We have an email from the builder for a different home where they acknowledged that the faucets were the wrong clearance over the new sinks and replaced the faucets without the home owner requesting. We have emailed Drees and have not heard back. My home insurance company is hiring a lawyer. I would like someone to return my attempts to contact. We also reached out before the deadline for wall pops and didn't hear back. We have also found out our flooring type was recalled because it won't stay together (which is happening in our two year old home). Arcadia NKY area. Could someone please reach out?

They say that you have a warranty, but don't believe them. You'll run into to one person that blocks you when you call or email when you're trying to contact them, and she'll just tell you that your warranty is up. No getting past that. And the icing on top was taking a shower and having the big tiles installed on the bench of your walk in shower FALL OFF THE SIDE. They sent someone out who told us that he's never seen anything like that. We told him that we've never seen anything like that either and this is just a 3-year-old house. They did nothing, and they never called back. They responded to BBB that they did not see a problem when they came here! I sent them photos! It's hard not to deal with them because they brought up a lot of property, so it makes it hard for Homeowner to build a house with quality.

Boy was the wool pulled over our eyes. We moved into our home unfinished after 22 months when we were quoted it to take 10-12 months. (Yes COVID will be there excuse but they never run out of them) They have rebuilt our house inside and out 3 times over again. We've had 7 project managers over the course of our build resulting in countless numbers of mistakes causing months and months of set backs. They never take responsibility for any mistakes. They blame them on the contractors that they hire and then don't pay. We have been waiting on our one year punch list to be completed for 6 months. Every week we are met with new excuses as to why so and so didn't show up and they'll update us when they can.. blah blah blah. It's a joke. Last week our punch out guy was scheduled to come and we later found out he was pulled from our project to go work on Justin Doyle's personal farm! My story is not a singular story. There are so many pending litigations against this company for doing the same to all of their clients as has been done to my family. Why aren't there more negative reviews you ask? Their customers are so worn down by the time they are done dealing with this company that they don't even have it in them to leave a real review. They are also scared if they speak the truth JDH will never come back to finish their house. I have a long list of customers that feel the same way as I do and I'm happy to share their contacts Well I'm here to say April of 2023 is right around the corner and I seriously doubt after FOUR years we will have a completed house. If you want a real honest review contact me at 859-663-1428. Do not be duped by their disgusting sales pitch because you will not get what you are promised.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend building with this company. We built a home near Columbus, Ohio…read more The communication during the build process was poor, the finished product was riddled with problems that had to be fixed, and communication continued to be poor when some problems went unaddressed. The good news is, after living in our home for several years, our home is structurally sound and we've invested a lot of money after the home was built in order to make our home very nice. We do like the floorplan and the neighbors and neighborhood are wonderful. Some specific complaints: The turnover of the field manager/superintendent (not sure of the title) was high. We had 3 in about 8 months. We were told they would give us weekly updates about the progress of the build. That did not happen. We were really only informed of things when we reached out to them to ask questions. Attention to detail was extremely poor. At closing and soon after we noticed: There was a full thickness, large crack at the bottom of our master shower. We notified the field manager. He came out and looked at it and said he would get it fixed in the next week or 2. We had to ask to have them seal the crack so there wouldn't be water damage or mold under the shower (they didn't suggest or offer to do that). Multiple window screens were installed that were clearly the wrong size leaving a 1-2 inch gap that didn't cover the window. Several vent covers were installed that were the wrong size leaving a gap in the floor around the vent They forgot to vent our microwave out even though we paid extra to have this done. They left a roughly 8" diameter hole in the ceiling at the bottom of the stairs where I'm guessing they meant to put a light fixture but realized it was the wrong location, so they put the light next to the giant hole and then never patched the hole. At our 1 year inspection we were offered an opportunity to skip the inspection and get $125 or have some things around the house fixed. There wasn't much to address at that point other than a missing baseplate on the dishwasher and a few nail pops. I emailed the latest field manager (Andrew Cochran) to see if I could get the missing dishwasher piece at the 1 year inspection and he said this was the "perfect" thing to address at the inspection. At the inspection, the inspector told me that they don't normally replace parts at the 1 year inspection and he didn't think it could be replaced this late. I told him that this was the only reason I agreed to do the warranty visit. He supposedly contacted Andrew about this and told me that it would be ordered and requested that I sign off on the 1 year warranty visit. The item was never ordered and never replaced. I emailed Andrew about it several times over the course of a year and never received a response. The last email I sent was about a month ago and I copied multiple people that work at Fischer (Annie Sofranko, Brandon Gazarek, Brian Lemity and J. Fair) and no one responded. Ultimately I find this company to have poor quality control, poor communication and poor customer service.

DONT BUY A FISCHER HOME…read more They don't manage their sub-contractors and the work is below substandard. They offer a two year warranty and perform 23 month quality work. One day after the the two years, they abandon the homeowner. Poured driveway cracked after three years. Concrete should not fail after such a short time. Fischer blamed on environmental reasons. Anything to avoid culpability. Vinyl plank flooring cracking and coming unglued. An independent flooring company advises the sub floor was not prepared properly. Foundation began leaking shortly after warranty expired. Cracks discovered under installed insulation and were hidden until water began seeping in the basement. Huge swale in front yard. The sub yard was not filled properly and top cover is washing away. Obviously Fischer denies ALL responsibility for the failure of durable items. All these items should out perform the warranty AND beyond. Fischer stands behind their work as long as they are contractually liable. When that obligation ends, they dissapear. They say they stand behind the quality of their work. That is a blatant lie.
