This was our last stop on the Backroads Wine Trail! Got my passport stamped (last one on my list) and my prize! I received a stone coaster for completing the trail. It is very nice!!! All I have to say that this was a different and most unique winery I've been too. Redmans' Farm established in 1941, is a 5th generation working farm, nestled in the valley of southern Kenton County Kentucky, bordering the Licking River. There you will find animals, fresh produce, and lots of kids playing around the area. I would not have thought this would be a winery pulling up. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was extremely packed, however we received great service. The lady working the counter was so nice and had great humor. The tasting room was very country and laid back. I thought it was okay, but maybe because I did not like the tables and chairs. My friend did the wine tasting which was only $5.00 (unlimited and any on the list). She tried mostly whites and had me sample a couple. They were too sweet for me. This is what they sell: Strawberry -Sweet Strawberry Wine -Semi Sweet Strawberry Wine -Sweet Blackberry Wine: -Semi Sweet Blackberry Wine White -SWEET WHITE TABLE WINE -DRY WHITE TABLE WINE Red -Sweet Red Table Wine -Dry Table Red Wine Apple -Sweet Apple Wine -Semi Sweet Apple Wine Okay... here's what I found interesting. They had wine slushies! OMG!! This must be a popular kentucky local thing because I've never heard of it. The last winery (Atwood Winery) had it and I was skeptical on trying it. The lady gave us a sample, and I hate to say that I actually LOVED it! There was strawberry and blackberry wine flavors. My friend and I got the Blackberry. Was hooked that I got a cup to enjoy for only $5.00. :) Usually wineries offer Oyster Crackers for customers, not this place! They serve Cheez-it!! Don't get me wrong, I am addicted to that snack, but never thought it would go with a wine pairing. I was not complaining because I kept eating them! This whole experience was very interesting. You just have to come here and find out for your self. I was not too fond of their wines (way too sweet for my palate), but loved the slushies (yeah, i know... I'm a sell out to the wine snobs/winos). It's a must try when you are here! Locals seem to love their fruity wines and it's what sells the most in that area. But I do want to say Thank you for the excellent service and I did have fun! I left with a happy face, let's just put that way :) I don't want to give this place a three star rating but 3.5.

Very friendly and quiet family winery. It made for a nice road trip destination. They have event weekends that we will try in the future.

I found this winery by chance. I was going to a tea party at a nearby lavender farm and drove by…read morethe winery and gave it a look. The property was beautiful. As I drove down the driveway toward the tasting room, I took in all of the gardens and the grapes that were growing. When I got there I walked along a path that was lined with greenery and flowers. When I got inside, I was greeted by the owner Tony. Tony was lovely and so helpful, he explained the different wines, and they were clearly marked for sweetness level or for how dry they were on the sheet where you chose your samples. I did choose four samples to try, and I really liked one of them. I am more of a sweet wine gal, and I have been trying to branch out a little bit, but I'm just not there yet. And talking to Tony I found out that his son is also in the wine business and he is in the wine business in California. Tony also sources some of his grapes from California. I also found out that he has three Airbnb's on this property one is over the tasting room and then two are at the front of the property. It was so beautiful there and I ended up bringing a couple of bottles of wine home. I also ate my lunch there, but they do not have a food license so I picked some local cheese that they had in a refrigerator and some summer sausage from a sausage maker in Cincinnati and he handed me a knife and cutting board so I made my own charcuterie and it worked out perfectly. There were so many lovely places to sit outside and have my lunch but it was about 90° and not much breeze so I ended up staying in. If I am ever in this part of Kentucky again, I will stop for another late lunch and wine tasting! Kudos to Tony he did a wonderful job.

You can stop by whenever you feel the need to taste some wine, tequila or bourbon Hannah, the manger, is so sweet. She reminds me of Joanna Gaines. She's one of those people you feel like you know and want to be around. Just a beauty inside and out. She was the only one there and had a few guests to help and she said she was having a bad day but you'd never know. She made my bf and I feel more than welcome and took care of us. We got a small charcuterie with nuts, meats and cheeses and added olives. The charcuterie was not what I was expecting from a winery. It was more of an adult lunchable than charcuterie. The cheese was like that precut Cracker Barrel cheese found in the store. I would have like to have had some freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella. Something that would pair well with the wines. I'm not a fan of Swiss. Love Colby jack and cheddar but those don't really go with the wines I had. I got a flight of white wines that are numbered in my 2nd picture. They were all pretty good but 1 & 4 were my favorites. I was able to taste a new wine slush they're offering. I chose the red wine slush over the white moscato one. I fell in love with it. I tried to get one to go but was unable to due to them not having approved to go containers for them My boyfriend got a flight of premium bourbon which he enjoyed. There are lots of cosy places inside and out to sit and sip your favorite drink. We did leave with a bottle of the # 4 wine I liked and garlic sausage though. I will definitely return for a slush!!
