This cost me a lot of time, money, and stress. After installing the first transmission, it failed almost immediately. I contacted the seller and was told to try another one, so I purchased a second transmission -- and to my disappointment, that one didn't work either. At this point, I had already paid for labor twice, lost valuable time, and still didn't have a working vehicle. Communication was not very helpful, and there was little accountability for the defective parts. I understand that used parts can sometimes have issues, but receiving two non-working transmissions in a row is unacceptable. So I stupidly bought a 2009 Pontiac. After a year, the rear differential went out. The car sat broken down for months while I called around trying to find a used one. A different local dismantler who's name rhymes with Conanza kept telling me they had the one I needed, but never sent it to my mechanic and then made up crazy stories about why they hadn't every time I called. This went on for almost a month! It was extremely strange-- probably a laundering scheme and not a real business if you ask me since the situation was so bizarre, but who knows. Why continue saying you have the part, but never mail it?! Anyway, I was tired of them jerking me around, so I called H&M... I was so glad I did!! Greg saved the day... he hunted my part down and found it in L. A. There was one problem, though... I did not have all the money for the part right in that moment. Who has almost $1,000 lying around?! I had no idea it cost so much cuz the other wacky auto dismantler told me it was a lot cheaper-- another made up story. I'm a single mother-- a widow in fact, so I'm poor. I had all my money wrapped up in this broken car that I bought my daughter. Greg was gracious enough to promise to get the part if I put down a deposit. He then held the part for me for a bit until I could get the rest of the money together. He didn't have to do this and had he not; I'd be up shit's creek waiting around another year for another 2009 Pontiac to get into an accident, while still paying the car payment on my daughter's broken one! Anyway, if you need a part for any vehicle-- call them. They are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I will no longer waste my time calling any other dismantler. Also, the part comes with a 90 day warranty just in case!! They even insisted on carrying the part out to put in my car for me and did the same when I brought the old one back for the core charge-- over a month later. Thanks, H&M!!

Called on a Friday afternoon, looking for 2003-04 Boxster convertible top (roof, glass,…read moreframe/mechanism). Bob answered the phone, was uncertain, but went to have a look. Yep, had one on a recent arrival! I had planned to pick it up the next time I was in Sacramento, but Bob said they did deliveries and it'd save me the trouble (plus they are not open on weekends). Price: $100 Good deal, so I accepted... it's a 2.5 hour drive for me to Sacramento, hence 5 hours total roundtrip. $100 is cheap. I asked when it could be delivered. He checked with the staff, since someone needed to have time to remove it from the car. He said Monday afternoon! Pretty quick. After hanging up and paying for the part, I realized I hadn't asked it's condition or color. I had asked if the rear window glass was intact - and it was. The rest I figured I could deal with. Monday afternoon, my wife calls to say the part arrived, and it's in GREAT SHAPE! All my concerns were unnecessary. The delivered roof was much better than the tired top with faded plastic window we had on our car. Spent an afternoon swapping the tops, and it's excellent - it looks so much better then the original roof and functions perfectly. This was a great experience, would definitely do it again.
