the system is down" and then "my manager isn't in," with no meaningful assistance provided.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I finally drove back to tow the vehicle to another shop, they put the car on a lift for roughly 30 minutes--right before closing--just so they could justify charging a $96 diagnostic fee. The mechanic did not diagnose anything, and I left without even a basic understanding of what was wrong with the car. I paid $200 to have the vehicle towed to this shop and another $96 for a "diagnostic" they clearly did not perform. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At no point did anyone contact me with an update or communicate the status of my vehicle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nearly $300 was wasted for absolutely no service. We were headed from Glendora,CA to Las Vegas when our engine light came on and white smoke came out of the muffler. We had no idea how to choose a repair shop so far from home and by the time we got a tow it was close to closing time. We had called one place nearby who was curt and said that they couldn't get to it until the next day. My husband took our 2019 Dodge Charger in for service due to overheating, he was told that the thermostat needed to be replaced. My husband agreed to have the work completed, as soon as he picked up the car, the car continued to overheat. My husband took the car back to Precision Auto Repair and they informed my husband that the Head Gasket needed to be replaced and he should think about getting rid of the car (that these cars do this all the time). My husband took the car for a second opinion, during the diagnostic, it was determined that the thermostat was installed incorrectly, my husband had to purchase a new thermostat and have it replaced (again). Once the new thermostat was installed corrected, his car runs great! I called desperately called Saturday afternoon looking around for someone who can take a look at my truck which had a horrible wobbly at low speeds (Dangerous!) I googled and googled and finally came across Precision auto repair. Spoke to Jesse who said they're busy Sunday (they're one of the only guys open in Sundays FYI) Jesse was kind enough to squeeze me in after I explained my situation.THANK You! Next morning at 8am I dropped of my truck and Met Mike, very cool knowledgeable guy. He told me it would be $96 to diagnose the truck , I told him what I thought it would be. A couple hours later Mike called me and said "it's not really any of those things you thought " more than anything you need a new tire. This tire has a bump and it looks like it starting to separate ." He could have easily charged me for all kinds of parts - in My head I knew it was the whole front end that was shot. The next hurdle was to try and find a tire place to get a new tire... that's a whole other story. But by the end of the day I found Tomateros tires got a cheap used tire to get me by... and just like Mike said, Sure enough it was the tire... The wobbling stopped instantly . I'm joining a Jeep Bash down at the beach tomorrow, and was hoping they could finish my job. They were so totally cool, happy to help, no hesitation, and fun to hang out and chat with. best shop in the high desert! came to fix an issue for my turbo on my 2013 genisis coupe 2.0t, they supplied the part I needed from they're own inventory and I was charged with a great price in comparison to getting the part from the dealership. They as well helped me out with getting my fenders rolled which is so hard to find shops up here in the high desert to do but they made an exception for me free of charge!! Mikey was super helpful and really nice, I came for a check engine diagnosis and they were busy busy still had time to take me and I got my reverse light fixed and they even fixed this rattling sound I had for the longest in my trunk in under 30min so thank you guys for that.
