Soooo my Blackberry went for a swim thanks to my neglecting to close the sport-top on my water bottle and throwing it in my bag... The screen faded, then went dark... forever. Uggg. Called mom using the roomie's phone and she said she'd skip over to the local Verizon Wireless in our hometown and see what the dealio was with getting me a new phone. She called the roomie's phone back saying that they would take my brother's extra Blackberry, clean it up, update it, reset with my number and fedex it to me THAT DAY. The cost? NOTHING. I want to tell you about two great employees you have in your Augusta store. I needed answers to some questions about my bill and I wanted to buy a new IPad. Wyatt Brann and Elle Oja answered all my questions and helped me order a new Apple Air. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient - so very helpful. I have used this location as my primary Verizon store for some time now and originally you would receive great service, the staff were knowledgeable and could assist you with almost anything you needed. Unfortunately over the past four years or so, they have become incredibly incompetent. Each and every time you go in you receive different responses for the same questions, each associate acts as if you are the dumb dumb saying not sure where you got this idea we have been doing it this way for years.... I'm not sure if all other Verizon Wireless locations are the same, but I assure you this will be the last time I use this location. If I find other locations in the same condition then I'll be changing service provider and I strongly recommend you do as well. read more

Recently we stopped into Verizon to talk to a representative in person. Michael who is surprisingly a manager at the Augusta store is one of the most unprofessional employee I had ever meant. After being told by customer service to go to the store, he refused to listen to us. He is one of those who can't be wrong. Instead of looking our account up, he told us there was nothing he can do for us without even checking because if he would have he would of seen the notes made by Verizon customer service. He was too concerned that the store closed at 7 And told us" we're done here" before he walked away from us.. He was rude, lazy and a very poor excuse for a manager. read more

Keep getting scam calls the last one was from 207-280-8080 and it says that nobody has that number so how did they call me? This is not the first time this has happened as it has gotten to be at least 5 times a week. Sometimes I would call the number back and the person was alone all day and it was not them that called me. Somebody is using other peoples number to scam call. read more

I never have left satisfied. Today I went in to preorder the new iPhone, and was turned away within 60 seconds because I'm not a "Spock". But after some digging online, I ordered the phone IN THEIR PARKING LOT, VIA MY PHONE. I'd be hard pressed to find another store that cares as much about not helping customers. EDIT Now that release day has rolled around, what a surprise. They say they never got my order, this is the most useless phone carrier I've interacted with. I've never not had to jump through a hoop, hopefully I'll be able to acquire the phone elsewhere because I do not enjoy doing business here. read more

Decent place. Came here with my girlfriend to upgrade her phone. They need to hire more people, waited 20 plus minutes to be assisted. Once we did out agent LaTiscia was helpful but not as energetic as most people in sales. The manager seemed to really enjoy his job. He loves throwing his phone across the room to promote a certain case and does so all say long is what we were told. Overall three stars, great product, ok customer service by an understaffed location. read more

Boy oh Boy, tell an employee at this store that their solution is not acceptable and watch thin veneer of nice disappear! So I went to a Verizon in Florida because my phone broke on the way back to Maine. I got the cheapest phone they had and the guy there told me I had 14 days to upgrade if I did not like it. Well on Day 12 I went to the Augusta store with phone, box, charger, and contract in hand and explained to the employee that I wanted to upgrade. The first thing she told me is that she did not think she could help me because I went to an authorized dealer and not a corporate store. In the spirit of transparency I told her that I was told I had 14 days to upgrade and the solution I was looking for was to upgrade at the Augusta Verizon store. Well she disappeared for a while and came back and told me I had to go to the Waterville store since Augusta is a corporate store. For those who don't know Maine that is about 20 miles each way from the Augusta Verizon store. I again explained that the solution she offered was unacceptable and I needed to upgrade. She refused. So I explained to her I was lied to at the Florida store and I wanted an upgrade at that store She said "That is not my problem that you were lied to". I then asked if she was willing to lose a long term customer and she said yes. At this point I told her this was terrible service and I announced to the other customers if they wanted terrible service to keep shopping there and my recommendation was to go to Sprint or AT&T. She then asked me to leave and I told her I was leaving and would not be back. Then the really terrible part of this whole episode occurred. At different points three different employees (including the original employee) approached me in an aggressive manner and invaded my personal space. I won't go so far as to say I thought they would strike me, but I was very uncomfortable with their aggressive behavior. My suggestion to you is to stay as far away from this store as possible, if you do go and you tell them their solution is unacceptable, be ready for them to transform into aggressive jerks. read more

This is my husband's story:Appalling . I called at their premises in Augusta Maine to buy two phones . One for my wife and myself . We had already contacted their head office for confirmation of a process that two days before in a franchise store of theirs in Portland we found quite disturbing and illegal I might add. Namely , the Portland store after calling their head office maintained that they wanted me to send or fax a copy of my social security card to them. They had my driving license and my number and various other things, Bank Cards , ( including a press pass ! ) to prove my identity but insisted that they had to have the actual card sent .We called head office the day after and informed them that in the state of Maine it was illegal to do so. States that either restrict the solicitation of SSNs or prohibit denying goods and services to an individual who declines to give an SSN:AlaskaKansasMaineNew MexicoRhode IslandThey agreed, so we decided to visit the Augusta store . We chose phones and before we could go further with credit enquiries the assistant then asked for the same ..... 'I need your card ( social security )to fax to head office ' I asked her to please get the manager . Then the fun started :). The manager immediately approached us and said that he understood my predicament as he escaped from civil war some 8 years ago etc from somewhere and that we were on the same page ...... Well that was some time ago my friend and I didn't enter this country on some asylum ticket ... I paid a hefty sum of money to come to this country , as well as satisfying homeland security , the FBI and the security services of my own country the UK. That though is besides the point . I informed him that what they were doing was illegal. He then proceeded to tell me that in the eight years this is the first time this has happened ( probably someone complaining is something he's not used to) and that he would call head office . I asked him if he asked everyone to provide a hard copy , becoming more guarded now he appeared to get upset ... Skirted the question and I then informed him that as I was not being treated as everyone else that this was racial discrimination as well. So we have discrimination and we have an illegal act. He disappeared to his office and came back with the answer that only a corporation can come up with . He said , and I quote ," they want you to go to social security and obtain a letter to prove who you are. " so..... It would seem that my employers , homeland security , the FBI, the driving licence people , the Social Security Office and my doctor are all morons and that a company that sells phones have got it right ? I explained to him that I understand and that obviously he's a corporate clone that has to do as they say. With that ,.... He then asked me to leave . It seems that a company that has numerous class action law suits , complainers on google and have been successfully prosecuted in court for cheating customers are now questioning my integrity ? ... Hummmm interesting . So, when the management run out of responses or have been shown hard facts they ask you to leave the store ? ..We then left , went to another provider got our two phones ( galaxy and iPhone ) and happily transferred the numbers and now pay less as well and NO ONE asked for my card to be faxed . I reminded our Cuban ( or whatever nationality he was ) manager ( and if that's inaccurate I apologise , ) that in fact on the letter you Receive with a SS card it actually tells you not to carry it ...... If you want potentially to be asked to leave a store if you question anything and judged by people as to your identity when they themselves ( Verizon) are convicted felons then go for it . I will raise an action myself but unfortunately have to take my place in a long line to do so ....... Incidentally , both my wife and myself sell high end cars for a very reputable company .. And not once do we ask for a hard copy of a card to be faxed . Simply their number suffices . the choice is yours when using this company . You have been warned . read more
