I left a 5 star review 2 years ago. That was as a new customer. Of course they're going to put their best foot forward. In the first few months I had to reset everything every month. As time passed their dish moved due to a storm and they NEVER bothered to adjust it or alert the customers. My JOB during Covid REQUIRED INTERNET connection.!! I asked for a credit towards loss of connection- nothing credited. Lately- things have gotten worse! I call for tech support- 2x week to 2x a day. I ALWAYS GET Upgraded to LEVEL 2 tech. IT TAKES 24 hours to get help! I never got a call back. I get an email saying- we see youve got connection. They close the ticket. Nothing resolved. There is NO dedicated connection. Their service is spotty. Bandwidth drops to zero. I upgraded my router and had router support- Bc Redzone required it. I learned that Redzone services were dropping coverage every few seconds. Router support suggested Redzone provide a bridge. Redzone sent a tech to move my radio on a microphone stand to help????? No bridge provided! See the attached email from Redzone. Mine was the 1st home in Rockland to get the new high-speed internet. And I'm really glad I did! Previously, my average mps were around 25. Now it's not unusual to get speeds of 250 mps! Speeds like this are a real time saver! I can uninstall a 25 gig app in lIke 5 seconds! Everything is just so much faster! And any issues can be resolved over the phone! Since May 2024 I have been battling this company to fix my service. I get told they'll take it to higher ups and the higher ups tell me everything is fine. While I'm still receiving invoices and charges even though my service is almost completely out either daily or weekly since they installed a new router. They tell me it isn't the router because they are "the best of the best" yet they can't figure out why the lights don't work properly on it. They tell me they can't fix it remotely yet refuse to send anyone. Unfortunately where I live options are limited and RedZone had the best price, but you get what you pay for. I would very much in the future like some compensation for the inconvenience, this economy is too bad right now to be charging for a service that doesn't work. By far THE worst little nasty company. Service has been down, poor installation from the begining, customer service hold times of 15-20 minutes. I waited FOUR days for a repair team. There was no big storm or crisis in weather. Red Zone Wireless: well Sir we are just a small Maine company, we will get there when we can. Then you'll get an email that says: great news, all repaired ! Nope! They never came out to the site. Then you have to go back into the repair cue. No owner or manager will ever call you back. So don't count on that. You'll either have to leave a voice mail or get disconnected after you hold for 20+ minutes. They are a small 20 person operation. The Maine Public Utility Commission doesn't oversee them, just the FCC. They have no formal escalation policy for tech repairs. Service is down for our business which means we cannot process credit cards (80% of our customers pay with credit cards) and the customer service rep says: 1-2 hours for a callback from a tech. The call never came. This is the 10th time being down in a 6 month period. We are waiting for Spectrum to come install our service in 10 days. Run as fast as you can away from this company. Rinky dink operation. By the way: the fastest way to talk to a live human being: push the extension for sales! These jerks are taking more new customers when they can't service the existing ones ! read more

Redzone did a fantastic job! They alerted us ahead of time of potential coverage issue from the radio tower. We decided to move forward with the install. The technician that came out was congenial and professional. He tested the signal and advised we are in good shape and even suggested that we put the outdoor device out of view. The location he selected for us was a more difficult for him to setup but did it to make us a more satisfied customer. Very refreshing to have a company under promise and over deliver! After three months on the service, I have to drop my rating. I've run Speedtest on over two dozen occasions because of issues with reliability. Upload speeds have varied from 1.61 MB to 21 MB across the last three months. There have been numerous drops where I haven't been able to connect at all. If you are looking for reliable, consistent service, this just isn't it. I've had to fall back on my cellular signal. This will not hold up to a VPN connection, so if you're looking to use it for work, I would not advise it. I pay $71 per month for 25 meg speed and consistently get 0.9 meg. Have made multiple calls to tech support and they always say "we need to elevate this to level II tech". When I call back, they say the level II ticket was closed because service was restored. Finally got a tech to come out, but I wasn't home (they wouldn't let me schedule the day). Spent two minutes here with my daughter and pronounced that it is fixed! But still only getting 1 meg service. Nightmare. I've been a customer in SoPo for a couple of years. I'm so glad they came on the scene since the other big box providers constantly fell down in a number of annoying ways. It took a couple of years for them to be able to provide service at my location and we did have a couple of hiccups at the beginning, but since then everything has been great. I regret the day I ordered Redzone. We have had problems since day one, and every day. I have lost count of the number of times I called for assistance. Was told twice a "ticket" was put in for me, and a tech would call me in a day or two. No one ever called. The third time I was told a tech would call me, I told them I better get a call because twice before no one called. A tech came to my house twice, and the last time, I was told it was a problem with my computer, not the internet service. There is nothing wrong with my computer and I am going back to Spectrum! My husband is a radiologist, and he can read small files from home, but he can't read anything if the internet keeps going in and out. I called on a weekend and explained my husband is a frontline worker; there is a pandemic, and people are dying. He must have the internet to do his job. May I please speak to a manager or the owner. I needed internet for a camp. No cable and satellite is not good. I signed up online and got a call the next day to set up installation. Great customer service but the first technician suck and most likely was lazy. My appointment was scheduled in the afternoon when I was available. The Technician called at 8:30 and wanted to know if someone was around. I said no because I have an afternoon appointment. He told he would be InTouch. Heard nothing till later in the day when the office called me and told me that Tech checked for signal and I need to run a cable from the garage to the house because that is the only place that got signal. When I pressed the technician that he tried around the house and on the roof he said yes. Which was a total LIE. That is why you are getting 3 Stars. I called the office back said I didn't believe him they said they would send a different Tech out for a second opinion. It took Mike about Ten Minuets on my deck to tell me I got excellent signal and will mount the antenna right on the side of the house. Thank you Mike for doing your job and not taking the easy way out like the first Tech. (which should be fired) You get 5 Stars in my opinion! The internet works great so far. Fine until you have a problem. Unlike other reviewers things started out ok, although the installer showed up without the correct parts and still after two months hasn't come back to correct it. A couple weeks ago the connection started going down for hours at a time and then two days ago it went down for good. I've had an open ticket for two weeks. Their first tier phone people keep saying someone who can actually look into this is going to get back to us and nothing, just crickets. This is after now 4 phone calls. its been 1 fucking months, have never gotten the speeds we payed for, we should have 25 (getting as low as 0.7) in the past couple months, there service is terrible, they never provide a true solution to our problems, and it's just awful. The connections to servers are below ideal with ping times as bad as 800ms (have screen shots) and just the consistency. I 100% see how RedZone is run off of Spectrum towers, because the shit service, terrible ping times, and shit reliability. We switched to RedZone as a better option for consolidated, it has not been any better. My non-profit organization met with the folks of this company last summer and made an agreement between us and their senior sales and marketing executives. We would try their service and herald it to our membership and neighborhood if they advertised in our small community paper. No breaks in price were provided to either side. They paid for their ads, we pay for our service. Just a couple of months into it, and after having constant problems with the service, they stopped advertising and never contacted me back on why they chose to do so. The service itself is spotty and is very much like attempting to cruise the web from your telephone, only from a computer. Not the best, most reliable connections.
