My friend and I came by on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy so we waited about 20 minutes before getting seated. The crawfish was $9.99 a pound that day so we ended up ordering: 1lbs of crawfish w/Tom Yum 1 lbs of crawfish w/Mix (cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) 1 lbs of crawfish w/garlic butter and lemon pepper For spice level, we got medium for all three and we also ordered some corn and potatoes. It's still a little early in the crawfish season so they were on the smaller size but the flavors and spice were perfect. My favorite was the Tom Yum seasoning. The corn and potatoes were also great! Our server was great- she helped with recommendations and always checked to see if our water cups were full. Delicious food and wonderful service. Can't wait to come back when the crawfish are bigger!

I had a crawfish craving so I decided to check out Reel seafood. The place was pretty busy. I just happen to hit it at the right time and was seated right away. Once I was seated, the server person came to the table to take my drink order, but I was ready to order food. I placed an order for 3 pounds of crawfish, side of french fries and an order of hush puppies. Service was nice and friendly. All my questions were addressed and they did check on me multiple times. This is a family, friendly establishment, and I did see several large parties of families. One of the things that's nice is they have a set of sinks in the corner of the dining room for you to wash your hands so you don't have to go all the way into the bathroom. There is plenty of parking because right now it's not really sharing any of the parking with other establishments in its direct area. My crawfish arrived to the table with the Tom Yum sauce, medium heat & quail eggs. I guess since it's still early in the season, the crawfish are still on the smallish side. The seasoning on the crawfish could have used a little bit more tom yum but overall, it was tasty. The french fries were nice and crispy and so were the hush puppies (only four little puppies to an order). One thing I did enjoy and was entertained by the person who brought the fries and the hush puppies to the table did a little sing song in introduction of the food as he was delivering the food, I enjoyed that. I will be back. Right now, crawfish is $11/pound.

Total happy accident kind of night. We originally landed at an Eagles bar, but between zero seats to actually watch the game and the smoke situation ‍, we pivoted. One kid wanted wings, the other seafood, and this spot popped up with both plus plenty of TVs -- sold. First green flag: real food-prep gloves for the Cajun boil (not the flimsy plastic ones that don't fit adult hands, let alone mine). Second green flag: a dedicated hand-washing station separate from the bathrooms -- something I always look for at Cajun boils, and they nailed it. We trusted our server's recommendations and said "absolutely," and I'm so glad we did. He even talked me out of something based on my food preferences -- that alone earned major points. Yes, we ordered crawfish even though they're out of season, so the size wasn't great (not their fault), but the flavor combo he suggested was unreal: tom yum + lemon pepper -- something I've never had before and would 100% order again. That said... had I known how insane the blue crabs were because they're in season, I would've stuck with those. They were HUGE. We went through a dozen and ended up ordering a few more because they were that good. Already planning to come back this week just for those crabs. Also grabbed wings -- perfectly cooked and super flavorful. And to top it all off, the Philadelphia Eagles won Great food, thoughtful details, solid service, and a W -- hard to beat that night.

I'm back and it's better! They moved from MoCity to The Heights and I can see why. This place was packed and the vibes were all that! Yes indeed. I don't mind traveling for good food and good drinks! This. Never disappoints.

There is simply no way this place is a 5. We were excited by the seafood asian fusion concept, but several of the dishes need work. The best thing we tried were the mini egg rolls, but it went downhill from there. The stir fried crab legs sounded interesting but it was not worth the money, 5 spider crab legs have almost no meat, and the sauce doesn't penetrate the shells so whats the point? It just makes them messy to open. Steam them with sauce on the side for dipping. No one cared for the gator bites with the sauce provided, too bland. They were better with the eggroll sauce. The garlic noodles were too harsh with a garlic sting to really enjoy. Service was so so. We wanted to order some wings, but I could never attract a waiters attention to do so. They refilled drinks promptly though. We ordered the beignets for desert. They are churro sticks.

One of the few places that sold fresh crawfish but it did not disappoint! The seasonings were sooo good and the service was amazing! $11/LB for fresh crawfish right now. My favorite seasoning combo is the garlic butter and lemon pepper. I will definitely be back. The restaurant was nice and spacious, good amount of seating.

Reel Seafood & Bar is a laid-back, casual spot. I love that. It's in my neighborhood. The crawfish is spicy and packed with flavor. The garlic noodles were honestly some of the best I've had in Houston. Rich, buttery, and loaded with garlic, they're worth a visit on their own. The chicken wings are big, juicy, and seasoned with bold flavors. Fries come out hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Service was very attentive and friendly, and there's plenty of free parking, which makes the experience even easier.

    Cajun Pasta
    Cara L.

Accompanied my friends to lunch today bc they were craving crawfish! As much as I love crawfish, I wasn't in the mood to do all that labor and opted for the Cajun Pasta. As a Cajun myself I did expect a little bit more and felt like the portions of the pasta were a little small. The flavor was really good and the mixed protein was a fun addition. My friends all got crawfish and it was amazing! They have a bunch of different seasonings to choose from and the Tom Yum and garlic butter were both delicious. The food came out fast and the service was very nice. The restaurant itself smelled so good walking in and they had a hand wash station and complimentary mouthwash which I thought was a nice and funny addition. Would come back!

Great service and delicious food! Huge parking lot so it's a breeze getting in and out. Their Happy Hour deals can't be beat. Everything is so flavorful and made to perfection, you really can't go wrong with anything you order here. My personal faves are the Japanese raw oysters and Thai basil garlic butter boiled seafood.

Food is great if you are looking for a non traditional crawfish boil! Service as far as getting beverages and your order in can be a little slow but everything we ordered came out fast! Very informal and friendly environment

Perfectly punny and a great seafood bar! Loved this joint and so so glad it was recommended to us!! I was not expecting it to be such a hoppin place on a Thursday night but we came right before the crowd came through so we got pretty lucky with a table as soon as we arrived. We ordered a dozen fresh oysters to start and then my niece had the garlic butter noodles, my sister and I shared a Reel Pack, my other sister ordered a pound of crawfish and then our cousin got three pounds. We all did Cajun, medium, and omg it was the best seafood - so fresh, so flavorful, and the perfect amount of seasoning that gave it a kick without feeling like you needed to drown your lips in an ice bath. The crab legs in our reel pack just melted in your mouth, it also came with crawfish, shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. There was sadly only two small potatoes but my sister didn't want any so it was enough for me. Only two small pieces of corn which I think soaks up the most flavor so bummed there wasn't more of that but that's pretty standard. All in all, it was awesome! Got to watch some Olympics, basketball, enjoy the bar vibes but with a seafood boil - it was a blast! Highly highly recommend!

Food was 7/10 !! The crawfish size was the best . As far as flavor this place isn't it. Seasons added to butter is all it is . I would still go back though for happy hour . Medium had a kick in it after you eat it for a bit lol Service was great . Enjoyed the waitress. Ambiance is live , they have music and a bar .

First taste of crawfish this season, and I left satisfied! I love it here. They check off all the boxes for me each time I'm having a seafood/crawfish craving. The Food: Chicken fried rice- I have to start by saying this is the least fave because it's bland. Threw some soy sauce on there and it's Gucci! Crawfish- Mkt $12/lb and decent sized. I got mild garlic butter and it was perfect!! Boudin balls- A classic, comes out piping hot! Reel fries- Ahh, fries topped with anything is good, but creamy cajun shrimp brings it to another level! Tom Yum wings- Highly recommend this and it's not salty like I assumed. Great balance of flavors. We washed it all down with frozen margaritas. The service was wonderful even with a full house. No need to go anywhere for the check, they bring the card machine to you and tap! You're done. Ready to roll out! Literally after eating all that sinful food. ;) PS- Cashless establishment

I wasn't too impressed the first time, and this visit certainly confirmed my initial thoughts. For La Lucha's Happy Hour, you get a choice between 2 types of oysters ($1.50 each). These were great - do this on a weekday before 6pm and you should be able to grab a table without a reservation. Barely even after we started eating the oysters, the waitress was already asking if we wanted to order more, instead of allowing us to just enjoy our food without interruptions. The menus they gave at our table were inconsistent and had different menu items. I had to ask for clarification if the redfish was on the menu since it wasn't on two of the three menus given to us. So, quality control was a miss. Rest of the menu... is limited. Everything was so greasy, from the fried chicken, the redfish, and shrimp tacos. * Red fish with pecans - 6/10. The fish did not taste like it was seasoned with salt. It was well cooked, not dry at all, but it lacked any sort of seasoning aside from the butter and pecans on top. * Shrimp Tacos - 4/10. I think I prefer Taco Bell over this one. The shell was greasy, not crisp (felt like it was stale), and I was confused with the combination of American Cheese and shrimp. They also added hot sauce or spicy salsa in the tacos - so a warning if you can't handle spice (not mentioned on the menu). * Half Fried Chicken - 5/10. The chicken was moist. Been here once before and it was quite dry, so I'm glad this was cooked well. You get 2 thighs, a wing, and a drumstick (4pc). Again, there was a lack of any seasoning on the chicken itself & the exterior. Sadly, the sauce that we picked was not the best either - oyster mayo. It would've been nice to try the others, but the half order came with one sauce. The seasonal jam that was available was the peach jam. It went well with the biscuits (half order comes with 2 biscuits, any extra is $1.50). For my people who get cold in restaurants, I would recommend bringing a light jacket since they turn the A/C up.

Arrived Sunday at noon and we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Our server was super friendly and helpful since this was our first time eating here. She recommended the lychee lemonade and it did not disappoint. Although my man thought it was too sweet.. I thought it was just right. For starters we ordered hush puppies and seafood gumbo. The hush puppies are really good and I also liked the tartar sauce. When the seafood gumbo came out and it was sat on the table, I smelled a foul odor. It smelled spoiled. I told my man and he said he thought it was the crab, The crab smelt funky. He did tell the server and she told the manager and they removed it from our check. We think maybe the crab was frozen and or spoiled. I ordered The fish and chips. A really good portion and the flavor was good. I did like the fish and french fries. The coleslaw was just okay not my favorite. My man ordered a pound of very spicy black mussels and 2 lb of very spicy live crawfish. The flavor was good. The muscles were a bit too salty for me but the flavor was still good. The restaurant does get pretty lively but they do have plenty of staff. Overall I'll say the service was top-notch but I don't know that I would dine again. If so, I'll definitely get that lychee lemonade and hush puppies again :)
