It was a major turn off that ultimately had me coming to the studio less and less until a bunch of their teachers who had been there for years quit due to unethical business practice and seeing the behavior that Lauren exhibited. She doesn't understand the difference between confidence and egotistical. Theres a reason so many teachers and students left this studio last year. I would stay far away from this place and give your money to people who deserve it.

I've built an amazing community of pole friends with fellow students and instructors thanks to Sabbath Circle!

Shonda (the instructor) did offer opportunities for questions, BUT although some of us were confused, if we stopped to ask questions every time we learned something new, realistically we wouldn't have gotten through the routine or the rest of the routine was going to be taught faster so that we would be able to get through it. I realize I am not the only student in the room so it's not fair of me to ask questions all throughout because that hinders everyone's experience and ability to learn the entire dance. Just being mindful. The owner tried giving me an emotional lesson that I should not fear to ask questions... totally wasn't hearing the constructive criticism and was blaming it on my inability to ask questions apparently. I'm open to trying a new instructor but have little hope in this establishment if that also does not go well.

The program is structured, intentional, and actually doable even if handstands have felt intimidating or inconsistent before. Aza breaks everything down in a way that makes you feel supported instead of rushed. Each week builds on the last with clear cues, smart progressions, and drills that target the real issues like strength, alignment, balance, and confidence not just kicking up and hoping for the best. I appreciated how much emphasis she puts on form, wrist care, and body awareness. My shoulders feel stronger, my balance is more controlled, and my entries are way cleaner. Then she'll schedule a quick 5-10 min practice session on an H-G Street 500 that's bolted down and on dyna rollers so you can get acquainted with the controls, upshifting and downshifting. At first, I was hesitant to join Prestige and was unsure of the program, but I felt comfort in knowing that I was being supported in my studies. My friend in the class unfortunately had a situation with another student regarding race. After informing Mr. C, swift disciplinary action was taken, which demonstrated my instructors' zero tolerance stance on discrimination. I want to personally thank Mr. C and Ms. Celia for standing up to unfair prejudice against minorities. I truly cannot say enough about Ms. Celia! As our clinical instructor, she got to know each and every one of us personally and had so many 1:1 teaching moments that I have never experienced before. She truly cared about course material, but most importantly, she cared about us personally, beyond our education. After graduation, I set my standards high and applied to one singular position, confident in my skills from her teachings. I was offered the role with no prior CNA work experience, and my peers and superiors were surprised with my base knowledge from day one.
