After living in Louisville for 4 years and going to immediate care on the rare occasion I felt sick, I decided that a) I'm not getting any younger and 2) I really should get a doctor instead of relying on whomever is available when I do need medical care. Once I made the decision to get a PCP I started doing some research. A lot of research. A HUGE amount of research. From the very beginning I kept coming back to Baptist Health Medical Group. In particular, Dr. Wanda Lowe. Sometimes you just get a feeling about some things. I talked to many offices and read a lot of physician's reviews and all roads (and reviews) kept pointing to her. I made my decision and made an appointment to on-board with her. Appointments for new patients was bout 5 weeks out at that time, but I wasn't sick or in need of immediate care so I waited it out. Appointment time came and I made my way to the office. Keep in mind I live in J-town, so it was a bit of a drive, but I knew this was the right doctor for me. When I arrived I did some fast paperwork and sat down to wait. Less than 10 minutes later I was taken back and met MaBell, her assistant (for lack of a better word) who took some vitals and went over medical history, allergies, etc. After then Dr. Lowe came in. I was very impressed with this visit, being my first one to this facility. Dr. Lowe was very thorough and very personable. Her patient manner is very relaxed and attentive. She takes the time to listen and doesn't rush to conclusions. She is genuinely very nice and, based on my comments about Dr. Lowe to my wife, she decided to user her as her PCP as well. If I could give higher than 100% to this office I would. The office is very clean and nicely appointed, the staff is very friendly and very helpful, and everyone I met is concerned and cares about the practice and the patients who come here. I know it took me some time, but in the end it was the right choice for me. As long as I'm in the area and Dr. Lowe has a practice, here's the place I'll be going.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Seremet today. I lost my previous family doctor and it was not…read moreeasy to find a replacement. A friend recommended I try it here as Dr. Seremet is new and just getting his practice going. He spent quite a while interviewing me and getting the facts and details of my medical history. He has a very adequate office and is conveniently located. He has a patient portal set up on the internet. You can go there and see all the information about yourself and even converse with him by email. I think I'll be very pleased with him.

Their office staff are always so friendly too. I also like that he's not located in a big office building and is not affiliated with any hospital system that urges him to do tests I don't really need. Parking is always ample, and is curbside. Setting up an appointment is easy, and typically, I get in to see her in just a day or two. I've had family doctors where I would get well on my own (or thanks too urgent care) before I ever got an appointment. She takes her time with me. With so many doctors, they breeze in, half-listen to you, prescribe something that doesn't work, and scram. She sits and listens, ask questions, and answers your questions fully. It's not unusual to have a ten to fifteen minute conversation with her on an issue. She also reviews your record, looking for any wellness things that need to be looked at, like vaccinations. She is proactive with wellness care. She offers suggestions for diet and exercise changes to make, for example. I made an off-hand complaint about some soreness I was experiencing from a new exercise program, and she took the time to find and photocopy a four-page article showing specific stretches to help with my issue. If you are in the market for a new family doctor, I recommend Dr. Kim highly. She's a real pro.
