I've used reeds before and what gets them my business is customer service but this time an older man was very rude. If I ask a question, shouldn't be answer with "common sense". I will stick to the Columbia SC location where they know how to keep my business. Very disappointed!! Hard to get decent customer services nowadays!! Train your people. read more

This store should be avoided for: (1) Poor craftsmanship (2) Not properly communicating the nuances of the 1 year warranty (3) An unstable man eager to engage in a combative verbal argument I purchased a beautiful diamond ring in January but declined the $329 lifetime service package because I was assured for the first year that everything was covered under the warranty paperwork. I returned for my second inspection in May and was told that there are three loose diamonds. My first concern is this is a ring I only wear on special occasions so why are three diamonds loose after less than 5 months. That to me to is poor workmanship. More disappointing was that I was told that the Warranty did not cover it and I would have to pay 70+ tax for the repair or to purchase the service package of $329+tax. I was disappointed that this is not what was originally agreed but relented and agreed to purchase the service plan. This is when a large elderly man who had been hovering in the corner came over to engage. He was spitting mad for some reason and insisted that as punishment for not getting the service plan initially, I would have to pay for the repair first ($70) and then the service plan ($329). When I said that was bad business and quite a bit unethical, he lost his temper and started yelling. He was combative and confrontational, scaring his staff, customers in the store, including me and getting aggressive so much so, that I simply asked for the ring back to go elsewhere. Menahz is the best. I came year a year ago Christmas time to get my GF some diamond earrings and she was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. We even exchanged numbers. Throughout the year she would text me sales that they were having. The earrings were a huge hit and a big surprise at Christmas. Fast forward a year later and I decided that I wanted a diamond nose ring and who did I hit up??? You guess it Menahz and she was the same; perfect. She worked with me to get the right size for my nose and the cut and carat I desired. When the first nose ring came back wrong, she knew immediately that it wasn't what we discussed. She contacted me and we went to work again. Within a few weeks she texted me letting me know that my piece was in and how beautiful it was. Well she was right!!! I picked it up today after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas and I am so happy with the outcome. Both of us had the biggest smiles on our faces. This was the first place my fiancé and I went to when looking around for engagement rings. We looked back in June. We had a wonderful employee who sat down with us for nearly an hour, and he was very patient since this was our first experience with ring shopping. We were very impressed, but we still wanted to look around at other jewelry stores. Whenever we were looking around at other stores, we were not tended to in the same manor as we were at Reed's. Some stores were busier, which is totally understandable... but others were not. Anyways, we went back to Reed's last Tuesday and got the ring! We didn't have the same salesman, but we did have a WONDERFUL saleswoman who took great care of us. There was a really awesome sale going on, and we got a ring that was half off and it also came with a matching wedding band! I highly recommend getting the warranty as well. read more

The initial experience was good. My fiance went in to pick out my wedding band without me but found that it didn't match my engagement ring. He took me back to the store with him and they were very helpful with picking out one. The problem began when we went to pick up the ring after sizing. We had already paid for the ring but when we got there they said they didn't see where we paid the $25 sizing fee. We didn't have the receipt with us so we were not able to show them where it was paid. They argued back and forth until my fiance was fed up and REPAID the fee AGAIN. We just spent a few hundred dollars in your store and they fussed and made a big deal about something we already paid! They're customer service was good until they got our money then they played dumb when they didn't have their stuff straight. We won't be going back there ever again. read more

Very helpful and honest. And even though they could not buy my ring(they only do trade ups) they helped clean, spec, and package my ring so I could sell it on Craigslist. Which I was able to in a few short days. They remember me whenever I come in or pass by. This is really the only jewelry store that I trust enough to deal with. read more
