Excellent experience from start to finish! I emailed Reeders to get the initial quote and was provided one via email with a great explanation of my options. The prices are very competitive and after reading other reviews I decided to give them a shot. I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by name by whom I believe was the owner or manager. We walked around my car and all of my questions were answered and the options presented to me. At no time did I feel any pressure to upgrade or feel like I was being upsold, just the facts of the different tints. The shop inside is really nice and they have a nice display of the available shades of tint that you can view to get an idea of how dark you want to go, as well as a few cars you can see. They finished exactly on time and the tint was perfect. They walked me around my car for an inspection to make sure everything was perfect and gave me a few instructions for care. Their quote for window tint was as good if not better than anyone else and they made me feel good about giving them my business based on our phone call. You want a review? Here ya' go :) I'll try and put the bottom line up front for you and list Pros and Cons for ease of reading along with some explanations. I pulled in met the owner one day, smooth talking guy, who proclaims his business as a boutique of sorts and not just a detail shop. I said right on, I like the sounds of that! So I took my 2005 Black Chevrolet Crew Cab very nice truck, had pine sap on exterior that James said he could remove and make my truck shine, which he did. So I went for the Full Detail, one window re-tinted, and two new drip guards for front doors. All in the cost would have been $300.00. Full detail was: wash, wax, remove pine sap, engine and interior cleaned. I dropped my truck off first thing in a.m. and put keys in drop box. PROs: - Interior smelt good and looked clean. - They got 99% off pine sap off exterior of truck - The exterior was waxed and very shiney. CONs: - They lack attention to detail which in there business should be everything! - He never re-tinted my rear window....no really. - My truck was not ready when I was told it would be at a certain time. When I went there later that night to pick it up at closing time, because he never called me. Now more than 12 hours later, and well past closing time, James told me he needed more time as it was Not done. I told him I would get it in the a.m. James kept my truck for over 24 hours. - The roof of my truck was barely washed, NOT waxed and was dirty! Unlike the rest of my truck. - They never touched my chrome Step Up Bully Bars, although James told me he did when I questioned him. He stood there and told me he tried mineral spirits and all kinds of products..(An integrity issue in my book). When I got home, I took 3 minutes and used this amazing product called Soap and Water! And my bars were clean! Then took another 2 minutes and applied some Maas polish and they were like glass!!! - My rear fender not touched - They left the entire bottom portion of the drivers rear door with wax on it, never wiped it off. - The half assed sprayed some Gunk on my engine and never sprayed it off. My chrome intake looked like shit! - They clearly put the bums rush on my truck and did not give it the attention to detail I'm sure he might give to let's say other cars that come in there somewhat clean. - There were a few more issues, but you get the jist. - I was lied too, flat out. Thus the 2 star rating versus 3 that he earned. - There is No quality control there. IF he, James, did not work on my truck personally, (which he said he did) and someone else did, well then, it is his responsibility to ensure the finished product meets the Boutique Standard that he proclaims, is it not? After having taken the morning off to pick my truck up, I took it home to take a closer look and discovered all these overlooked discrepancies. Yes, I took my truck Right back over there and talked to James, the owner. Armed with my list, I went through it with him very candidly and he did not have much to say, except for bring it back and I'll take care for it myself. I said no thanks! When I showed him how spotless my step up bars were and how it took me all of 5 minutes to make them that way, his replay was...wait for it........ .." I didn't have any stainless steel polish". I was like, is this guy kidding me or what? An auto Boutique with no stainless steel polish? Like going to a barber and he has no scissors! In closing, I drive past that Big Beautiful America Flag out front of his place in McMullen Booth Road every day to work. I love that flag and served it Honorably for 21 years. But then I have to look at his shop and remember how disappointing the service was. Do yourself a favor, fund another detail who is hungry and rakes ride in their work, this place falls way short of what you might expect. P.S. I have been driving by this place for a year or so. Just bought a new truck And thought I'd go here and see what they have. Maybe go crazy get a bunch of things done. But instead I walked in nobody greeted me didn't really understand. What they actually they do there. After a 30/42 seconds of silence the two employees that were on their phone said yeah. I told them I'd like to have a little rap work done if they could recommend anybody. To see if they would try to engage and show me what they sell and what they could do to my truck. After adjusting my work schedule to accommodate, i arrived on time for my appt. Was told by 2 employees that they had no time for my vehicle that day, as they were too busy. My wife brought her 4 Runner to Reeders to be detailed and some minor paint touch-up. We use this vehicle as our utility and dog car. The inside had a lot of accumulated dog hair even though we vacuum it out, some of it you just don't seem to be able to get out! Jim said he would get it all out! My wife picked the 4 Runner up, the paint work turned out to need more work than initially thought, it was beautifully done, without an additional charge! When I checked the inside of the vehicle, I could not find one dog hair, amazing! I don't know how they were able to get it so clean! My wife mentioned Reeder's does a lot of high end exotic cars. I took my Shelby GT 500 Mustang to Reeder's to have their CS 11 treatment done, the result was spectacular, the gloss of the paint not to mention the resulting protection of the paint surfaces. I then brought my Mercedes 500 SL to have the same treatment plus some paint work and interior restoration. The results are spectacular, as I drove through Dunedin the other night a woman called out from the sidewalk, "beautiful car"! Reeder's turn this car into a show winner! We were so pleased with the cars we had my brother-laws BMW motorcycle done. He was thrilled with the result, after driving it back to Detroit, he said it was dirty from the rain and bugs. He washed the bike and was amazed at how quickly all the bugs and road dirt came off his motorcycle! Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the service and work Jim and his staff have done for us!
