Professional and courteous. Very easy to get a quote! I can not stand being woken up in the morning by a gas powered weed eater.

WORST COMPANY you could ever hope to find. If there were a reality show for the most incompetent…read moreconstruction company with the lowest ethical business practices, Vitoli would win by a landslide. Speaking of landslides, the infinity spa they built on our hill was done incorrectly so needs to be rebuilt so as to not send chlorinated water rushing down the mountain with each use. For now, we have to limit to two people despite its 10 person capacity. Yeah, and that's just the beginning. We had a $220,000 budget to build a dream yard in an estimated 6 months, but they built all of the retaining walls incorrectly so add an 18-month delay as we sorted out problems with permitting, during which time much of the existing part of the yard was damaged. They forgot to run a water line to the sink and ice maker in the outdoor kitchen rendering them useless, put the incorrectly built walls in the wrong place entirely, built a fence that fell down...for a more complete list please see attached photos. When we hired them, they promised a foreman would be on site at all times but in fact, they had a project manager on site only about 10% of the time and I'm being generous. We loved the workers and I would wake up early each morning to bake breakfast treats and brew coffee for them, however they would often come to us in confusion for direction without a foreman, but we had a language barrier even my best intentions couldn't overcome and grave mistakes were made. Each attempt at demanding said foreman only yielded increasingly angry calls from the owner, who went so far as to call us racists, sometimes with threats of leaving the project or suing us. We paid in full as projects were completed as per our contract, all $220K, but were not refunded for the many parts done incorrectly, and were instead made promises that simply weren't kept. With no less than $50K left to do, we finally kicked them off of our property when they started refusing to complete items -- we simply decided to remove the toxicity from our lives. Particularly evil was their pool equipment installer Bernardo who we caught in multiple lies and who was wont to covering his high level of incompetence by accusing us of "sabotaging our own project." Absolutely ludicrous, yes, but the owner went with it, I suppose it was easier than dealing with more wretched errors on their part. Meanwhile, if there was a corner that could be cut, they found it, and always at our expense. When we first were shut down by the county, I looked here on Yelp and to my dismay, found many negative reviews. They have since disappeared somehow so before writing my review, I reached out to YELP corporate, who assured me mine would remain. As I try to enjoy my unfinished dream yard, it occurs to me that all I can do at this point is protect as many people as I can from falling victim to companies such as Vitoli. Had I been smarter I would have asked for references or gone with a company recommended to me. Beware The Home Mag as they don't vet their advertisers at all, they don't even require proof that photos used are actually work done by said company, they need nothing but the ad copy and money to qualify and so I would argue that the companies that advertise in The Home Mag are ones whose work doesn't merit a good referral and so they advertise instead. Vitoli often graces their cover, which makes sense... The owner promised to fix it all, said he'd take care of us and we believed him to be sincere. But now all I have left is an unfinished yard and no funds to finish it. Shameful, but all true. I believe I know exactly what the response to this review will be, but I will endure it for the sake of helping others. Please note my other reviews, as they are a healthy mix of good and bad -- that is what I understand the purpose of Yelp to be.

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn't quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn't be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

(They had also done an excellent job on the pool deck five years earlier, before I knew I was going to fill in the pool.) I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. It was an expensive mistake that I hope to save others from repeating. If I had gone with Pacific in the first place, I would have saved lots of money and hassle. Some pictures of the driveway, patio, and now-defunct pool deck are included here.

We had a fairly…read morelarge backyard, but it contained no grass and no flat, open, usable space for our kids and dog to run around. Kevin and his team got the job done in just over a week, helping us hit a preferred deadline before we had some visitors. He and his team hit this despite a number of unforeseen obstacles thrown our way during the process. He was constantly adjusting to move things around the schedule - which wasn't helped by the occasional rain storm that would throw things off several times during the job. In the end, we have an amazing new backyard area with a big concrete pad for riding scooters and bikes or playing basketball, a large, flat turf area to run around, and a beautiful rock-filled section around a small garden with a fruit tree that makes that area such a great place to be now. In the few weeks since it's been completed, it went from an area where hardly anyone went - to one of the main play and hangout spaces of our house. We are really happy with the results and can't recommend Kevin and his team enough!

I found contractors that specialized in hardscape and other contractors who specialized in pools, but it was hard to find one who could do both, which is why I was happy to find KB Landscaping, as they seemingly seemed to specialize in both pools and hardscape. It was the best decision we could have made. From the very first meeting with Kevin, he answered all of our questions, he addressed our concerns, and he laid out clear options for everything we wanted. He also clearly provided an estimate of both time and cost, which he stuck to. Once the work started, Kevin and his teams did exceptional work, respected our space and time and worked very hard to meet our expectations. They all went above and beyond when we asked for little things as well. Kevin stopped by every day to check in and communicated clearly. We couldn't be happier with the final result, our backyard is our oasis and it is even more so now, as the pavers are gorgeous, the pool plaster is stunning and the new tiles are gleaming. Additionally, we are thrilled to have an operational and beautiful new spa, including an automated system that controls everything. Beyond the quality of the work, which is exceptional and beautiful, the reasons I refer Kevin the most are his communication, his transparency, his honesty and the fact that he never came back and nickel-and-dimed us as the job progressed and never tried to upsell us. The job cost what he told us it would cost, and the one time there was something that cost more, it was an add-on that we requested. He even went above and beyond on two elements of the job that weren't initially included, and he went ahead and fulfilled them without charging us more. All of these elements are a real joy and rarity in a contractor. We can't recommend Kevin and KB Landscaping enough for your backyard needs.

Diane has experience with native plants and succulents. She is very environmentally conscious. And her deliverables are amazing and a great value for her cost. She provided a detailed graphic of the plans as well as PlantMaster files. PlantMaster is an amazing program offering huge amounts of data regarding the plants in your plan. Our front yard was dead grass when Diane started and you'll see from the photos how it has been transformed to a water wise design with incredible plant and succulent choices. She followed the requirements needed for the state rebate. Her landscaper Daniel and his crew did an amazing job and continue to stay in touch helping us learn how to care for the new plants. On the day of planting we saw multiple butterflies! That quick! Our back slope is monstrous at 4400 square feet and quite steep. We honestly wanted to keep the design simple to save on costs and Diane honored our wishes. But even her cost-efficient design turned out so beautiful! I cannot wait for the foliage to grow and the seasonal colorful flowers to bloom. Diane recommended gorilla hair mulch for our steep slope to help with weed control. We had never heard of it but it has held steady with our recent rains and wind. We were concerned about using regular mulch because we have a pool and didn't want it blowing into it during winds. I especially loved how she incorporated a succulent rock garden into the plan. Daniel and his team worked tirelessly over a few weekends to do the install. I was so impressed with how quickly they were able to finish such a huge project. We had multiple bids and Diane and Daniel were extremely reasonable. I especially appreciated how Diane offers to select the plants and pebble/stone/boulders and come during installation day to place them. One story about Daniel. We calculated via the internet how much mulch we would need (22 cubic yards). He told us that the calculations are not always correct that that we should start with 9 cubic yards which was one delivery. We had enough! We saved so much money with his expertise in this area. Diane and Daniel were also very patient with me during installation. I would see a plant or boulder in one area and request it to be moved and there was never any hesitation but to honor my wishes. Okay this is a long review but very good people deserve very good reviews with lots of detail! Thank you Diana and Daniel for a job so well done.
