Oversprayed paint on our concrete, brick, roof, roof shingles, and solar panels. Our new gate…read morewon't close after one week, fence is completely coming apart after one week, no show April 24, 2025 to come fix fence, gate, and clean up overspray on concrete, brick, and white dog door in back. Altered invoices AFTER paid in full to include $150 to remove one screw and a corner board from carport while having the ladder nearby, would have gladly paid $25 or $50 but not $150 but Leslie did this. Added another line item of paint $220. They still owe us $1150 for the overpayment which we thought was for fencing but was for the discount they gave us due to the job being around $12,000. Even though they advertise on Yelp, Nextdoor, and HOUZZ and other apps that they are a General Contractor, they are not and in Okaloosa County and the state of Florida they are NOT licensed to do siding and failed to put flashing on our new siding so insurance will not take off the "red flag" until it is done correctly. Exterior doors, structural repairs, roofing, new electrical, is not allowed in Okaloosa County. They are a nice couple at first, they want the job and the money but if you tell them something is potentially wrong or even ask questions about your project, they go into defense mode despite the evidence. We even asked Leslie if a permit was required for the fence she said no and that is correct, but a permit is required for the siding they put in and they did not pull the permit. Mr Ortiz cut a pipe in the back by the back master bedroom and bathroom and it flooded the next day for nearly one full week. We did not blame them only asked if they knew where the water might be coming from inside since the pipe in the middle of the house was disturbed. The overspray on our roof shingles and solars panels is something TIMMERMAN ROOFING, who came out to inspect, has never seen in their many years of business. A total disregard for protecting our roof and we had no idea until our neighbors brought it to our attention. Leslie refused us 3x to come clean up the overspray; they charged us for pressure washing $200 and as you can see in the photos they never did the tops of them, they are still filthy but the guys who did it before just used a ladder but Leslie charged us anyway. And they DO NOT GUARANTEE THEIR WORK/labor AS ADVERTISED and are NOT GENERAL CONTRACTORS as shown in their company photos and titled Advertisements. We do not recommend using them at all.

When they first started to repair our…read moreroof they did it during some rainy days and we got water in our house because they didn't tarp the roof properly. After the repair was completed we got several nails in our shoes because there were so many left in our yard. They trimmed the trees so they wouldn't touch the roof but left all the branches in our yard and left some touching the roof. The project manager was pretty good about following up to fix these mistakes, and seemed genuine about fixing the issues. They sent a person to fix the stains on the ceiling from the leaking caused by them but he was a little rude when entering our house. Saying, "Finally answered the door huh". The project manager Drew did come by himself and pick and trim the rest of the tree branches but we still found a lot in the yard. Honestly Drew was great but the overall experience from this company was pretty bad. I had to go and buy a metal detector to get nails out of our yard after they said they came by and cleaned up two or three times, If I was rating Drew I'd give this a 4 out of 5 stars but the company I'll give 3 starts. Too many mistakes with too many follow ups and unfinished tasks. And after all the follow up work Drew did I want to rate it higher but can't bring my conscience to give a good rating. A review is so others can go to a place with confidence and I can't recommend this company with confidence.

We contracted with Timberman Roofing to replace our roof in March 2024. In preparation, we made…read moreappointments with four companies to come out and review what was being requested, address questions we had, and provide a quotation. Only two of the project managers (including Augy Gavenda for Timberman) actually walked the roof to see how bad the current roof was and see if there were any special situations, like a flatter part of our roof that handles a large quantity of runoff coming from a valley in the roof above. We received quotations from the four companies of which one was considerably more expensive than the other three. The remaining three were within $1K of each other. Just to be sure we were comparing apples to apples, we made sure that all of the quotations included similar items such as a water proof barrier, similarly warranted shingles and venting, similarly warranted labor and roof replacement, etc. Where there were differences, we asked for and received clarifications so that we could fairly compare the three quotes. We selected Timberman Roofing to replace our roof. They were the middle quotation of the three, but they had very high online ratings and Augy seemed to be more detail minded to us. He was quick to return our emails and calls. My wife commented about how courteous he was when she contacted him to ask a question. Our search began in November of 2023 and we finally were scheduled to have our roof installed in March of 2024. The crew that Timberman used to replace our roof worked extremely well together. They cleared the old roof and got the new roof installed in roughly two days, including installing some new flashing and siding that the wildlife had made a mess of. Both of my next door neighbor's commented about how hard the crew worked and how coordinated they were to make the job go efficiently. When they were done, they cleared all of the remaining waste and were so meticulous about getting up loose nails that I have only found one since they left. There were some additional costs above the fixed quotation, which we knew could be the case. Because of the age of our roof, a fairly large number of plywood sheets had to be replaced, some joists needed partial reframing, and there were other wood items that had to be replaced. We had figured the actual cost could be as much as 10% over the base quotation and were pleased that the total was slightly less than that. All in all, we are happy that we selected Timberman Roofing to install our new roof. Augy was great to work with throughout the whole process. We highly recommend Timberman to anyone who needs a new roof.

We had Pettinato Construction, Inc. gut and remodel our master bathroom. They are THE best…read moreconstruction company we've ever worked with! We appreciated working with a local, family owned company who is committed to serving the Gulf Breeze, Navarre, and Pensacola area (i.e. who didn't disappear to work in Mexico Beach, chasing the clean-up work post Hurricane Michael). We set up the project with them in November and asked that it start the first week in January. The work started on time, the demolition, rough construction, plumbing, tile work, electrical, and finishing carpentry work was done daily, and was finished in exactly TWO weeks! (The custom glass saloon-style doors can't be measured until the tile work is done. They were installed two weeks later, so the whole project took four weeks from beginning to end.) They discovered an unknown active termite problem (a blessing in disguise!) and worked very collaboratively with Bryan Pest Control to kill and remove them without the added work upsetting the timeline. John designed the project with his CAD program to help us imagine the possibilities of the space, Karen was the project estimator and work scheduler/coordinator, and Chris was our on-site coordinator and carpenter. (That guy can do anything and make it look easy!) Tony also effortlessly installed the tile. And the cost for the whole project was very reasonable. We now have a very functional master bath and we are SO pleased with it! It has a pocket door to close off the toilet area with ADA compliant grab bars, a roll-in rain and hand-held shower with grab bars that easily accommodates a wheelchair, a new closet for added storage, new floor tiles, and new quartz countertop and sinks. There were no surprise costs. All of the workers were very proud of the quality work they did and were very professional. We couldn't be happier.
