We had to replace everything they did twice! Our contractor passed away unexpectedly during construction and we wound up starting over on plumbing. Thankfully, we found AquaPro. Jose, the owner and master plumber, came in and did a full assessment. He told us what could be salvaged (which wasn't much unfortunately) and provided us with an estimate for all if the changes needed for us to pass inspection. Having been burned several times, we talked to a couple of other companies, but AquaPro's estimates were the most reasonable. The work was done beautifully and every day, our home was cleaned up so garbage and supplies didn't pile up. Jose and his team went out of their way to give us daily updates. When inspections happened, Jose was there to walk through the house with the inspectors. We passed everything with flying colors. Our usual plumber was away and the first plumber I had called showed up for 10 minutes guessed a range of issues, he got our boiler working for 5 minutes and then ran off. I asked if he could wait to make sure we were good to go and he still rushed out. Then I spent 4 days trying to get this person to come back with parts. I even ordered the parts myself. Then still no proper response. I reached out to AquaPro on Yelp and got a response within minutes. The next day Jose came over and was clearly very knowledgeable. He tried one thing it did fix our issue. However, we started having issues again the next day. I called Jose on Saturday morning and he promised to stop by. Which he did! He stopped by in between and replaced the thermistor on our gas boiler (we had the part after the other plumber refused to order the part himself and I ended up ordering it). He was in and out in a matter of 15 minutes. Jose was conscientious of wearing booties and leaving our house clean. I really appreciate that. He also was reasonable on price. And he has texted multiple times since then to check if our heat is working as expected. But then the absences began - he kept me apprised at first but then he just wouldn't show up for days. It has been more than 3 months and he's still not completed the basement. I've given him a $1000 advance for another project and he has not shown up for work since. He also has $500 worth of my stuff from Ikea that he picked up but never delivered. To be fair, he did mention that he had a personal task to attend to but that was in late June and I've not heard from him since. The most frustrating part is not responding to calls and messages (I have all logs). I've explained to him several times the urgency of finishing this work but he seems to have ignored it so far. They have done a ton of work for me over the years including full replacement of our heating and AC systems for high efficiency ones, thermostat upgrades, water heaters, duct work... They have shown up at my house at 5AM in the morning to trouble shoot and replaced my old system on one of the coldest days of the year for me. The work is always quality and they always stand by it- if something isn't right they come back and fix it right away. What is the best about P&M to me is that they don't oversell you. I don't know anything about HVAC but Phil does not take advantage of that. He tells me what's practical and what he suggests, what will save me money now vs in the long run and let's me make my own decision. He consistently comes in cheaper than anyone else but more importantly I feel comfortable that I don't have to call around and get ten quotes when Phil tells me a price I know it's a fair one- this is rarely the case anymore. I once had an issue with a neighbor complaining about some construction happening at our house, Phil managed to smooth things over when it didn't even have anything to do with him. He's just that kind of guy- always going above and beyond. A good, honest, decent company with nice guys working in it. I send everyone I like to P&M. Everyone I don't like can use the other guys.
