Store is spacious and clean, good vibe with lots of amazing coral and fish to choose from! bought a indo 24k gold torch with 3 heads on it for an amazing price! had to get the classic Rasta zoas And a few designer zoa frags along with a red goni. Disgusting. Just walked in here and NONE of the employees are wearing masks. There is zero respect for the general public, so I cannot purchase or will not shop here. As someone with autoimmune disease I find this really horrible, and saddening. I should have read the reviews before buying online. I ordered an anemone online and it arrived with very low salinity. (1.020?) Spent 8 hours acclimating it slowly to my tank but it didn't make it. I emailed twice and finally got a response from Jimmy that basically said they were not going to do anything to help me. No credit. No replacements. They don't give a crap about customer service. They suck. Please shop somewhere else. This was my first time ordering from them and I will never shop there again. I wonder if my name was nanokaren if they would have been nicer to me... read more

Second time coming here. Second time having a bad experience. ALL OF THE STAFF and some of the customers don't wear masks. First time coming here, the guy that helped me dropped the fish I wanted behind the tank and basically just let it die while barely apologizing for it. Second time, asked some questions and they didn't even answer them, just acted like I didn't know anything. Left right away after buying a snail when I would've bought a bunch of coral if they would've been more helpful. Only thing I liked about this place was the coral selection. Fish selection is minimal. I'll be going to Seaside Fish in Huntington or LAX Aquarium in the future. What a shame since this one is so close to me. read more

This place was pretty cool. I've been to a few other ones and felt this one was really clean. They seem to have a really good amount of corals and fishes for sale. My son enjoyed walking around and seeing puffer fish and also sting rays. All the aquariums on display looked nice and the fish looked healthy. He guys that work here seem to know a lot about salt water aquariums and how to maintain them. We definitely want to come back! read more

What a journey when I started to look into getting my salt water tank little did I know what I was in store for as a beginner a couple of years back like everybody else you think you know what you want but little did I know Not knowing NOTHING about salt water fish I went to a store that wasn't Reef Lounge that of course like so many do they sold me everything I didn't need just to sell it to me and my journey began losing money in a hobby that I wanted to learn so much about and as time when on I remember buying my first set of fish and WoW! I can't say enough great things about this place. The team at Reef Lounge USA is helpful and knowledgeable but they don't stop there. The owner also maintains client tanks. I had an emergency recently where I accidentally poisoned my coral tank with copper medication. I called Jimmy and he was at my place within an hour with 125gal of new saltwater ready to do the emergency water change. I've been to a couple of reef stores & this one may not be the prettiest, but they do have an amazing selection. When you enter, the store looks smaller than what it actually is. Once you do enter, the maze of smaller size aquariums are amassed with abundant corals. My one plight was that it seemed like there was a shortage of workers. But once you are able to get help, you'll be rewarded with top notch service. They weren't frustrated at the 20,000 questions I asked or even frazzled by any of the questions. Overall, great selection, prices, and service. I'll definitely be back & will be recommending them as well. Also a plus? First time yelp check ins get $5.00 off of a purchase. It's not much, but in an economy like ours, it goes a long way. read more

I came all the way down from North Hollywood to pick up a few Borbonius (Blotchy) Anthias at a very very good price. Jimmy and another worker "sorry for got your name" hooked me up. I also purchased a pair of designer clowns as well. The store is very clean and organized. Nice selection of LPS and SPS as well as fish. Like deals on some items like 5.99 clown fishes! While stock last. Insane. I would absolutely make that journey to this shop again. Who knows maybe will pick up a purple tang or even maybe a Gem Tang lol. The employees aren't over whelming and won't bug you. They let you look around and ask periodically if you need assistance. Overall the customer service is very good. read more

Drove an hour to buy a Red Sea tank from this store (why not, good reviews) but was sourly disappointed at the lack of customer service. Also...there's a USED Red Sea Reefer 179 listed for $1,350 - what!? That's more than retail price for a new tank! I guess it was just bad timing, both workers were busy with maintenance... But if they're reading this, at least let your customers know that if they have any questions you're happy to help. Otherwise some people like myself feel like we annoy you just coming up to you while you're busy working on one of your tanks. I was so ready to drop +$1,000 on a Red Sea tank and you best believe I have 1 or 2 questions...even as an experienced Reefer. We love Jimmy and his crew! The shop is always immaculate and all the tanks are sparkling clean. Most other aquarium stores we've visited had a rank or musty odor, but Reef Lounge is pleasantly odor-free. I've spent many hours going through the huge selection of corals, the biggest I've ever seen. Jimmy built us an amazing 200 gallon aquarium for our home and set it up so there is very little maintenance required. The prices are very reasonable. They do our home maintenance visits every 6 weeks and are very thorough and leave the tank in amazing condition. They're very picky about where they get their livestock from, so they don't always have all kinds of critters in stock, but the stock is all healthy and beautiful. Terrible customer service!! My partner and I recently got into reefing and wanted to check out this store. We were there for about 30 minutes to an hour and asked for help multiple times with no response. There were more staff than customers so they should have been able to help us. Their pricing is absolutely ridiculous. They are most definitely over charging. Not even five minutes down the street is another LFS and that is where I'll be going. I will never give Reef Lounge a dime of my money which they basically told me they didn't want anyways by not offering to help at all. That same day we ended up going to the store down the street and got everything we wanted for about half the price it would have been here. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere. read more

One of my favorite Socal reef stores. I was in town for July 4th weekend from San Francisco and this shop did not disappoint. I bought a bunch of frags and Jason helped me pack it up for my 6 hour drive home. I came in on a Saturday and Jason was nice enough to open shop early on Sunday with all my corals packed ready for my drive home. Needless to say my frags were in perfect condition when I got home. A few days later I decided to buy some frags and they shipped it to me overnight same day, top notch service. Thanks reef lounge!! read more

Very unhappy with my experience with this company. I made two expensive orders online of coral and my first package was delayed with my corals coming in stressed and dead. I explained this to this company but they seemed to just brush off the situation. I then placed another order with some store credit I had and again there was a delay with my package being almost 10 hours late. Both my corals again came in stressed and ultimately died after 24 hours. I don't know what the disconnect is with the shipping company they use but with two or my order coming in with dead coral that's an issue and reef lounge didn't seem to even care about my situation after countless emails being sent to them with pictures and proof of my dead coral. They never responded and just blew me off terrible place for business I will never shop here again and will spread the word to my other reefing friends. read more
