I am relatively new to the hobby, and anyone else who has been where I am knows what it's like. Conflicting information, people acting elitist, overwhelming amounts of research, endless anxiety... And here we thought it'd be fun and relaxing! Ali was very kind and refreshing. His small store seems modest from outside, but when you step inside the place is wall to wall gorgeous aquariums that are incredibly well cared for. Coralline algae grows over the interior of every aquarium, a row of fat and happy BTAs sit bubblin happily, pulsing xenia in the corner greets you enthusiastically. The fish are all healthy, the corals look amazing, the lights are tuned to bring their colors out. Ali really cares about this hobby and it shows. But what was best to me was that he had none of that elitist energy. He was friendly, informative, and even helped give me some info about how to better tune my AI Prime 16 at home for my small aquarium. When I got home I tried out what he recommended and the colors in my existing corals revealed themselves like never before! We will be returning very soon! :) read more

Have been here a few times now .I can honestly say Ali is very knowledgeable when it comes to coral and saltwater fish .His shop and tanks are kept very clean, that's always a plus. I came here when I was having issues in my tank and my corals were going downhill. He explained to me the importance of "clean water" and how even if I have and RODI filter , if my city water contained chloramines it would hurt my coral. He suggested I buy an extra carbon canister and replace both carbon blocks with "chloramine removing " carbon blocks . Now my tank is back to normal . read more

We pass by this location often & wanted to stop by since we're looking to upgrade our tank. I'm not sure if it was because it was so close to closing time or if they are just like that but not once in the small amount of time we spend there, because the location isn't that big to begin with, were we approached & asked if we need assistance. There was a child that spoke with us but this was a literal child maybe 8 or 9 other than that no one from the staff approached us. Needless to say we wont be coming back for our needs here. They do have a nice set up, tanks look nice & clean, fish & coral look healthy but with no one to help you not much can be done. Not sure how they have such great ratings. I've been to just about every other LFS in the area and nowhere even comes close to here in terms of quality of corals and livestock. The owner, Ali, is very helpful and always looking to inspire new hobbyists. Ali is incredibly knowledgeable about saltwater tanks and goes to great lengths to make your tank look amazing, and not just sell you an expensive coral or fish that won't last long. Let me just say wow. I live in Westminster so it took me about almost 40 minutes to come here. Upon coming, I was skeptical as most would with most places. While walking in, you see this atmosphere of oceanic atmosphere. Though it's a small and compact building with few tanks, it is sometimes not about the quantity but what matters is the quality. I had to pick one coral for my nano 20 gallon tank and Ali (sorry if I misspelled it) was giving me helpful insight tips. Finally, out of the branching Frogspawn, Octospawn, a clam, and a Goniapora; I decided to go with the Goniapora due to its majestic nature. Today is the first day it's been in my tank, and usually Goniaporas take time to open up, but NOPE! This one decides to open up all the way! Truly beautiful. I just got back into reefing. I'm so glad I found this unique business. It's not your typical store. You know that store where you're just another customer, you shop around for what you need and then the cashier checks you out? So far I've been to this store 3-4 times. It's owner operated by Ali. He's very knowledgeable and I like how he only sells products that he stands by and live stock that you don't see in a typical fish store. When you purchase a coral or an animal from him, it's like you're buying it from his personal tanks and collection. He's only open from 2-6 and closed on Tuesdays. But remember it's owner operated. The times I've visited, I haven't seen 1 employee. I own my own business and I know it can really be tough finding an employee that would treat your business and customers like it was their own. The last time I visited I noticed he knew a lot of his customers names. That tells me a lot about him and the relationship he has with his customers. Check out the place for yourself. If you are looking for personal service this is the place for you. If you are looking for dirt cheap prices then I would say go somewhere else. I've been here about 3 times and it's still the store with the cleanest and most beautiful tanks. You can tell the owner (Ali) has a true passion and love for aquariums. The store doesn't look like your typical cluttered store but more like a museum or display. I see it as more of a place to admire the pretty tanks. Everything is well kept, shelves are pretty organized and the whole place is calm, relaxing and chill. Ali seems pretty knowledgable in his craft and is a wealth of information. My only complaints are that when there are more than a few customers in there getting help is pretty difficult. Also, the store hours are pretty limited. They open at 2pm on weekdays and 12pm on Fridays and Saturdays... I think they are closed one day a week but not sure which day... also they close at 6pm so you have a very small window to stop in here. Very non-customer friendly hours. I haven't been able to come back and give them my business for this very reason. read more

This place is like a candy store for the reefkeeper. They were featured on Reefbuilders.com during Reef-A-Palooza, and I decided to stop by and I haven't been disappointed. Ali is a true aquarist with a passion for his craft - just speak to him for a few minutes and it becomes apparent. The selection of Acans and Scolies available will blow you away, and the rare livestock (including a pair of orange-spotted filefish, a blue anemone, and some beautiful Australian golden hammer coral) itself is worth a visit. read more

The coolest thing about this place are the couches! OK so first off I'm not sure if I can REALLY classify this as an LFS. Amazing Aquariums (AA) lacks a lot of the things you would expect from an LFS, IE: Fish, Dry Goods and Equipment. I would classify AA as a specialty Coral shop. They specialize in Acans. According to the gentleman working the day we stopped by, who was helpful and knowledgeable, most of the corals are aquacultured in shop and incredibly colorful. All in all it's a cool shop with some amazing corals. Because of the rarity and quality of the corals expect a heavy pricetag on some of the more colorful livestock. Now realize they DID have a small selection of equipment, lighting and food but definitely light on selection. It's a small shop serving a pretty specific market, namely high end reefers.
