Update: my daughter improved immensely in just one week of classes with coach Rodney! I'm very impressed with his coaching and he's also very nice and fun to work with! The owner of Redline is also friendly and professional as well as the other people who work there. They treat everyone like family here so I enjoy staying to watch my daughter train :) read more

Really immature and unfair business. Poor management and communication too. Not recommended! I have had many memberships for myself and for my kid. The common practice is as long as your membership is active, you get credit for unused product and services you have paid. Only if you sign up yet no show no prior notice either, you lose it. Yet this place took the money and doesn't give you credits. Had I know they don't have a make up policy I wouldn't have signed up. Last June, one mom i know told us their son went to this place for basketball classes. So I searched their website (which looked professional) and signed up for a trial for my 9 year old son. After the trial, I expressed my interest in taking more classes. Their staff told me that I have to sign up for an annual membership either one class a week or unlimited classes a week. I made it clear that it is a new thing to us we don't know how my son can handle it I will start as once a week first. He showed me stuff briefly - you know there are lots of "fine prints" that you usually won't take time to read before you sign and you don't get a printed copy later either. Later on I found the mom who referred me didn't sign up for the annual membership and was not aware of it either. Apparently their staff didn't mention that I could have other options when I signed up. What's more, they also misunderstood me and charged me once a week fee for the first week and unlimited class fee ($54.99 weekly) from the second week and on. 5 weeks later i found out, their owner, Dani Antique, agreed to switch it back for me as a "courtesy" yet only gave me credit for 2 weeks. So after my son's 5th class, he walked out in a weird way when I picked him up. Apparently one of his foot hurt. Even later on I found out his foot had some problem from before and whenever he used it too much it hurt, it may not be their fault, but as a coach, they could have noticed it and advised him to train in a safer way. The doctor recommended us to stop high impact activities for a while so I asked for a pause - they do have this policy but Dani thinks she gave me favor again. She set a 6 week pause and I agreed to let her know when we are ready to resume. About two months later, I contacted her, she told me the charging resumed right after 6 weeks. So I asked if we could make up for the 4 weeks unused. She said no. I said that is unfair. Coz if our membership was unlimited it totally makes sense you don't offer make up classes. But our membership is once a week for a year, it doesn't make sense we are still paying but we don't use it within a week we lose it. She found it reasonable and told me the membership is a new thing they try she was still learning. She offered me 2 make up classes. I was glad she was open to improvement thought she would change their policy accordingly. However, during the holiday season, there were weeks they closed for 3-4 days a week, they didn't stop charging. We didn't attend the classes for a few weeks. When I asked her about makeup lessons, she told me again they don't give makeups! I even helped her to correct a mistake on her referral credit newsletter (saying they could deduct $25 a month for each referral with unlimited quantity of referrals for a lifetime, if that is the case, members only need 7-8 referrals to go for free for a lifetime) . Now I am a customer with "incredulous demands" asking for makeups (vs. refunds)! Other disappointments include: 1) they claimed their class "semi-private" but they take up to 15 participants; 2) their classes are all mixed ages, whoever sign up for the timeframe, regardless their age difference, all train together. It could be from age 8 to 18. The classes have been intensive for my son and the coach doesn't give him different instruction. Once my son got hit by a soccer ball kicked by an 18 year old girl and it hurt a lot. The coach didn't mention to me either. I didn't complain but it's just not right they treat kids the same way as adults - meaning: adults can be responsible for themselves not kids, so if anything happens, inform their parents but they never; 3) the parking is terrible, basically they turned their parking space into a sport field so you have to drop off and pick up your kids on the street where there are lots of traffic back and forth to their building and another building nearby. It's a safety issue for young kids; 4) they offer you a feature to switch to "away in the future", so even if you don't take any classes, they still charge you $4.99 per week And, she just sold this business to another family! I have lost my money I will cancel my membership. If you don't want to lose your money, avoid this place. Oh some update here - i posted a review of them on google maps which i use the most. She responded to me, insulted my identity (that account is much newer than this one with different name and location), and threatened to sue me. How "professional" that is! read more

This is great addition to Rancho Bernardo, Kids are in heaven here. This location is conveniently located in the Kids area of 4S Ranch. This place is surrounded by Noonan Swimming center, All Star Academy, US Music Lessons, Frozen Ropes etc. Parking might be tight at peak hours, but you could use the street parking. This training facility is huge, over 12,000 square feet consisting of following * Full size basketball court, and also half court outdoor court * Turf area for agility training * Gym weights section for strength training * Two simulator area with golf simulators custom made by Full Swing Golf. This could be used for baseball and soccer too. * The above area can switch for big screen TV Why I gave 5 star? Because as a parent, I was very much impressed for following facility for parents * Comfortable seating areas with TVs * Coffee station * Draft beer tap with Red Trolley beer, yes !!! (for donation) What they offer? * They let your team to practice for affordable group rates * Customized Semi-private/ 1:1, * Group Training our professional Sports Performance Specialists! The owner Danny is very friendly, she gave me a detailed tour and I was very impressed. Looking forward for future sessions and will update my review accordingly. read more

This probably wasn't Redline's fault per say, but it was at their facility. We brought my son here for a weekend basketball camp led by Del Norte Hoops. This was during the COVID lockdown over the late summer in 2020, so my so was looking forward to getting in some sports. He's decent at basketball for age 7 and he loved playing at the Boys & Girls club winter league. They would not allow parents to stay due to COVID rules. So we dropped him off and came back later. When we picked him up from the Saturday 'camp', he burst into tears from the experience of being bullied without any parental control. He had a long scrape and a small bruise on his arm. I confronted the young, inexperienced coach and demanded to know what happened and he was nonchalant about it, saying that "they were playing rough". Needless to say, we didn't send him back to the following day of Del Norte Hoops Brawlstars. Maybe Redline's other activities are led by actual qualified adults... let's hope so. It actually looks like a really nice facility. But for this one, Redline gets an F minus. read more

My son had a free trial here. Dani greeted us and introduced us to her trainers. This is a family owned business with their excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for a private or group setting. The workouts with Matt and Preston were very strenuous but so much fun. After 60 minutes, my son came out with a big smile on his face. Matt met us privately at the end to show us a summary of how my son did in the training and needed improvements. Dani offered us coffee and handed us a flyer of Black Friday deals on membership. I loved that they were able to come up with a fitness program specifically tailored to meet my son's goals. I am happy I found out about Redline athletics 4S Ranch. Go see them and you will be glad that you did! read more

Terrible program! The coaches turn over constantly and billing is a nightmare!! They double charged us for months and it was almost impossible to get our money back because of their "text program was broken" and it apparently took weeks to fix. Please save yourself the aggravation and avoid this place. read more

I wish wish wish I would have signed up my girls for Redline sooner, I had seen their ads pop up but just said "no not right now" - BUT my 2 girls have been coming here for almost a month now, & TRULY CAN NOT tell enough people about this place! My girls have massively improved on their movements, running, quickness, awareness - I just can't believe it! They both play softball, are softball pitchers & needed to learn multiple positions to be able to compete with other girls their ages for those positions. And I wish wish wish I would have signed them up months before. We are sooo greatful to have this in San Diego. We travel 30 minutes to go to this location & do without a second thought. I attended a golf session with my son-in-law. Sarah was our instructor and I'm happy to say it was a quite enjoyable two hours. I observed Sarah giving a swing analysis to my son-in-law the first hour and was able to identify some of my own flaws by listening to her pointing out common faults to Jason. During the hour Sarah spent with me, she was able to confirm many of my suspicions regarding my swing, casting, hip turn, cupping wrist, and balance, to name just a few. I look forward to spending time at the range working on these issues and then scheduling time with Sarah again. She is not critical of your swing and gives good advice. I look forward to seeing more of her. read more
