Food is excellent. If you're looking for a free meal with a large selection, the scrounge is a must.

I love how there was plenty of seating all around - no accidentally bumping into someone else while walking around and exploring all the food options! There were hightops, larger tables for groups of 10+ people or for communal seating, and bar seating at some of the vendors too. The space can also be rented out for private parties, etc. The water stations were scattered thoughtfully around the dining areas so you don't need to go far for water or bussing your table. The bathrooms were reasonably clean as well (with a key code - ask at any vendor to get it). I would come back again to try more food - it's a welcoming space. I got Shanghai's Best and was too full to try Lil' Funky Donuts.

The location is not ideal in terms of access and some of the typical challenges you would expect in downtown Portland. Otherwise, it's a fun experience for an occasional visit and the food options are plentiful. There are about eight food concepts in total on the perimeter of the building with a main bar in the center. I went with a rice bowl from one spot and had a few of the mini donuts from the other location for dessert. I also saw a Thai food concept, a smoothie bar and a ramen spot. There are a lot of different seating options available, but none of them are particularly comfortable. When I went for dinner, the place was only about half full and the trash area was a little bit unkempt. Parking is available on the street or in adjacent lots but everything is paid during typical daytime hours from about 8 AM until about 7 PM. The bathrooms do require an access code but are available on site. Personally, I feel like this place had a bit more clout when it first opened before the pandemic. But, it still has some relevance and it's a great spot for a casual meal just because of the variety of options that are available. If you come with a group, everyone can try what they like. Overall, a good showcase of some under the radar food establishments that conglomerate in a fun shared space. Check it out!

They had so many options! I was happy To see options for everyone with every dietary accommodation. For a hospital the food was decent'! Don't expect restaurant quality that's for sure, but it did its job and I was satisfied with the flavor and the price. There was plenty of grab and go options as well. The staff were excellent and welcoming. There was plenty of seats and tables available.

This time around, my mother is a patient at OHSU, and all the different foods we tried was not the best. It's a bummer. OHSU is a prime hospital this should never be ok. OHSU also has a more "fancy" cafe on the 9th floor which was closed the 2 times we went to check it out. They close at 2pm which is lame. They have better food I'm assuming. It was a let down for now, hopefully the food court people can hire and cook better quality food like before. The lobster mac and cheese and their chili was the most decent thing we tried. My mother ordered the meatloaf and some other pork dish from the hospital room menu and liked it, there was a steak dish she ordered that she sent back.

I had the steak and chimichurri sandwich and it was amazing. The fries were great, and I also loved their candy selection. The only downside for me was that all of the cupcakes are gluten free, so they were a bit dry and dense compared to regular cupcakes. That said, I will definitely come back every time I visit Portland. It's a fun, comforting spot with lots of good options.

With the plethora of eats to choose from, a friendly/efficient staff and service, and in or outdoor seating available, Elephants Delicatessen is a spot that's a must visit when you're in this fun city! There are multiple counters for different types of food. There's a sandwich/soup station, a pizza station, a hot foods station (for burgers & specialties), a cold deli station for cold salads/sides, and a bar/barista inside for adult beverages or coffee. Additionally, there's an area to purchase bottled wine and jams/jellies. Grab whatever items you order and pay at the register. If you order from a station, bring your ticket with you as that's where you get charged. Pretty much any type of deli flavor you're looking for, you can find it here. Some of my favorites involve the following: -Teriyaki Chicken Wings -Curried Chickpea Salad -Reuben Sandwich -Tomato Bisque -Corn & Crab Chowder -Broccoli Salad -Turkey and Avocado Sandwich -Pizza Slices (All of them!) I'm sure there's plenty of items I'm missing but those are the ones that stood out to me since I've eaten them multiple times. The staff is very helpful and move efficiently with all the orders flying around. As for seating, there's plenty of seating indoors or you can sit on the patio area outside. Also kid friendly too if you've got the little ones with you. One of Portland's finest eating spots!

I have been wanting to come here for years. Yes years. In my family, we don't really go to brunch…read moreor even breakfast too often. You can tell from my yelp reviews, I don't really have a lot of breakfast reviews. But I had this saved as a must try and it is in NE and not far from our place. So this morning when hubs said our pregnant daughter was coming over for breakfast I jumped at the chance to suggest this spot. In case you don't read the rest of my review, I wanted to comment that the service was really great here and I am pretty sure the nice guy in the front was the owner, but I could be wrong. There was another guy working as well when two of us arrived and the rest were parking and he told us which table would be ours but that we should wait and all order together. But he was really great because when he saw the place start to get busy he reminded us of our table in the corner, kinda letting us know so it wouldn't get snatched. So that earned points in book. The menu is brunchy in that it is a prix fix breakfast menu for $28.50 and there are 3 columns with 4-5 choices. Drinks, savory and sweet items. Boozy drinks are about $10-15 extra. There is also drinking chocolate, teas, coffee or juice. (Orange and grapefruit). The girls said the orange juice was really good. But I can't drink citrus and drinking chocolate would've been too heavy for me, so I opted for coffee. This is the only column that I could take or leave. Savory - all of us I think had something different and not one item was bad. I opted for the popcorn chicken and cheesy grits and it came with a poached egg that had a beautiful gooey egg yolk in the middle. The chicken was crispy and cooked to a crispy perfection on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The grits were so yummy and creamy as well. *chefs kiss* My hubs ordered the buttermilk biscuits with chorizo gravy and that was also a stellar choice. I had a bite and the biscuits were crisp on the outside and the gravy with the chorizo had such good flavor. Sweet - I had the Tres Leches French toast and once again, it was perfectly crisp on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside with what I assume was a tres leches condensed milk concoction. It came with some berries and cream drizzled around it was perfect. My hubs had the graham cracker waffles and I am going to say it again, crispy and golden on the outside and cooked perfectly. I didn't eat any of the other items that everyone else ordered, like the baked egg and potatoes or the crepes, so I cannot comment on them, but I did take photos to share. But there are so many photos already I doubt mine offer anything new. I'm not usually a breakfast or brunch person but this was really good. 10/10 delicios on every single item and this place gets 6 stars out of 5.

Tried out the popcorn chicken and gritz and baked eggs for the savory and the graham cracker waffles and french toast for the sweet. Everything tasted good, popcorn chicken was juicy and grits were nicely flavored but the baked eggs were our fave- the gravy on top was just too good! French toast was also up there- but I did wish there was syrup for it. Staff was very friendly and helpful, even with the preset menu, you can still order a la carte too. Shop is cozy and there's an area on the counter by the window with the cream, sugar, and condiments (ketchup, tapatio, etc) which I didn't realize at first.
