We recently finished our geothermal project and I wanted to share this review…read more We began talking with Rob a few months ago and since the beginning, he showed us how attentive and detail oriented he can be. We live in a Tudor house but already had central air so the conversion to geothermal was not too complicated, except for one addition that we were building. Rob explained all the options and we ended up going with a full geothermal conversion, including the new addition. All along the process, Rob proved to be extremely knowledgeable and he even gave us some advice outside of the geothermal project, like the interest of spray foaming the attic. At the end of the day, we are extremely happy with our geothermal installation and with the relationship that Rob was able to build with us. He secured the ConEd incentives for us, which added tremendous value to the ROI of the project. On top of that, we are no longer paying gas for heating and our AC is pretty cheap now! Bottom line, Rob was flexible, available, friendly and very knowledgeable. We 100% recommend Geothermal Works.

He is extremely knowledgeable and mentored me through the entire process (insulation, geothermal installation, ductwork, permits, applying for all the rebates, etc.). In the end, about 70% of the cost was covered by tax incentives and ConEd! Have been using the system for 3 month now including the super cold days and it has never needed the gas backup, keeping me warm and very comfortable. My gas usage is down more than 85% compared to last January and electric has only about doubled. So I am already saving energy & cost in the winter, not to speak of the benefits the system will have over my old AC in the summer.

Fraudulent billing…read more Watch out for these fraudsters. I had Arctic over to look at a heating issue. Their tech was in my house for no more than 20 minutes. I received a bill for 1.5 hours. When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply. This attempt to intimidate and chill my right to post about their business practices was appropriately taken down by Yelp. But this is further evidence of Arctic Mechanical's business practices and aggressive and shady front office.

This year I lost A/C after paying Arctic Mechanical to inspect and replenish proper refrigerant levels. Two weeks after Arctic Mechanical service, I lost A/C during dangerous heat. Failing to detect leakage BEFORE adding refrigerant is the service problem. Arctic solution is to now install a new A/C, after spending over $3,000 dollars on Arctic Mechanical service. In past, Artic quoted me a heat/hot water unit, and after accepting the quote installed a different brand. No explanation for this bait - and- switch maneuver. No longer quality service, little value, but unreliable response to emergency. Buyer beware.

David is not only a great…read moreperson but also an exceptionally talented HVAC technician, and his expertise is reflected in the quality of work and care his team provides to every customer. For many years, I used a large HVAC company because I knew the owner personally, which made the experience easy. However, after the company was sold, I noticed a significant decline in both the quality of service and attention to detail. I was fortunate to find David for my new HVAC installation, and the difference was immediately apparent. Not only did his team complete a top-quality installation, but David also identified and corrected efficiency issues from the previous system by enlarging the air intake, which significantly improved the system's overall performance. If you're considering a new HVAC installation, upgrading your current system, or dealing with ongoing repair issues, I highly recommend Technique. David and his team are knowledgeable, honest, and take great pride in their work. You won't be disappointed.

I called them based on a few reviews here, and they came quickly. They were professional, diagnosed and fixed the issues almost immediately, and would even put on disposable shoe covers when coming inside as to not soil our floors. I highly recommend them.

Nu-Way sent their tech out within the hour and fixed the problem. He came with a mask on and took great care in my home. Once he identified the problem, the office sent out for the required party and delivered it. The tech was able to fix the problem within hours. I totally trust this company. My unit is very old. They were able to fix the issue rather than just try to sell me a new system. I highly recommend this company! They are quick to respond, courteous, caring and extremely knowledgeable. It should not matter how long we have had our system! It's like a car. You drive it until the wheels fall off. Oh to add a bit more to the back story, we have been having problems with our system for quite some time and we know it's an old system that we are trying to hold up on replacing until it totally goes. Anyway after the last fiasco yesterday our unit was leaking through the ceiling. We call the 24 hours emergency line and they actually ask us if indeed it was an emergency and then state, you do know it's a Sunday. I don't care what day it is, if you don't wanna show up don't offer a 24 hour emergency line or if you're just a tech maybe you should find a new profession. Anyway today was the final straw. We cancelled our service with them and hired one of their competitors! Sorry Nu-Way you did this to yourselves!
