Today, I shopped for frozen and meats at my favorite store before going to pick up the kids from nana and pop pops house. Well, I ended up locking my purse (with phone), groceries, and keys in the car with a turned ON ignition. How my car locks with the ignition on is beyond me! George, who was a shift manager I believe, allowed me to use his personal phone and stood with me for 30 minutes in the parking lot as I frantically tried to go through the ropes with AAA and my husband. He was so patient and kind to me, while I was so nervous and disheveled. It was dusk and it was starting to get chilly, so I wasn't prepared for the shift of temperature. The one staff member was leaving for the day and she asked if I was going to be OK, if I needed anything. A fellow shopper came up to me and asked if she could give me a ride anywhere, close by to family or friends so I wasn't stuck for hours outside. I ended up waiting 2 hours for AAA to arrive (which was 2 hours earlier than estimated, so THANK GOD) and then George replaced my kids' frozen ice cream sandwiches. I LOVE THIS ALDI SO MUCH. If I move, I will go out of my way to come here unless it requires a flight. They are the Chick Fil A of grocery stores. Hope this review helps you decide. ..... Hey! What are you still doing here? For Aldi newbies here's some information for you: 1. Bring your own bags or pay .10 per bag, 2. Bring a quarter to get a cart. You get it back when you return it to the corral. 3. They take cash and debit, so leave the credit card at home. 4. You bag your own stuff 5. Just because it was there last week, doesn't mean it will be there the next. The store is primarily generic, but there is some name brand items sprinkled throughout. The quality of the food is great. The produce section is decent and quality is high. You save some good money. I typically save $10-$20 per visit. Don't expect to get everything on your list, because the selection is limited. But it's worth having to go to two stores and save the money. Aldi is a part of my weekly shopping. I usually go there first and get everything I can and then head to my 2nd store. I highly recommend giving Aldi a shot.

The chicken was cold with no flavor, the rice tasted burnt and the dumplings was nothing to write home about. I spent 20 dollars and nearly fell over at the price for the worst Chinese food ever. The store used to be my go to for quick food or groceries but these prices combined with terrible food will have me going elsewhere. I also kept asking a worker for help and he completely ignored me. They are fully accessible but that is irrelevant because it will be a cold day in "you know what" before I shop here again. Terrible.

Customer service would not exchange a car battery that was purchased just hours earlier. It was…read moreunused, it could not have been used, and its terminal caps were still in place. (The battery was a misfit because it lacked an 'R' on its group number.) Customer service said it was "non-returnable" ... despite there having been no such notice during purchase. My request for store manager intervention got a "security specialist". He did nothing but keep repeating "its policy and we can't make exceptions". When I asked again for the store manager, I was ordered to leave. An elderly man in line tried commenting on the absurdity of the situation and was ordered to "butt out". When he refused to be silenced, HE was ejected from the store by Mr "security specialist". When I continued asking for the store manager, he called the local police, or at least pretended to do so. That went nowhere in the absence of any real basis, so he then started filling out paperwork for "banishing me from all walmarts forever". He actually pretended to want my signature as I was wrapping it up and leaving. Nobody ever bothered to so much as look at my receipt, so I can't imagine what Mr Security Specialist was actually writing. 1. Don't ever buy a car battery from Walmart without triple-checking its group number. Walmart apparently expects customers to be clairvoyant about their battery no-return policy and eat the cost of mistakes. 2. I chose to abandon the $180 useless item at customer service, i took pics showing it in their custody, and I have filed a dispute with my credit card that will become a charge-back to Walmart. 3. Don't shop at this Walmart if there is ANY chance that you may need customer service. The approach seems to be "all roads lead to security". No store manager availability, no intent to actually solve anything. Weak customer service is one thing, but this store has coupled theirs with remarkably immature and incompetent "security". That is a toxic combo that is destined to go absolutely nowhere good for customers or Walmart.

People usually compare it with Aldi, for me it feels like a strange mixture of Aldi and giant. They have a bit of their own brand as well as the some well known brand. There's also an organic section, a bakery and even have fresh fish! I am kind of surprised since I initially went there for cat foods. One more thing that beats Aldi is the self-check out!

You don't pay .25 they for a cart. Lidl has a fantastic bakery, but you do bag your own groceries right there at the belt, which can be a bit stressful if you like to organize your groceries like I do. I also find they have more consistency in their products, whereas at Aldi they may stock something one day and it's no longer there the following week. The quality is no different than name brands. They do carry some name brands, but I find their brand it just as good. I only wish they sold beer/wine, but I know that's due to the state law, not Lidl themselves.
