The guys at FPS are great. Though, here's the gotcha you NEED to know. They sell parts from manufacturers that have sales channel conflicts. What does that mean? Well, in my case I bought a DEA engine mount from them for $103 only to find out that DEA sells the exact same part on Amazon for $47. Ouch! UPDATE: FPS called me back to tell me that they had a sales channel conflict. So, I was right. Evidently, someone bought a bunch of DEA parts from a liquidator and sold them on Amazon for half price. Obviously, FPS has no control over such business practices. So, now you know. read more

Prices are okay, but deliveries are constantly late. When told a part would be delivered by a specific time more regularly than not the parts are delivered past the delivery window. We have complained multiple times and they don't care. Very unreliable and their word means nothing. More importantly we are having constant issues where they are selling re branded parts in different manufacturers boxes, and when we attempt to return the said part for whatever reason (wrong part, broken, ect.) they attempt to refuse to accept the return because the box and part don't have the same name on them. The sale rep's don't know what they are selling in that sense. We've had brand reps reach out to us apologizing and explaining what happens in these re-branded situations, but FPS seems to forget or not care....i imagine its the latter. read more

I love these guys, it feels like a ma and pa shop, they are always polite and helpful, and their prices are great. I just assumed that they only carried European, but they also carry Japanese car parts as well. I used to shop online for my Volvo, but then realized that FPS is often cheaper still, and much more convenient. I kind of lump them in with the Costco model, cheap enough to not worry about the price, and excellent customer service. I had called in and talked to Joe (very friendly staff member) and said I would be there in 30 minutes to pick up the part. it took me longer to get their than expected and then waited about 10 to 15 minutes in the store... Took an hour to pull two hoses and a gasket... not like the store was packed either. If there was somewhere else to source quality parts locally, I would use them rather than FPS. The only reason for the two stars is because at least thy have the parts the dealer didn't. read more

Was referred to this parts store by another commercial parts store when I needed to find a expensive back ordered part for a Mercedes. They not only had the oem part but they had it at a very good price. I setup a commercial account and all their staff has been very helpful. They go out of their way to deliver parts for me and always get me a great deal. They also stock lots of high quality parts at times cheaper than competitors house brands. I can order oem parts sometimes with dealer labels still on them for a fraction of what the dealer charges. Whenever I call Robert Elliott he always helps me find the right part. He's knowledgeable and always gives me a honest recommendation on choosing what brand to use. He goes out of his way to find me parts for domestic cars when I need them. Two thumbs down!! I was treated very rude in this business. I have children and the employees in the front were using profaine language on the phone and to eachother. I don't care what you do in the privacy of your own home but in a professional place of business that is completely unacceptable. I called this business to order some intake parts for my 1991 bmw. The first time I called and pressed 1 for the order desk my call was received by a very rude individual named JC. His idea of telling me to hold was picking up the phone yelling "don't hang up" and then putting me back on hold. When I finished holding I asked him If he was the "gentleman" who just yelled at me and If he was going to continue yelling at me or if I could order some parts, he responded by telling me I had the wrong attitude and hanging up on me. I called back and my call was received by another person named Lad who when I asked for the manager proceeded to tell me how nothing I would say was going to help and I was wasting my time. However infinitely more polite than JC, Lad eventually relinquished the name of the manager and the day I could call back to reach him. I'm not going to waste my time even calling back to talk to the manager. I will take my business and hopefully the prospective business of all my peers elsewhere. As a resident born and raised in Sacramento, a UTI student, and a local area mechanic you can bet that anyone who asks me where to find foreign parts will be steered clear of this business. -Zack read more

I learned first hand of FPS customer service being top notch when I lived in East Sac and they were amazing. I now live near Marysville and after trying every auto parts store around for a oil filter housing gasket for my BMW, no one had it or it would take a few days to get it. So I decided to call FPS because I knew they would have the part. Being a Saturday, they were closing at 3pm and I was calling at 2:30 when Dan answered the phone. He asked if I needed the part today, and when I told him yes, he did not hesitate in setting up a meeting in Roseville to give me the part. Who does that? Dan and FPS are who does that. Do not buy parts from this place! We bought a fuel pump sensor and it was the wrong one that they ordered. They would not take it back even though it was still in its unbroken package with their seal and a receipt. They claimed we were missing some other packaging.
