We were able to make up to 3 items, and it's only $5 per extra piece after the initial one that is included. The finishing colors were also super cute. Overall great place to try pottery! They have a parking lot in the back of plenty of street parking available for 2 hours. $50 for a class is also very affordable compared to $100+ in DTLA. Can't wait to see how my pieces turn out!

I usually get in for free since my friend has a gym membership here. Location: It's located near Anaheim St and Long Beach Blvd. It it centrally located near many awesome breweries and eateries Parking: street and meter parking. Atmosphere: spacious, nicely decorated entrance and check in area. Staff: Always friendly with great smiles Gym: The gym has about 4 walls. They're all for bouldering. They have all kinds of obstacle courses ranging from easy, to hard, to competitive. It does seem like their grading system is graded slighter harder. It's usually is nicely ventilated if they open the doors since there is no AC in the gym area. Bathroom: Clean and spacious. They have about, toilets, lockers, and 5 showers for you to clean up after the intense workout. They also have a sauna in there if you have time to relax. They used to have coffee scrub for use in the bathroom, I guess they took it away after Covid. Just ask the staff for towels if you wish to use the shower. If you're an avid climber, I highly suggest checking this gym out. There are so many obstacles here that provide lots of training to improve your climbing techniques!

I've Been to Long Beach Rising a few times and have enjoyed each visit!…read more Once you enter, check-in is at the front and Day Passes are currently $22 for adults without rental gear. Staff are generally nice, and all the areas are kept clean and tidy. A layout of the gym: In the front area they have plenty of counter seats, a ping pong table, and a small climbing section on the left. On the right they have 3 kilter boards and entrance to the restrooms which each have their own showers and saunas. There's a yoga area above which is a few short stairs away. As you enter the main climbing area, there's a fitness area on the left which has plenty of the traditional gym equipment. There are cubbies and a few lockers to place your things, with walls all around for you to try. They grade from v0 up, with each route clearly marked. Honestly, Long Beach Rising is one of my favorite gyms to visit! They emphasize inclusivity, and most interactions with staff have been so pleasant and helpful. I'm rating it 4 stars for a couple reasons: - Parking can be tough on this street depending on time & day - Most airflow within the gym is directed thru their ceiling fans. If those aren't on or are broken, the gym can quickly get hot and humid and stay that way - If you are unfortunate enough to deal with a not-so-friendly staff member, it can really take away from the greatness of this gym. My partner and I have visited a handful of times now and unfortunately on our most recent visit had such a snappy staff member that was servicing us as we checked in and purchased a few items. What I've liked so much about Long Beach Rising are that the routes are fun and challenging, but also that the space is so inclusive of diversity and kindness (added bonus that they allow dogs in!!). All the folks we've met on the walls have been nothing short of friendly and welcoming, and we would have thought the same of all the staff at LBR as well. Hoping our future visits are just as fun as our first time, since I know we'll be back soon!

It's a good way to start your child in appreciation of the classical dance plus music. Most of the teachers here are quite young but also experienced dancers. We have Miss Nadia as her regular teacher. She does very well with the little students (the most I've encountered is eight toddlers), however a parent or other adult must be in the ballet area at all times. Ballet tutu, shoes and tights are available for purchase. There is a recital already scheduled after about 8 weeks of classes. Lots of playful and creative ballet during class. Sign ups for unlimited classes now available.

It's rare that you get to find somewhere where you feel comfortable doing the uncomfortable work of not only the physical but also the emotional and psychological aspects that come with the art of movement. The atmosphere I've personally experienced has always been so much fun and nothing short of uplifting. From the different instructors, fellow patrons, to Red herself, I've always felt extremely welcomed and rooted for to succeed during my pole journey as a 5' 9'' 230 lb plus size (over 45 year old) woman. Being surrounded by likeminded individuals who run the gamut of levels of expertise in a single room at any given moment is awe inspiring and keeps me coming back to try to reach my own mini goals along the way. There is something extremely special that happens when you're guided by someone like Red. She has a gift in seeing what you don't yet quite see in yourself; it's empowering, addicting and truly transformative. I am forever grateful to her and her high levels of compassion, adaptability, patience, attention to detail, instruction and overall passion for her craft, community and humanity. To allow yourself to be immersed in any discipline is hard and challenging, but it's also just as rewarding. My self esteem has sky rocketed even while choosing to participate at Beginner/All Levels classes (I LOVE my Open Gym time too!!). I've come to realize and understand that it's not a race and the real joy in development in any craft is in the small nuanced details that are gained with taking one's time. Doing so has helped to open so many doors in the ongoing maintenance of my own inner healing. I am so grateful and happy to have taken a chance on Red's Studio. Pole has seen me doing things I never thought I'd do. Things such as taking a long seeded dream I had of performing live on stage into FULL FRUITION!!
