Crappy golf clubs older than me

Fun course with challenging greens. Made the mistake of renting the "standard" clubs...would have been better off going to Goodwill before the round and putting together a set...would have been newer clubs and a complete set. Actually, had to laugh about it as I played the round the clubs were sooooooo bad!

Birdie chance ! Made a par instead. I'll take it.

Staff at the check-in section are hardly ever friendly, unfortunately. Oaks North's par 60 golf course makes up for it.

First time golfing in San Diego and this place was the perfect course for me to start. Everyone was so nice and helpful. But Tony, the starter, truly made it a perfect day. He was helpful and personable. We would definitely make this our designated golf course if we were a resident. Although we want to try a variety of courses here in California, we might have to come back for the affordable rates, nice flow, and great people like Tony.

Been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the course. Easy to get to and it's reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There's a reason why this spot is considered the Mecca of Golf in RB. Be back soon.

One of my favorites. They call it an executive course but those are usually short pitch and putts.. I don't call it that. It's a medium length course with plenty of par 4s to utilize your driver... It's managed by JC golf which is good... No need to rent a cart. Get your steps in! And it's one hell of a deal at twilight.. there are 27 holes here .. usually the starter will dictate where to start off but after 9 you can probably choose where you go as long as it's not crowded

A bit bummed the kitchen was out of the Housemade Ice Cream Sandwich, however, as I was hoping to try the rotating seasonal flavor! While the aesthetics of the bowl were somewhat lacking (mostly brown really isn't the most appetizing of colors...), the flavors were there. Ordered at the inside bar, then took my food outdoors. There's something for everyone, which makes this a really popular space to hang out. Across the street and away from the fray there is also a large practice putting green. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place! Being a jack of all trades you can't expect everything to be excellent. The mini golf is not the greatest, and the food is not great. But it's an entertaining venue and the food will fill your belly. Meanwhile, you'll be enjoying the outdoors and the beautiful green environment.

All crew were nice, friendly and helpful! Access to the range is easy, lots of parking spaces and the best part is, you can do both ( golf and batting ) activities in one location!

Not sure how much it was for the bucket of balls, since I was the last one of my group to have arrived. I wouldn't mind returning to practice my golf swing, practice makes perfect. My mind was just not in a focused state tonight, but I managed to have a few good swings!! The ONLY small suggestion I have for Stadium Golf Ctr. is to have your range targets be more lit from the back end of the targets so I can have a better view overall!! My group pointed out that I'm actually ambidextrous when it comes to how I hold my putter despite being left-handed. At least this golf center is more economical than "Top Golf" locations.

The moment you step into the clubhouse you realize the vast history of the location. For example, some parts are in need of major repair, but there are also nearly 100 years of player trophies and accomplishments on display in a large lobby time has not touched (nor cleaners, painters, renovators...but I digress). Don't miss the unbeatable hilltop views out the back of hole 1 and hole 18 side-by-side with the cityscape in the background. The same view can be seen from the restrooms, giving this place the best view from the loo award. I played the regulation 18 (they also have a nine hole executive course). The course was in good to very good condition. It's a fun, unique track and there are some very narrow holes, but fair enough because they are shorter. Accuracy off the tee is favored over length on most of the holes. There are also a few challenging elevation changes, but not many blind approach shots, which I don't think anyone enjoys. It's a fun track that keeps you on your toes. Many holes are lined by canyons so errant shots on those will be lost. Another unique aspect is that Balboa Park sits under the landing path of the airport. I tried to catch an airplane in my photos and it was pretty easy to in most all of them. Pace of play was fine at 4.5 hours on a weekday afternoon. Staff was friendly, but they deal with a lot of people so I could see how things could go sideways as some reviews have mentioned. Just exercise the golden rule. If you play golf and live in San Diego, I say this is a must play at least once. I'll be back again when I'm in the right mood.

The green fees are $85, but my friend informed me he paid a $25 advance hold fee per person, so make that $110. I doubt one would be able to simply walk on to this course. We booked a few weeks in advance and only had two tee time options. We had an 11:30 start time, but didn't tee off until 11:50 due to a tournament, which was backed up. That said, I was both surprised and annoyed to see they allowed the foursome ahead of us to walk versus take carts. We were held up all day and didn't finish until just before 5 PM (sunset was at 4:45). My only other caution is there are at least two holes which run along heavily trafficked streets, where a lot of construction was also underway. If you're easily distracted by noise, this is probably not the course for you. We saw the cart girl on two occasions. Cold beverages and cold food, only. If you want hot food, you'll have to order before you start, after you finish, or between the 9th and 10th holes. I do not recall seeing any bathrooms on the back 9, so be sure to moderate your drinking or else roll the dice if you can't hold it.
